Delicious food. Only issues were they ran out of guacamole and they advertise their "churro bar" to come with nutella, but it is simply chocolate syrup.

Beware, for those requiring a gluten free diet: the fish tacos are not gluten free! Even though the menu says the breading is GF, and the server on our first visit assured us they are GF, they share the same deep fryer as the churros! So there is a potentially high level of cross contamination. We suspected gluten ingestion but could not think of where from until on a visit to another Maiz location we were informed of the fryer issue. Maiz needs to increase awareness of cross contamination and note that items that have gluten free ingredients but then are deep fried are not safe for those with celiac disease. That being said, there are many other GF choices on their menu and great cider on tap from Brickworks Cider House.

Food was delicious, authentic and reasonably priced. Loved the in-house sauces and drinks. Tried the gobernador and fish tacos which were awesome. The Staff were friendly and gave honest recommendations. Great restaurant! Doesn’t compare to the hipster over priced taco restaurants.

The place was really hot (no A/C). Food doesn’t taste as actual Latin food. On the other hand the customer service was good, the gentleman that took care of us was very caring and kind.

The atmosphere is amazing, nice music, beautiful decoration and lightning. The food was not at all what we were expecting for the listed price, not really authentic flavors, presentation or textures. The waitress was very suite, always smiling, very nice lady. I suggest the owners to take the time to train the waitresses and cooks about food allergies... I told the waitress my son is allergic to peanut and tree nuts, and of the deserts contained Nutella, I asked for other options and the lady literally said "There's no nuts or peanuts in Nutella"....... speechless..... this is very dangerous for clients with allergies.

Welcome to Roncy, Maiz! Super delicious and truly authentic tasting. I took a taco home for the Mexican student living with us, and his comment was ‘That’s the real deal!’ The mini arepas app were so flavourful, and the crunch magical. My tacos were super good, and my husband gave two thumbs up to his empanadas Rojas! We’ll be back!

Love the friendliness of the server and the quality of food :) They don’t have so many tables so recommend to book a table in advance if possible. So glad we have this open in our hood and will definitely go back again soon 😘

These are the best tacos in Toronto- bar none. Adding guac is only 0.50 per taco and the tortillas are corn-based and super flavorful. Unparalleled!
