Daniel Boulud menu is driven by the seasons and bounty of Québec local purveyors. The result: refined yet soulful contemporary French food, prepared here by Executive Chef Riccardo Bertolino.
Maison Boulud enjoys a view over the historic hotel garden and year round glass enclosed winter garden. Daniel Boulud welcoming spirit, the casually elegant tone and glimpses of a partly open kitchen keep the focus on the cuisine, making this a daily gathering place for wonderful food.

I have to say im very mitigated while writing this review.
We took the 8 service with the pairing to have the complete experience of what Maison Boulud has to offer.
First of all, the pairing was absolutely delightful. The timing of service between wine and food was off. Kitchen had a hard time to have a proper pace.
Also, few of the serving did not create any emotions as expected. First course was ''couteau de mer''. It was good, but nothing you expect when you walk out with a bill over 700$ for two. Same goes for the fish, we were serve a raw fish dish, was good but once again, nothing memorable.
The lobster gnocci and the veal we're absolutely amazing but we were expecting a mind blowing pace for the whole meal.
I have to say that the experience was absolutely comparable to what you get at the ITHQ restaurant for much cheaper.
It was imperfect with a few service flaws. This restaurant need to step up their games when you are spending this kind of money.
Great food and excellent service! Our server was friendly and polite! Thank you so much! 🤤🤤🤤👍👍👍🍳🍳🍳
Slow service. Food served not hot enough. Service average. Taste average. Boulud does not live up to its name. More like a ordinary cafe place. A disappointment if you thought it was a fine dining.
Parfait, rien à dire
On reviendra pour une autre occasion
Beautiful environment and absolutely amazing brunch, particularly the scrambled eggs and baked beans!
Very dissatisfied with the food. Everything was either cold or Luke-warm. The bread was all stale, croissants too. If I didn’t know better, I would think it was a joke or a social experiment to see how people react to $50 buffet with less than 8 offerings and all cold. Top it off with the staff too busy to pour a coffee for over 5 mins. Shame on the manager for allowing the chef to embarrass the hotel in this way.
We had a lovely time, the food was fabulous and the service outstanding.
Loved it !!!!!
The scaffolding outside is awful but the rest perfect.
Underwhelming brunch, only 4 or so options if you aren’t doing the buffet. $33 for a kir royal LOL.
Everything was fantastic.
4 th time at restaurant in 3 years.
Experience was not as good as previOus times.
Their beef is super good.
I thought this restaurant was so overrated. Yes it's beautiful, it's the Ritz. But charging 33$ for 5 tiny ravioli that were good, but not great is ridiculous. Ant it was a main course! 19$ for half a cup of soup? 21$ for the tiniest beet salad I've ever seen? Just because food is expensive doesn't mean it's worth it. The flavours were nice, but again nothing that blew me away. It's expensive just to be expensive, it felt very elitist to me. I wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend. Go for a cocktail to enjoy the space.
We had a great experience and the group of four enjoyed the seasonal mushroom menu. Staff was accommodating to dietary restrictions and sommelier was helpful with wine recommendations.
Totally subpar experience from the poorly prepared and cooked octopus appetizer to the slimy fish entree to the super slow service. Just avoid. The restaurant obviously relies upon their name and location; food takes a backseat. I even spoke with management who was unhelpful, less than understanding and lacking in any proactive treatment. There are numerous options far superior in all regards
Visiting Montreal from out of town. What a special place! The food was remarkable, and the ambiance just lovely. Service top of the line!
Excellent food. Best oysters and capers salad ever. Delicious eggplant caponata accompanying seared tuna. Would definitely return if we got back to Montreal.
Service very slow. You have to track down the staff yourself. Food was good, but not worth the price point
The place is very nice but the food is over priced and not really good enough to warrant that kind of price.
Mediocre overall spotty service
We went for the Italian experience on a Sunday night. Chef Riccardo Bertolino's roots from Bologna appeared on every plate. It was amazing and the service top notch. Thank-you to the wonderful team.
We had the 8 course chef's tasting menu. The food and the service was excellent. Everything was expertly prepared amd delicious.
Amazing food, service, and ambience.
As close to a perfect experience as I’ve ever had.
Food and Service were excellent. Atmosphere felt very “corporate” and not at all intimate.
Not my first visit, nor my first review. Will definitely recommend and come back time and time again.
Impeccable service, à beautiful setting with a warm modern touch topped with excellent food well presented.
Outstanding service and food
Perfect meal outdoors in beautiful garden with thoughtful service.Especially enjoyed the hiramasa and skate.
Anniversaire de mariage
Merci à toute l’équipe pour l’excellente expérience et service.. un petit merci particulier à Mario, une legendre de l’établissement..
Au plaisir d’y retourner,
Excellent service, excellent food, beautiful dining room, very romantic atmosphere!
We have here 3 times in a week while we’re visiting Montreal. Food is great service is amazing. Also bartender Olivie is best. He took good care of us and give bunch of recommendations. Good job Ritz.
There was a problem in the kitchen when we were there. We had to wait an hour between our first and second course (brunch). There were no explanations (except that there was a problem in the kitchen, and that lots of guests arrived late (we did not) ) nor apologies until after I expressed my concern over how long it was taking. When our meal finally did come (we were 7) three ravioli servings were lukewarm This was not up to the standard I know of this restaurant. And there were no real attempts to make things right after the long wait.
