The food was exceptional, the service was gracious, and the ambience was understated elegance. We were there on a weeknight when it was not crowded, but the dining areas have a feeling of spaciousness instead of tables squeezed together. The noise was muted and conversation did not necessitate straining. This is a special occasion place, but most enjoyable. We will be back.
Consistently good. We always enjoy dining at Maison Akira.
Authentic and modern French cuisine, i.e. lighter, slightly "fusion" more than traditional French, impeccable taste and presentation in elegant atmosphere with wonderful staff, great waiters and manager -Alex is particularly excellent.
Expensive of course, but its elegance and perfect cuisine make the cost worthwhile
Very memorable dining experience. Thank you! Sea bass was so tender and the Bento box full of delight. Dessert alone (baked Alaska) was worth the trip.
Everything about this place was perfect. The food choices are varied enough that we want to go back. My husband had the four course prix fixed menu and I had a starter and entree. The food was amazing and plentiful. Our waitress had a French accent and was able to help us pick a wine that went with both our meals. The service was the right amount of checking in and clearing without being annoying. The decor and seating was fancy, but cozy and welcoming.
It was exceptional. Service and quality of food. The manager Christine was amazingly nice and generous. I’m looking forward to visiting again
We went to Maison Akira for our 24th anniversaries. Their services were very polite and all of foods tasted great! Thanks chef!!
Great food. Great service. One of the places to eat in Pasadena.
Extremely bad service
And mediocre food
The Chef should not brag having worked with Joel Robuchon
Or claim that if not well done the leg of Lamb is to hard !
And one other negative the toilets hygiene is B-
Didn't care for the buffet which was our only option despite what was noted on the website. Food was cold and beef was full of fat. Not appetizing
French with an Asian flair everything was wonderful!
Visited Maison Akira for DineLA. The set menu was very good, but the service we received left much to desired. At one point I poured my own glass of water from a nearby pitcher. Took half an hour to have our order taken. Additionally, we were sat in a stuffing dining room complete with toddlers and babies dining at nearby tables. We promptly asked to be moved.
Won't be back.
The food was delicious and the ambiance was exquisite! Andrew was our server and he made sure my Mom’s 75th Birthday dinner was special. Gustavo also helped us a lot last night and he was very kind and patient with us.
Wonderful every time!
Very disappointing. Food was average quality. Service was slow and well below expectations. Overpriced for what you get.
