After many years of hearing about Majolica, we finally decided to give it a try. True, the menu is limited but it is diverse and interesting. The portions were large and we left completely stuffed (no room left for dessert!). We had an early reservation (6 pm), and upon arriving we were brought to the back of the restaurant to a table near the opened basement door. After reading a previous review, I decided to request that we be moved to another table away from the draft. They were more than happy to move us, and we remained toasty throughout our excellent meal. We had a nice chat with the chef as we left. All in all, a nice evening at a local gem of a restaurant. We will definitely be back.

The menu choices were a bit odd. I like different types of food, but this was a little much for me. Could not find anything that appealed to me. The bread they brought out was excellent and the chief's complimentary appetizer was wonderful. I had the short ribs and it was kind of like onion soup in a bowl. Had lots of bread on top and cheese....wasn't what I thought it would be. My friend had the cauliflower soup with mussels and said hers was delicious.

The evening lived up to all the hype in the reviews. The menu is limited but has great variety. The kitchen was accommodating for gluten free. Presentation was superb.

My girlfriend & I selected Majolica for our 5 year anniv. After reading the Craig Laban review and other press, we were eagerly anticipating a great evening. Even the snow & cold of the day didn't keep us away. We arrived promptly and were escorted to our table. A nice quiet table in the back we thought. Then 10 minutes into the evening, one of the kitchen staff, made his way through and opened a trap door to the basement. Wow it got cold fast, and was open for a good 8 to 10 minutes. By the time he came up we were freezing. Its ok the server told us, he never does that and it shouldn't happen again. Really? Three more times during our dinner. More Cold. Noise. Very Disturbing. On a Saturday Night! Food was great, but we wont be back.

the food is EXCELLENT at Majolica - probably the best in Phoenixville. We hadn't been in a while and I was glad to experience the same great quality we had come to expect from previous visits. The service lacked somewhat but assume it was just an off night.

Have dined here many times over the years and it never disappoints. Truly the best ret restaurant in Chester County! The service is phenomenal each and every time. They are knowledgable and professional, something we don't often have in the suburbs! The food is fantastic. Such a treat to have a truly thought out menu. So happy Andrew Deery is in Phoenixville! If you are thinking of going, treat yourself, Deery is the best!

The food was wonderful. The chef offers complimentary light bites before the meal, which was nice, and the main course was very good. The cauliflower soup and cucumber sorbet were especially tasty. I will definitely dine here again.

First time visiting Majolica and the food was outstanding. We had the pork loin and the ribeye, leaving very little left on the plate. I would most definitely recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for a good meal.

I have been to this restaurant several times and always had a very good experience. Not the last time I went. We had to wait over an hour just to get our appetizers. Then another 45 min. for our main course, one of which arrived cold. We had coffee afterwards - again cold.
Usually, the food and service is very good, so maybe this was just a one-time mishap. They apologized and took the dessert off our bill, but I'm still not sure I want to go back in the near future.

This was our first time at Majolica as it is a little out of the way for us but we were going to be in the area so gave it a try. Well worth the drive! The food is all around great. They had some fresh oysters available that evening which were outstanding. The menu is not extensive but broad enough to cover anyone's needs. The appetizers are extensive and very good. This is a BYOB as well.

Will be on our short list for a return visit for sure.

Picked this restaurant because of excellent reviews before realizing there was a vegan in our large party. With a day's warning the restaurant offered two good entrees prepared specially, but there was nothing on the menu. Otherwise service was leisurely but the food was very nice.

Our party of 4 tried the tasting menu. Food was fantastic. Octopus is the best I've had in the Philly area by far and the Earl Grey sorbet was a great way to end the meal. Service was a little slow taking (45 minutes before our order was taken), but since we were catching up with friends from out-of-town it was okay. The food service once our order was placed was good.

Get ready for the best food in the area! Bring your favorite wine. Try to get a seat close to the chef, and be wowed!

Menu is great, but leave it in the chefs hands (be clear about allergies)! They will take you through six courses of maddeningly great food!

Reserve early and if you haven't been, you'll never forget the experience. This restaurant is on par with most of the really great restaurants in Chicago!

This last visit was our 2nd time to Majolica and we were not disappointed. The food was incredible as the first time we were there and service is at a nice, leisurely place so we did not feel rushed. The only negative is the service was a little slow. Our waitress was great but she seemed to be very busy with a lot of tables.

Party of four arrived on time and were seated promptly. Last good thing. Waited an hour and 15 minutes for appetizers (two cold and two soups-just needed plating) and another 45 minutes for entrees. Tried to joke about it with the waiter who was humorless and approaching surly. Two top next to us: seated after us, completed dinner, table turned to another two, who were on their appetizers when our entrees arrived. Food was OK but not as good as last visit. We felt that we should have been offered something for our much delayed food-a free dessert perhaps. Attitude and acknowlegement of a problem can go a long way to avoid disappointment. Our party dines out weekly, and we have have many varied dining experiences. This was not a good one.

The meal including appetizers was very good. It was a special occasion and we felt that they did a very good job of preparing some fine courses. Notable was the duck, several of the appetizers, pate and cheese balls. The cauliflower with sturgeon caviar was excellent. You can tell they take pride in their profession.

We have always enjoyed Majolica, but don't get to go as frequently as we would like. After spending all day Sunday decorating the house for Christmas, we decided we needed a treat, so went to Majolica for a peaceful, relaxing dinner. As usual, the food was excellent, the service was friendly and professional, and we had a great time. Hopefully our next visit will be soon - we love this place!

The food here is to die for - it is SO good! Very fresh, well prepared appealingly served. There is such a warm friendly atmosphere here. We were served additional on the house tastes as well as what we ordered which were also delicious and such a nice gesture. If only we weren't an hour and a half away! I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Majolica is the only place for more perfect meals than those prepared by our elder son. We appreciate previewing the menu and choosing which wines to bring along. Vegetables, seafood and meats -- all succulent and served with creative side sauces and relish in absolutely perfect proportions. Roasted beet salad followed by lamb, accompanied by cucumber in yogurt and minced dried tomato won my heart. Waitstaff allows good time to savor each course.

Appropriate portions (not huge) perfectly prepared. Unusual menu choices but also always traditional and vegetarian options available. If you want something special, call ahead and the chef/owner will try to accommodate. Have not tried tasting menus yet, but was told if you don't like something (such as seafood, etc.) they will provide another selection. One of our favorite spots. Also the BYOB makes the check painless.

Seated promptly for our reservation. Food was good but nothing wowed us. Octopus was grilled and very good. Cioppino was OK - squid was rubbery and sauce had no bite. Pasta dish with veggies was bland. Steak was a hit but it was not served medium as requested - it was closer to medium rare with no explanation when served. Desserts were good - especially the nutella and banana crepe. Service was spotty - it's a BYOB and wine is kept chilled in an ice bucket away from your table. We needed to ask SEVERAL times to have our wine glasses refilled and water galasses were often left empty. Cost with tip is over $100 per couple.

Haven't been here for a while. Was a bit disappointed with the menu changes... we weren't offered the 5 course tasting this time. Not sure if it was discontinued or not... and we didn't ask, so perhaps it just was an oversight. Food and service was very good... but not outstanding.

Braised short ribs were meh... otherwise a good outing.

It wasn't the waiter's fault but he initially did not acknowledge what was going on. The food was very late out from kitchen. First he brought only one dish and six mind later bought the other, which turned out to be raw and had to be sent back. It's was very disappointing
