Food was good, some portions were small. Very noisy, and a bit pricey
It was extremely noisy and that made it very unpleasant, to have to shout to have a conversation. I thought the service was excellent. I don’t know if I would go back for dinner, I would want to go at a time when it wasn’t so noisy. Also, having a 1 person bathroom was certainly not convenient. Our waitress was exceptional.
Very nice menu, great wine selection for all wines.
Love this place
We love this place! The food is always spectacular, the drinks are excellent, and the service is always friendly, accommodating and attentive. It was a great evening!
Terrific homemade Italian meal! Angela, our server was honest and fun!
Service was great food was meh. Pasta was too aldente - ravioli super salty - chicken parm was average at best
Duke and his staff are wonderful and very accommodating. Cant wait to go back. Thanks Maria fir such great service as always
Never disappointed, love the food and the ambience. Owners are super down to earth and more than accommodating.
Excellent food and service. Ate in the patio tent which was warm and inviting when it was about 36° outside. It was a little loud. Not sure that’s their fault though!
Great food!!!!!! Noise level was insane!!
Duke and his team are a well oiled machine! Food was fantastic and service brilliant. Drinks made to perfection by Colie!
Staff was awesome and food was delicious.
We love Main Street Social. The food was great, especially the soup specials.
Great early afternoon lunch on a nice sunny Sunday in November. Great wine list great service great food enjoyed NY both my wife and I
Brunch was great!
It was our first time and we were very surprised by the VERY loud crowd in the bar that night. The waiters and waitresses were very nice and apologetic so we ended up sitting outside. A little cold since we didn’t plan on that, but they brought over heaters and the fireplace was going so it was warm enough.
Duck wings and octopus appetizers were great but I think the pasta dishes weren’t anything fabulous, but still good. We were too full for dessert. Would go again and hopefully not so busy snd loud.
Love the food and the friendly staff at Main Street Social. The bar gets super crowded and noisy by about 6:30
We have dined there a number of times~ Always delicious with generous servings! Fun, city vibe in the suburbs! I would say the only negative is that it can be a bit loud sometimes for conversation.
Food was great! My wife had French Onion soup and a salad. I had their Cauliflower mash with a salad.
We LOVED Main Street Social, and will definitely plan on returning! We went for our 30th wedding anniversary. The service was awesome(thank you Colette for helping make the night special!). The food was delightful with unique touches and just beautifully prepared. We both said we would recommend our dishes so we advise that you try the short ribs and the pork chop, and the crispy Brussels sprout salad.
The place is a little noisy, but in the end that really didn’t bother us that much. I only bring it up in case you are looking for a quiet dark and intimate atmosphere.
It is obvious that the pandemic has driven many Libertyville restaurants out of business. But it feels like there is a new energy returning to the area. We need to support businesses like Main Street Social, it is a jewel that needs to be appreciated. GO!
Food was awful. Went for brunch left with a bad taste and experience. Will never return.
The food was tasty but very small portions, especially for the price. The food came out fast and hot. The table next to us was a bit loud, but once they left it was a nice experience.
Outstanding food. Collette was our server and she was incredible. The restaurant went above and beyond.
Fun and friendly atmosphere for all. Great drinks and food. We live down state, but love to come here when in town.
The food was amazing! Burrata and lobster capellini were out of this world!!! Bartender was very cool and treated us like family! ❤️
The shrimp and polenta appetizer was awesome
Sat at a high top in the bar by the hallway to the dining room with a view of the closet. Waitress (Maria) was attentive, friendly and gave us pretty perfect service. Of the food she recommeded, my halibut was excellent, the mussels in the seafood dish were pretty fishy but the rest was good. My husband never complains about anything. Will be coming back.
Very delicious meals we had and a very friendly staff.
Incredibly special evening on the patio celebrating a birthday. Great service, fabulous food and wine. Great planning by Duke…our go to place just keeps getting better! Thanks!!!
We didn't realize that there was a Sunday Brunch menu when we booked our meal, so there were things that we were hoping to try that weren't offered. The menu was pretty limited. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable and he made sure to confirm what was safe or not for my allergies, but there were too many staff members walking around with masks on their chins for my comfort. The bar area started to get a little noisy as we were finishing up, but very reasonably so because the Bears game was just getting underway. The food tasted good while we were eating, but at least 2 of us felt it sit like lead in our guts for the rest of the day. It may be because we didn't have many healthy options and we're not really used to eating that kind of food much any more. If I were to recommend the restaurant, it would probably be for watching a game and enjoying beverages more than having a meal.
Food was delicious service great!! French onion soup was amazing, oysters were out of this world! Each dish had uniquely delicious flavors presentation was outstanding. Beginning to end this was an amazing experience! This was our first visit here and I can’t wait to go back!!
Food came out so hot and delicious! Only critique is that on the short ribs- there was supposed to be roasted veggies and it was just two pieces of carrot and wished there was more! But the food is so good! Definitely a must try!
I had the cauliflower au gratin and pepperoni flatbread. They were excellent. I had a glass of Bright Angel Sauvignon Blanc which is an excellent wine.
Good food and great service! Was a nice spot for brunch
We were at the Sunday Brunch and there were 10 or so choices and everyone was happy with what they got.
Food was great, desert was terrible, noise extremely loud but place was packed, everyone simply excited to get out because of the times we live in.
Patio was great - well heated
Food is over-priced. $34 for skirt steak is too high.
I had the Basil Cavatelli for the first time. It was excellent. My server recommended a Bright Angel Boudeaux which was also excellent. This restaurant has great wines and food.
