About Maison Boulud
Maison Boulud Montréal offers the cuisine of a chef steeped in French tradition, yet inspired by decades spent cooking in New York City.
Daniel Boulud's menu is driven by the seasons and bounty of Québec's local purveyors. The result: refined yet soulful contemporary French food, prepared here by Executive Chef Riccardo Bertolino.
While situated in the Ritz-Carlton Montreal, the restaurant, its bar & lounge and two private dining rooms have a vibrant identity all their own. Maison Boulud enjoys a view over the historic hotel garden and year round glass enclosed winter garden. Daniel Boulud's welcoming spirit, the casually elegant tone and glimpses of a partly open kitchen keep the focus on the cuisine, making this a daily gathering place for wonderful food.

Maison Boulud Ratings and Reviews
Excellent, attentive servers. Food was equal to any of the many Michelin starred restaurants I have eaten at in past. When my wife didn’t care for the Chablis by the glass we ordered they opened a bottle of wine that was only available by the bottle and poured her a glass. Friendly and courteous. A great dining experience.
Came here with a friend for an early breakfast on our trip. The food was fantastic, though felt just a tad overpriced. But that's what you're getting with the Ritz's ambiance and class. On the other hand the service was ok, and despite a not-so-full dining room, I felt as if we could have received better attention from the waiters. The menu is well tailored and has plenty of options while not being excessive, and if that doesn't suit your fancy there is always the buffet. Overall, I'd highly recommend a meal here.
Boulud Montreal is at par with the bests in its class. Within the Boulud Family, such as the Boulud NYC restaurant, Boulud Montreal represents a warmer, more welcoming setting, while the dishes at NYC would be slightly more sophisticated in comparaison. We were sitting nearby the fireplace, which was a nice touch, as the outside temperature was really cold that night...we appreciate! The cocktails were outstanding, White Negroni for one. Special thank you to the sommelière on duty, who provided the exact compatible food pairing despite our varied meal selection...a tour de force...kudos! Service was warn and attention...just a pleasureable outing really!
Cheers to the staff & a Happy New Year!
almost 4 hours for a brunch service for 6 people!!! the +38$ for truffle eggs were served cold to both people who ordered them, we waited over an hour in between services!! had to ask for water, no coffee refils were offered and total bill over 700$ i don't mind paying but NOT for cold food and an entire wasted afternoon on my son's 18th birthday
The staff, specially the wine master, were respectfully friendly and knowledgeable. However, I thought that the amazing wine list was too sophisticated for the food offered (however much we enjoyed it as it was perfectly cooked and presented. My wife had the Loup de mer and I had the pintade. Both marvelous dishes). I would have liked to see more than a couple of bottles between $50.00 and $75.00. The choice of wine by the glass was more than adequate.
We will, definitely, dine there next time we are in Montreal.
Not our first time at Maison Boulud for a special occasion. About a couple of years ago, the quality of the meals would be slightly uneven, from one evening to another. Lately however, they seem to outdo themselves on each occasion. This time it was for my son's 20th birthday. Wanted this evening to be great! Entrées, main course, dessert, wine suggestion - Everything was spot on. Black Cod, St Pierre and Lamb were all prepared and cooked to perfection.
Service was very attentive without being obtrusive. As soon as we mentioned that one of our guests was gluten intolerant, they did ALL that was possible to accommodate and make her feel at ease.
A perfect evening ! Bravo to all the staff.
It is always excellent but this time they excelled themselves. The Menu Decouverte must be the best value in town. The pigonneau with foie gras was deliciously decadent and the chocolat coulant a heavenly finish to the meal. As usual the sommeliere recommendation was a perfect accompaniment despite us having completely different choices. Bravo!
What a great experience from start to finish. Appetizer was in-house sardines with a mixture of vegetables on brown bread. It was a juxtaposition of textures and flavours. Mains were lobster with gnocchi and curry halibut. The two mains were simply amazing. The flavours exploded in your mouth. The halibut was so perfectly cooked it melted in your mouth. The wine sommelier made a great recommendation of a Loire wine to go with the food. The service was outstanding. The sommelier in particular was so friendly and helpful. The after-dinner treats were a perfect ending to a great meal. We can't wait to go back.
This was a spur-of-the-moment decision. We were on a business trip in Montreal and after a rather successful day, we wanted to splurge a bit. And splurging we did! We went for the 7-course surprise dinner and it was spectacular. The food was imaginative, portions were just right, the taste was indescribably good and the pace of the different courses was excellently spaced. For myself, I also had the Cosmo (with a flower frozen in a round ice cube) and it was very delicious. All in all, it was an experience well worth the amount of money spent.
Three of us met for an evening with meal. We were given a corner table, excellent service and allowed to talk, eat, and enjoy ourselves over 3.5 hours. Wine selection is good if a touch on the expensive side, the food is excellent and again a bit expensive. Service was superb. Well worth a visit.
Superb experience. Food was incredible, with perfect service for a great moment. Nothing to complain, just A1 comments to provide to everyone that wishes to have a great food adventure. Their wine/alcohol pairings were so accurate and original. I absolutely recommend it to everyone that can afford this kind of bill though, which is expensive but worth it. Don't miss the tasting menu !
