Very elegant French restaurant. Excellent food and service.
A beautiful venue with lovely staff and delicious food...
Beautiful space with subtle Moroccan touches and homage to the Majrorelle blue namesake as well as some Moroccan-influenced French dishes. The most gorgeous flower arrangements and I highly recommend arriving early for an aperitif in the elegant bar beforehand. However, for the price of the dinner, it should have been the most amazing meal of my life instead of just good.
Service, food.ambience is impeccable. My wife and I look forward to dining here again in the near future.
Fantastic. Ambience is wonderful and the service is impeccable.
Fabulous !!! We had a delicious lunch. Great service. Even the drinks were generous !
Best cheese soufflé that I have had...
Perfection. Absolutely delicious. Beautifully composed dishes.
Went for dinner with friends. Amazing service and nice ambiance, but the food is another story.
* Foie Gras PoêlÉ au sauternes - was swimming in oil.
* artichauts, foie GRas - the foie from pieces were so small, could not find them.
* Céviche de Bass au citron - surprisingly good.
* tajine d’Agneau aux Navets, Pruneaux, Couscous - the lam was very nice, the couscous was bland and had no flavor.
* filet de boeuf rossini - not bad, but nothing spectacular.
* baba au rhum - awful, just awful. A piece of bland bread covered in rum...
* nos soufflés - not bad, had better.
Our reservation was durring À LA CARTE SUPPER and it would have been cheaper will bill us a la carte, but the restaurant billed us pre fix.
For the money spent we received mediocre food, superb service.
If you are a foodie, skip this restaurant and go somewhere else.
Most enjoyable experience - cuisine, ambiance and service were equally exceptional.
Food was delicious!! But the tables are far too close together. The waiters were constantly rushing around (say in contrast to somewhere like The Bristol in Paris, where they glide discreetly! It was like watching a fast forward Disney movie. And we hated the fact that our meal came so quickly. Agreed, no-one wants to wait too long. But there was barely 4 minutes between starter and main, so no time to savour each course. We felt they couldn't wait to get us out so that the next couple could take our table. For a restaurant of this price (and our bill came to a whopping $570 once we added in the expected NY service tip) this was all wrong. It should have been the special occasion that we were looking forward to, something to remember with pleasure. Instead of which, the excellence of the food - and it was very good indeed - was eclipsed by the frenetic, noisy and unsatisfactory.
Beautiful in every way!
Exquisite restaurant. Charles Masson's finest. We enjoyed every moment
I think it is extremely important that it is clear there is a fixed price for dinner no matter if you just have soup. The cost was outrageous for what we had.
We just needed to know that’s all.
My first time at Majorelle, and it surpassed expectations. Charles and his team created an impeccable experience. The atmosphere was perfect, and the food even better. Every detail is perfect. This will be my new go-to on the UES. It literally has no competition.
The best restaurant in NYC
Perfect Upper East Side oasis for delightful French cuisine! Scallops in orange oil were delightful, veal and shortbreads were even better, lovely Chassagne-Montrachet from the WL.
Service exceeded expectations, as usual. Table captain and servers were authentic, politely attentive without hint of hovering. Yes, do it; you'll feel more comfortable here in a jacket.
Food, service, and decor were all exceptional. Could use a moderately more energy like from background music in order to attract more guests who are not yet senior citizens.
Elegant, beautiful, charming, delicious. A very special spot.
Majorelle is total high class perfection. Charles Masson is a creative kind brilliant genius
Anniversary. Excellent tine.
Outstanding evening from start to finish.
A meal here is simply a wonderful experience on all levels!
A true treat!
A beautiful day!
Four starts for the food feels a little mean - - it was excellent. But it wasn't quite up to the standards of say, Daniel, in terms of complexity and presentation, but the price point was similar. If three courses prix-fix had been $100 instead of $122, then I would have given the food 5 stars no question
Elegant restaurant with excellent food and service. Not cheap, however.
An OUTSTANDING restaurant. Truly professional in all ways!
Superb at all levels
This is such a lovely place to dine,, food is terrific. Service is solid although there was a few times we had to find a server to inquire about drinks we had Orestes. Highly recommended.
The food, service and ambiance were excellent but clearly directed toward a more mature clientele so it was bit dull. Moreover, the price was far beyond that of better restaurants of equivalent quality. The fixed price was particularly onerous as we came in late for a small dinner.
The ambiance was wonderful, the food was outstanding and the service was exceptional. Majorelle is truly one of the best and finest restaurants in New York, and I look forward to returning often.
Absolutely gorgeous setting! Impeccable Service! Delicious food!
Ask for the Prix Fixe menu (they didn't offer it immediately) if you are in a hurry or on a budget (relatively speaking).
Definitely order the dessert souffles!
I enjoy the total ambiance of Majorelle. The service is above par. The waiters are attentive but never too familiar.
The floral settings are always outstanding. It is very much Charles' signature.
I enjoy the intimacy of the setting. The food is always good.
Absolutely flawless service, attention to every detail and a most elegant cuisine. A superb experience that we love to indulge ourselves with a couple of times a year.
The service, wait staff knowledge and food was as good as it gets. The Dover sole with mustard sauce was amazing. Oxtail was intense and very tender. Floating Islands and soufflé were wonderful. Among the best in NYC.
One word “great”
The food was delicious & plentiful & different. Service wonderful &helpful. Cocktails enchanting.
Outdoor seating w/fireplace a unique experience.
Excellent food with exceptional service.
Classic French that is a good go-to for fine dining in NYC.
