Maison Pucha Bistro
This is a WONDERFUL restaurant. I’ve been going since they opened. Highly recommend for quality, service and menu ingenuity. I experienced my very first hiccup this week. My soup, and my dining guests soup, was barely luke warm when it arrived. It was resolved within minutes, literally, and then perfect. If you like white wine order a bottle of the Chablis - lovely. I do wish they would bring back their Mac-n-Cheese fries! Unique and fun option to start. Thanks for keeping the popovers!
I was very disappointed with the restaurant i had heard so many good things . We were sat to the left of the entrance and the smoke and strong smells from the kitchen was over whelming My clothes stank and so did my hair of very strong food i do believe the Exhaust was not working good . The Beef that my husband got was stringy and tough and when we told our Waiter he stated he would tell the chef and after that our service went downhill.
My husband stated he will not be going back .
The smoke from the kitchen filled the restaurant and I smelled like burnt grease after I departed. Disappointed that they don’t have a better ventilation system.
Nice food and service, lacking ambiance and unfortunately very very loud for a date...
The restaurant never disappoints. Excellent food and service.
Never, ever skip the souffle! Best anywhere!!
A French restaurant with mediocre bread is two strikes. The menu is rather limited.
The bar, the location , and the people keep me coming back, but this is not one of my favorites.
Oh, yeah...my wife loves the place.
Alberto is a superb waiter! He is very friendly and helpful when making food selection choices. You can tell that he truly enjoys his work and making for a most pleasurable dining experience. The chef at Maison Pucha is both artistic and masterful in his plating design and the food is absolutely wonderful. We will return again and again!
Attentive service, excellent food, and a beautiful building. What more can you ask for?
Excellent food and service
Ricardo Excellent! Food delicious but a little pricey.
Always enjoyable in all respects.
Awesome service and delicious food.
The soufflé is “out of this world”
Food was amazing, service was lacking. Unfortunate, as I thought we found a neighborhood gem for Sunday brunch.
The food was excellent but service was not up to expectations. Took a very long time for cocktails to arrive. Had to remind the server to bring our salad order.
The food was again outstanding and nicely presented.
The only thing we do not find ideal are the smaller tables (for2) being placed next to a wall. That leaves not much room to operate your cutlery.
Other than that always a very pleasant evening at Maison Pucha!
Maison Pucha Bistro was perfect for our anniversary celebration dinner. Everything we ordered was fantastic and the service was some of the best I've experienced in the last several years. A true dining pleasure.
We had a great dinner at Maison Pucha again. The food, service, and friendliness never disappoint. Their private room is so nice, & we enjoyed service by Whelan tonight.
Really fine dining. Chef knows what he is doing. The chocolate soufflé was out of this world
Don’t miss the duck main course
Great food and great service! Definitely will be back again!
Fantastic food, one of the best meals I have had in Houston recently. The fresh made chocolate soufflé is to die for. Already booked a table for tonight.
Wonderful food and service. Beautiful presentation. Great wine selection.
Wonderful Wagiu Steak Frites
Food was really good and the service was excellent. The wine list is priced too high for the neighborhood.
Maison Pucha Bistro never disappoints! We love having family celebrations!
This is now my Go To!!!!
Food was amazing, their gastronomy is at a worldwide level.
The restaurant is very nice and with an inviting menu. Food was very well presented and good quality. Service was the terrible part of our dinner....Waiter not helpful at all with questions from menu and not well informed about daily specials....
Overall, the food was delicious, but my friend’s wagyu hangar steak had about a 1/3 of it that she could not chew. The sauce that came with it was delicious but the fries were not crispy enough. The coq au vin was delicious, as was the cheese puffs and the chocolate soufflé. Overall, a great birthday/anniversary celebration
The duck confit was delicious. The lamb burger wasn't as good.
The food was outstanding, and the service was the best that I have had in a very long time. The owner came out and talked with us about the dishes we ordered and we were served a complimentary dessert. Wonderful.
We intentionally made reservations at Maison Pucha Bistro tonight when we realized they are closed tomorrow. It was our favorite dinner of all the Houston Restaurant Weeks participating restaurants. It exceeded our expectations. Special thanks to James, the Maitre De, who went out of his way to make sure each course was perfect.
Service was impeccable. Loved the waiter. The food was wonderful. The presentation was outstanding. Will definitely be back.
Good experience. The food was undersalted but otherwise pretty good. I wish I had ordered the eggs Benedict instead of the steak and eggs. Loved the vegetable terrine and the souffle for dessert.
I’d read mixed reviews about Maison Pucha and wanted to experience for myself. Our group of 4 had a brunch reservation at 11am. Two of us arrived on time and were promptly seated, with the others arriving very shortly after. We’d been seated about 10-15 minutes before our server approached the table to greet us or take a drink order. The restaurant was not full at that time yet, with few tables occupied. Our server didn’t come across as welcoming - he wasn’t rude but definitely not personable. I realize it was the last weekend of HRW and the servers were exhausted by then but it doesn’t take much to be friendly, especially if you’re in the restaurant biz. Our drinks were delivered and it was another 10-15 minutes before our server returned to take our orders. No suggested entrees or asking us if we had any questions. It was a rather abrupt, ‘OK, have you decided ladies?’ The first courses and entrees were delivered without any issue. The food was good, solid but nothing that I’d rave over. I don’t recall if our server came by the table to check on us. Surely he did, but his lack of interaction with us leaves me not recalling this. Dessert took longer than usual and we had to flag our server down to check. I usually like to order a drink with my dessert and did not this time. We just wanted to be done. I’m on the fence about returning to give this restaurant and staff another chance.
Great food but disappointing service.
Went for Restaurant Weeks brunch menu and everything we ordered was fantastic! Beautiful presentation and delicious flavor combinations.
The food and service was excellent - we had the house special Ecuador chocolate souffle, which was excellent.
Delicious fine French cuisine. Will definitely be back.
We had a very good experience. We tried the Restaurant week menu and everything was delicious and very well presented. I really recommend it.
