About Maison - Lancaster
In its most simple form, we are in the business of feeding people.
A business that we love and take a great deal of pride in and
an act at the core of what it is to be human.
To us, there is nothing more satisfying than inviting you: our friends, family, farmers and neighbors into our home, nourishing you with soul satisfying food and allowing you to escape the rigors of daily life… if only for a short time.
We believe that passion, hard work and love all fall into the same category.
We have taken the dichotomy of ‘work life’ and ‘real life’ and distilled them into one—we live above the restaurant. The people we know and love are all around us, we share our home with them and couldn’t be happier about it.

Maison - Lancaster Ratings and Reviews
One of the best restaurants in Lancaster, food is always fresh and creative farm to table. Very small kitchen limits what they can do and results in a lot of pre-prepped food, like roasts. However, the the cuisine changes daily and is always excellent. Service is casual but knowledgeable and ambiance, if noisy, feels like a dinner party. It is BYOB bug there is no corkage charge. Highly recommended.
My husband and I went there for a nice date night before some Christmas shopping. We were able to take our own bottle of wine and enjoyed an amazing three course dinner. We were both EXTREMELY impressed by the portion sizes and how delicious the food was. I am so glad we tried it and will be returning very very soon!
Perfect to celebrate my wife’s birthday. A bit noisy but it adds to the experience. The service was wonderful. Seating was a bit close with small-ish tables but managed well by our server. The food was excellent and prepared in a unique blend that was very tasty and enjoyable. Sooo many flavors. Our only regret is that we waited so long to eat there!!!
This was such an amazing experience. My bf and I went to try out restaurants we have never been to. The menu is on the wall but they suggest taking a photo so you could see better. We decided to just try different dishes such as:
Foie Gras Mousse
Goat Cheese.Pear.Bacon Tartine
We loved everything but the Foie Gras which they ended up taking off the bill since we didn’t like and ended up getting a dessert.
The whole experience was relaxing and it was nice to have the waiters really know about the meals. My bf was impressed because he has never been to a nice restaurant and I was just happy because the whole experience thru and thru was excellent. We will definitely be going back.
We loved Maison! It's a small, intimate, peaceful space. The food was excellent and service top notch. It's BYOB for those who like that option. The menu is not extensive, but enough choices, and is written on a blackboard on the wall! We highly recommend this restaurant and would love to return to sample more from their menu.
Maison never disappoints. The food is always unique, interesting and delicious, both appetizers and entrees. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly. It is a favorite and a place we love. The deviled eggs, the pear salad and racheleta were outstanding. The scallops over Brussel sprouts and the roast pork, pork sausage over mashed potatoes with a mustard gravy were amazing. The chocolate pot de cream was a perfect ending to a lovely dinner.
Our experience at Maison was absolutely, off the charts, amazing! We were greeted by a great host/waiter and sat immediately (we had a reservation). We love that the entire wait staff did all different duties and had more of a communal way of taking care of their guests. Loved the menu on the wall and the ambiance. and OF COURSE the best was the FOOD. great attention to detail. great portion sizes, etc.
As always the food and service was exceptional. The entrees are well crafted and absolutely delicious. The staff is very attentive and always ready to answer questions. If you bring wines ask the chef to taste them and recommend the appropriate dish. You will not be disappointed. This is a Michelin Star restaurant.
The interesting menu drew us to the restaurant. It was hard to decide what to order because everything sounded delicious. The chef prepared a vegetarian meal for me that was absolutely amazing. The presentation of the food was beautiful. I’ve already decided this is a “must return to” restaurant. And last but not least, the staff was friendly and very informative. Bottom line, a great evening!!!
This was our first visit to Maison. A friend who lives in Lancaster recommended the restaurant, which exceeded our high expectations. The food was excellent, and the desserts were incredible! The service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was quiet and convivial.
I've never had a bad meal at Maison. They have unique dishes and a rotating menu of local ingredients. I often take out of town guests there and they are consistently blown away by the food. Christian takes great care of us with recommendations and service. Highly recommend for foodies. It is BYOB which helps keep the cost reasonable for an evening out.
I had heard a lot about Maison before my visit, and it definitely lived up to expectations. The space, although tiny, never felt cramped. The restaurant has a big city vibe, but also has a touch of Lancaster in the decor and food itself. My table shared two appetizers: foie gras with preserved strawberry jam and then shrimp & corn fritters. Both were amazing! For my entree, I had duck with a peach sauce and roasted reaches and cherry tomatoes. It was so full of flavor! And for dessert, we shared a chocolate mousse, which was like a whipped up brownie. Our server even added a small birthday candle since we were there to celebrate a birthday in the group. So, overall, everything tasted amazing, the food was presented well, and our service was impeccable. I would go back to Maison in a heartbeat. Even with such a tiny menu, I wanted to try just about everything on it.
We arrived at Maison for an 8:45pm reservation and were seated right away. The atmosphere is very cozy and you can see the cooks working from the small open kitchen in the back. I can't say enough great things about the service, as the three (3) waiters that circled the room were very attentive to every table. I understand the menu changes often, but I'd highly recommend the lamb crepes and the duck entree if available. I'd say the duck was probably one of the best I've ever had. Great restaurant, and will be back!
I'd been hearing about this place for so long, and I was so excited to try it. It exceeded my expectations. The food is incredible, the servers were so attentive and helpful, the atmosphere was great. It's definitely for a night you want a fancy, more expensive meal, but it's absolutely worth the price.
