Amazing service and literally INSANE food and drinks. Will be returning for sure.
Everything was perfect but very noisy, it was very hard to hear one another.
Great spacing and protocols for safety. Food and service was of the highest quality and I am a picky diner. Would recommend to anyone.
Happy I tried the French onion soup - it was delicious. Cocktails were nice and strong. Entries were well prepared and tasted great.
Music too loud, overly loud with all conversations, almost had to shout to carry on own conversation.Beef bourgion very bland. My home cooked very definitely more savory.
Had an amazing dinner. Food was incredible, cocktails were perfect and our server Tyona was an absolute delight! She, along with Ang the manager, put the whole experience over the top! Thank you for a great evening.
The food was excellent, all 3 courses for all 3 people got rave reviews. It's pretty traditional fine-dining French cuisine, executed very well.
Portions of main courses and desserts could stand to be just a little bigger.
The food was good but the service was very rushed. Not a relaxing way to spend $500.00.
Portion was very small, my eggs benedict came on a portion of a croissant (not an entire thing). The eggs were also extremely goo'ey and not poached well.
I usually don’t leave bad reviews for a restaurant and just rate it lower. But thought I would talk a little about my experience here.
A server from the kitchen brought out our food and asked if we needed anything and we said just some ketchup. It took a while for him to come back with it and our main server came around to asked how the food was and if we needed anything. Since the first server was taking a while, we just told her we needed ketchup (assuming the first server forgot). Within the next 5 min, the first server came and brought the ketchup and then a few minutes later our main server came with her ketchup. And she made a comment and said “I see you asked two of us to get you ketchup.” But in a very condescending tone. Then she dropped it on the table and walked away. We all just looked at each other after she left and was kind of shocked. We just found it quite rude, also unsure why this comment was made in the first place. Given the situation, the first waiter took a while to provide us with what we asked for so we just simply asked the second waiter (our main server) the same thing.
Food was mediocre, the eggs Hemingway was okay. The crepe was better, and the best item was the burger. The prices were okay, not too expensive but we most likely won’t be coming back.
Everything was delicious and the restaurant is beautiful. The staff were friendly and the drinks were great!
Lovely experience, great service.
Great ambiance, food was excellent and service impeccable! Will be back for sure
Great location near subway access.
Food and drink variety is ample with lots of French classics.
Service was spot on.
Our party of four was really looking forward to dining at Maison Selby. Unfortunately our waiter was distracted and wasn't very attentive. The other serving team members were much better. The appetizers were excellent; nicely plated and flavourful. The mains however, while visually appealing were underwhelming in flavour, which was a disappointment. The beef bourguignon was so tender, but had no taste. The bouillabaisse was deconstructed, which I can appreciate, but again, had not much flavour. The setting of the restaurant is beautiful. I wished our overall experience would have been better. Our guests enjoyed themselves though.
Ask for a table in the bar area or main restaurant
Tout était délicieux ! Dîner à la bougie un succulent repas français ce n'est pas simple à trouver à Toronto. Je recommande mille fois Maison Selby !
Maison Shebly is my favourite French restaurant in Toronto. Highly recommend
Great food, cozy atmosphere.
Always a good time and food. Music could be more mellow or soft jazz. Great staff.
Serving a cocktail in a CHIPPED CUP is so...unforgivable, luckily I noticed it before it hurt my mouth. and the server and bartender was discussing us loudly which i can clearly hear it. LOL .............. I don't think they care about the restaurant , they just want muck around and get paid.
the food clearly doesn't match the price , $170+ for 1 cocktail, 2 appetizers, 2 entrée ) . for this price u can find better choices in town easily.
I love their burgers! Would be perfect if they had desserts that were dairy-free.
The meals the three of had were a disappointment. This was our first experience at Maison Selby and it didn't match its reputation. The steak was tough, the mussels herein a very ordinary sauce, the oysters were not full of the taste of the sea. Sadly, an evening to forget.
Beautiful restaurant, excellent service and delicious food. We all cleaned our plates!
Very beautiful inside. Service is great. Just very limited menu. Was told they will extend their menu soon. Hope they do so very soon.
Delicious food and stellar service in a setting that manages to be both relaxed and sophisticated.
Beautifully designed with attention to details, friendly service and delightful selection.
It was unfortunate that, in addition to being cold, and not having outdoor heaters, cement was being poured nearby while I ate. The food was wonderful, but it was cold very quickly because of the weather. Staff were lovely.
We had a lovely meal with excellent service from Thomas
I do have to mention it was a Sunday. The appetizers were great. We both had the filet steak the cut and quality were great but the steaks weren’t seasoned at all which was pretty disappointing. The server wasn’t attentive as she never asked how our food was.
Overall experience was subpar.
Maison Selby offers a beautiful atmosphere with good food.
My favourite French Restaurant in town. Great service and ambiance.
The service was fab (servers were so kind and fantastic!) and the ambiance was awesome - super cool restaurant designs however the food was pretty bad. My meal was cold by the time it arrived and honestly didn't taste that great. Bring up the food quality and then I would definitely recommend this spot to other people!
Fantastic ambience, excellent service and wonderful food.
We each had a different entree and all of us loved the food. I had the trout and it was done to perfection. The staff were friendly and professional. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Really tasty authentic French food
The restaurant is decorated with taste
Good good nice atmosphere. Didn't break the bank, good value for money
Great ambience and food. Good service. French Onion soup and the Crepe suzette were the highlights for us.
Really good restaurant ! I would come back for sure 🙂
the food & service was great
