Recently moved to area and am trying to hit a lot of the good restaurants in the area. Took the metro here after work for a dinner by myself at the bar. The bartender was great, but the food was lacking. I started with the grilled octopus ($21) that was quite good but the potatoes it came with were barely cooked. Ordered the duck ($31) which was great, but portion was a little small and the rice tasted like instant rice. I’ve had duck at similar price points that were much more filling and had better complimentary sides. Also there was something lacking of an ambiance which I was disappointed with. Overall the staff was kind and helpful, but the food left little to write home about.

Uncrowded on a Tuesday evening. Our server, Riley, was personable and efficient. The food was a rare case of not being disappointed in a single thing. We got Squash blossoms and deviled eggs to start, and the duck and a Wagyu burger as mains. Each bite was a sumptous treat. Desserts are another instance where it is so easy to be disappointed. The descriptions are often much more appealing than what is actually produced. We went for the heavy chocolate and were completely satisfied. The wine list is basic, but there are more than adequate selections to have an enjoyable glass with the meal. We did not have cocktails, but that gives us something to look forward to on our next visit.

Maison Cheryl was incredible. We shared a few small plates (salads, brussels, shrimp tempura). It was delicious! The mains that were ordered by the group were well loved and finished! I had the sea bass and curry. It was unbelievable. The salmon, ratatouille, steak frites and duck were also devoured! 10/10 would recommend again!!

It was Saturday and they have brunch menu only which is not impressive. In overall, the food was ok, nothing special. Nothing in common with French menu as we expected going to French restaurant. It was disappointing. The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful.

Food and atmosphere are a cut above most places in the Clarendon community of Arlington….The area has a plethora of fun dining (a lot of choices for a small community), however the upscale vibe is a pleasure The food is a wonderful creation of tastes, visuals and presentations. Every dish is cooked with attention to detail The place is clean and pride of ownership is evident. Light fixtures might be ready for a fresh cleaning, but this critique is simply to convey there’s always room for improvement. My wife and I love it

Good food and good service. I had pasta and my husband had duck. Both serving so large we had to take half home in boxes. It was a little noisy, all hard surfaces, but that was a minor problem.

We werden binnen 51 minuten met een voor en hoofdgerecht naar buiten gestuurd. Voordat het hoofdgerecht werd uitgehaald gaven ze al de rekening. Nog nooit zo iets meegemaakt advies nooit doen. Gerechten en ingrediënten totaal niet op elkaar afgestemd. Ganzenlever 33 dollar klein stukje met perzik uit blik .

This place was quaint and vibrant, with tons of natural lighting. The food was good, but could use some vegan high protein options. The drink menu was equally good, but I expected some craft coffee drinks or non-alcoholic options as well, but was disappointed. I would definitely come back.

I came here on a blind date and sat at the bar. The bartender Ben was very attentive after I told him I was on a blind date. I ordered the baked Brie to start and a Sibling rivalry as a drink. My date never showed up but that’s ok because the atmosphere of the bar was so soothing. Before I left I ordered a main dish of truffle honey chicken that was cooked to perfection. I will definitely be back hopefully with a date that won’t stand me up

Our lunch at the Maison Cheryl was fabulous from start to finish. Service was exceptional and food and drink are worthy of the hype. The salmon and Madeleine were exceptional.

We tried Maison Cheryl, looking for a new experience, and we were utterly disappointed. The restaurant is adequately staffed, but this didn't prevent our food to arrive one hour after we were seated. The restaurant advertised $7 Champagne glasses to commemorate Bastille Day. It turned out to be sparkling wine from Touraine. If not illegal, this is deceiving. Food quality was unequal. One of us ordered a Wagyu burger but was not able to make a difference with a regular burger. Duck was also unequally cooked, with some parts perfectly done and others raw. The foie gras was overpriced and tasteless, bathing in some sauce that didn't keep the bread it came with crispy. For a French restaurant, wine selection was also undermining. Only generic wines (Burgundy, Bordeaux) were offered rather than more distinctive appellations (Pommard, Saint Emilion, etc.) We were looking for another place to go. We won't come back.

This is self-described as a "French New-American Bistro" but there is very little French happening here. The menu had more Italian and Mexican inspired dishes than French. No baguette?? The food was good but nothing remarkable. Service was very friendly, but very slow. No need for me to return.

This was my first time there and I was very impressed. The summer salad was very tasty and not overpowering. The salmon was great and couldn't believe the size of a portion. Very good definitely will have to come back again.

We dined with Maison Cheryl on a quiet Wednesday night. We ordered 5 small plates in addition to one entree. We were dumbfounded that the restaurant wasn’t busier. Each dish was fantastic! Our server was excellent as well. Two small negatives. The service was a bit slow considering how uncrowded the restaurant was; and the wine list was pretty limited. Eight reds on the list, and three were Pinot based, and two or three were Cabernet based. We did find a lovely Rhône blend that worked quite well with our diverse order. Let me be clear, we enjoyed our meals a great deal, and will return (with friends) our next trip to the area!
