First time disappointed. Food wasn’t great. Felt ignored by server. Darn, Chef Deery.
Andrew Deery's cuisine is exquisite, often sublime. The menu at Majolica may not be huge, but it is very thoughtfully planned -- diners can choose among a wide variety of handsomely presented dishes, many of them offering original treatments of familiar ingredients (often locally sourced) or exciting takes on unfamiliar things. The tasting menu is superb. From appetizers and entrees through desserts, Majolica is a diner's paradise.
Chef Andrew and his staff create the best locally sourced dinning in the area. Without a doubt on our in our minds. Majolica doesn't create massed produced food and I don't think he could either. Each creation is focused with Chef Andrews' ability to blend flavor combinations that continue to amaze and delight us, time and time again.
We've been going to Majolica for 14 years. Chef Andrew has been in the kitchen every time. To me, that points out his dedication to his business and most importantly his customers.
The food was absolutely amazingly delicious and the service was wonderful. Would recommend for anyone looking for upscale dining. Save room for dessert!
Menu offers creative tasty selections. I have often eaten here and never been disappointed.
We recently went to Majolica for my husbands birthday and ordered the 6 course tasting. The chef made an amazing meal- scallop carpaccio with aged balsamic and pecan, lobster consommé with lobster tortellini, cured egg yolk with onion soubise, chives, toasted oats, eggplant and mushroom terrine, squid "pasta" Bolognese, sea bream with cippolini for me, lamb chops for him, raclette cheese soufflé, flan with mango. Not only were the dishes tasty, but creative with contrasting flavors and textures all beautifully presented. I also loved the quiet ambience, the excellent service and attention to detail. The chef was attentive to our dietary restrictions, and this was much appreciated. Majolica is our go to restaurant for amazing meal, and better than many restaurants in the city.
This is always one of my favorite restaurants. The chef is extremely creative, the staff members are friendly and accomodating. In addition the servers are very knowledgeable about each dish and attentive.
Great dining experience. Service is exceptional and food is perfect.
This was our first time at Majolica. We can’t stop raving about the food, the service and the whole amazing experience ! Little touches like a surprise amuse-bouche of Tuna Tartare and an exquisite palate cleanser of incredible cantaloupe sorbet with caramélisés prosciutto! We will return soon!
We really like Majolica and often wonder why we don't return more often It's an intimate setting with a small seating that make it perfect a special gatherings. The service is great and the food is above board for the area. If you haven't gone its well worth a visit.
The back room should ne redone a bit from an ambiance perspective, but the cooking is superb
It feels like home. An intimate space, with warm and caring service.
Service was good. Food was delicious- recommend the scallop appetizer and duck confit entree. Doughnuts for dessert were well worth it!
As always, Andrew and his team present an amazing meal with wonderful serve.
Over years, Andrew & his team consistently offer an outstanding culinary experience with a creative sophisticated menu, & gracious knowledgeable service from the seasoned staff. Majolica has long been & is THE GEM in Phoenixville. Friends from Center City & Chestnut Hill love to come out to MAJOLICA.
Still our favorite restaurant. When we go to Majolica, we anticipate all week for the amazing dishes we know we will be eating. This dinners tasting was outstanding as usual- oysters with housemade kimchi, Borscht (who knew this would be a favorite), crab avocado toast, lightly seared red trout on carmelized scallions, citrus and hearts of palm salad (perfect pairing with our pinot noir) melon sorbet and short ribs with potato / eggplant with beluga lentils (for the pescatarian). Every dish was new, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Service as usual was impeccable. We went with friends, and this is our go to place for tasting wines. Thanks again to the chef and staff for another great night.
Excellent food & service, as always
Our meal and service was excellent. The food presentation, taste, and creativity created a wonderful dining experience. Can't wait to return.
We’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and we’re excited we finally did it. The food was exceptional, and we’ll definitely be returning...hopefully to do the tasting menu!
Really enjoyed our meal here prior to going to the Colonial Theater across the street for dinner. We told our waitress Patricia that we needed to make sure to get to the move in 1.5 hours and we had plenty of time and attention. The food was incredible, we had the monkfish, grilled scallops, oysters, and soup. Really oustanding resturant and a great choice for a date night or family dinner. It's nice to see the variety of food and bars in the area, I wish we had discovered Majorlica earlier!
Wonderful evening and excellent food!❤️
Always excellent. Chef Andrew puts tastes together in a creative way. His menus are seasonally changing using fresh local food to create unusual and delicious options. Prices are moderate for a real "foodie place."
Service is excellent and friendly. Great BYOB place!
A warm friendly place with ingenious food served with an artistic eye. Rotating menu that never fails to impress and make your inner foodie go "wow!"
Majolica is consistently at the top of the dining game. Doug and Cheryl run a friendly, attentive, we’ll-informed front and Andrew is a chef who could compete in any major metropolitan area. The fact that Majolica is in Phoenixville is a plus for any who wants Philly-level dining without Philly traffic.
Andrew and his wonderful staff make dinner into a treasured experience. I have never had a bad meal (or even an average meal) there in all the years I have been eating at Majolica. The attention to detail is unmatched, certainly in Phoenixville, but almost anywhere in the region! Relaxed, comfortable service, with sublime food, and easily the tastiest desserts around, any night of the week you will have a tremendous meal. If you don’t order the duck cassoulet, you are a fool, and I don’t want to know you. End of story! Thank you, again, to the entire staff. Love love love to you all!!
We took a newbie couple to Majolica's on Sunday. They comfirmed what I've (we've) thought for 14 years. This restaurant is a fantastic dinining experience. Chef Andrew is the best around at what he does! And that's no BS.
The food and service was spot. The atmosphere was wonderful. Great for a date night.
We had: blood orange salad and squash soup for the first course, pork porchetta and filet with root vegetables for the second, and chocolate cremoso (a few dollops of ganache sitting in a custard/nut bed) and earl grey tea with lemon curd for dessert. Amuse bouche were fun and appropriate, too.
Great food, good service, quiet ambience but with an underlying excitement from everyone enjoying themselves. An important asset for Phoenixville. Enjoy a special night out.
Had the six course tasting menu. Each course was a surprise and all were excellent! The chef was very accommodating to meet dietary restrictions and preferences. So delicious and fun but pricey. The restaurant is lovely but it was a bit drafty and chilly. Even so, I would highly recommend it.
Incredible! I can’t stop thinking about the Farro risotto!
Awesome night with friends celebrating our Birthdays!
We celebrated our 43rd Wedding Anniversary at Majolica last night and as always everything was delicious and outstanding! The food and the service was over the top. There were five of us and we shared several appetizers and our entree’s and then desert. What a fabulous night.
Another great meal. Imaginative food. Attentive service. Nicely paced.
Great choice for dinner in Phoenixville. There are plenty of places for bar food in Phoenixville but if you are looking for something a little more special, Majolica is the place. This is not a steak and potato restaurant but rather a place with more variety in the menu. My wife had the monkfish and I had a rabbit dish and both were excellent. The service was outstanding.
Nothing extravagant here at all just over priced average fair. All of the tables were propped level strangely with wine corks, we almost dumped our table over twice, and the chairs were all about to fall apart.
Very well executed dishes. Flavors were very clean.
Majolica is consistently excellent, food AND service. And being a BYOB, the overall price is very reasonable.
I've been going to Majolica since they opened, and it's always a great experience from ambiance to service to the creative and delicious menu. On this most recent visit, it was a Sunday so the tasting menu was available (not avail. on Fri / Sat), and as usual it was interesting and tasty to let the chef pick multiple small courses.
Truly one of the best dining experiences I've had in forever. It was a flawless meal in both food as well as service. The menu and creative combination of ingredients (like the rabbit ragout, pappardelle pasta, sopressata and olives) have me looking forward to my next visit and many visits to come. Majolica was awesome.
