Maison Parisienne - French Café Ratings and Reviews
Maison Parisienne is a fantastic little gem that I found in Lakeview. Delicious quiche, salad, French onion soup, croque monseur, eclairs, and tarts. Also, the place has fabulous staff and ambience. My boyfriend and I could not get enough. We will be back again and again. I can’t wait to go again and try more of their delicious food.
This is our 4th time here for Brunch. Usually we go when they first open so it is super quiet. This time we went closer to noon and the place was packed so thanks for being on opentable! Seating is limited as the location isn't huge so if you have more than a couple people plan ahead.
The food is great. Until these guys showed up we had to truck down to La Fournette to get an outstanding Pan Au Chocolat. Their french roots show in the ease of the pace of the meal which is refreshing in the mob chicago brunch scene.
The quiche and tarts are made ahead and warmed up on demand. My only critique would be to heat them a bit more so they come out hot hot and not just warm-ish. I'm sure there is a trick in getting that just right w/o having the slice loose cohesion -- but its still tasty and keep coming back.
We sometimes grab a fresh baguette for later.
Don't come here if you are a person looking for quantity over quality for the price. This isn't cheap eats.
This is a delightful, friendly French cafe and bakery serving authentic French food - breads and croissants are made from flour and butter imported from France - My friend and I had the quiche and raspberry tart - the quiches were delicious and texture was almost like a custard - tart was also delicious - very fresh raspberries - this will be a go to brunch place for us
A delightful little French Cafe. A small, but perfect menu for breakfast and lunch.
Really wonderful pastry, croissants, baguettes quiche, sandwiches and salads.
They have a nice outdoor patio. A lovely place to eat authentic French pastry
and enjoy a quiet conversation.
Having returned from a trip to Paris, we were missing the food. We were not disappointed. The atmosphere was great, absolutely everyone working at the restaurant was kind, funny and interactive with us. We went for brunch. The food was really good! It was like being back in one of the bistros in France.
This place was so cute! I felt like I was sitting in a café in the middle of Paris. The pastries were amazing, the quiche was amazing, the coffee was outstanding. It's this quiet little coffee place that you would not expect to find in this neighborhood - i recommend it for breakfast, brunch or lunch. I will be going back again and again.
This is a very charming cafe serving authentic French food. Their croissants and quiches (which they call tarts I believe) are to die for. They import all of their butter and flour from France. They serve Intelligentsia coffee and also have a lovely selection of teas. The staff are friendly and helpful.
This cafe is so charming! I'm biased because I live in the Lakeview neighborhood so convenience takes precedent. The owners are from France so it doesn't gets more authentic. I've popped in for their macaroons, eclairs, flourless chocolate cake (they call it something else), etc. I've sampled it all and this cafe has always exceeded my expectations. I met a friend there for brunch on a Saturday, too, and they serve you copious food so pace yourself.
If you'e there on a weekend and they've sold out of their chocolate macaroons, you can blame me. Oh, they recently opened their outdoor patio. Lovely!
