interesting menu and food was very good, especially the beet salad!!
All I can say is wow! Was recommended to come to Main and Vine and surpassed all of our expectations! From the drinks, to the service, to the food to the ambiance, it was an amazing experience. This is a hidden gem on the Main line and I will be a customer for life. If you are looking for a 5 star experience, this is the place to go! You will not regret it!
It was our first time at Maine & Vine and we absolutely loved it. Made reservations for the next week end already. Thank you!
First time there and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it is inside. The bar is sleek and the food was delicious.
An absolute Pleaser for a refined palate...This dining experience was more than superb. This cool vibe dining experience offered our party delicious and fresh food options along with excellent service.
The bar is absolutely beautiful and the libations truly lifted our spirits !!
We are so impressed that we can't wait to return !!
Restaurant was nearly empty, beautifully done but I doubly they will make it. I invited a good friend to lunch for her birthday, asked for a quiet table, easy to do.
Music was too loud as usual.
We both ordered the crab roll, it came with chips & the crap was on a brioche made by them. $18....a minuscule amount of crab..I let them know & they said it was the 2nd week of lunch being served..brought us more crab, generous amount which was lovely.
The crab itself was not liked that much by either of us, an odd taste. Chips were great!..my friend thought it was just so so, price much to high.
Less bread more crab, perhaps a small salad on the side.
We won’t be back.
Went to dinner here for my birthday and definitely did not disappoint. Food, drinks and service was phenomenal! So happy with this choice... I’ll be going back for sure!
What most people look for in a place they love to dine is consistency- and I can say we have consistently had an amazing dining experience from start to finish each time we come in! We always are treated like VIPs at Main & Vine from the warm greeting at the door from the hostesses and the owner himself, to the top knotch swarm service we get throughout the entire meal. Our server, Emily, was fantastic. She was warm and friendly while at the same time very professional and anticipating our every need before we needed to ask for anything. We appreciated that a couple of servers and the GM stopped over to our table also to bring us more cocktails or water throughout the night. They don’t skip a beat on service. We enjoyed delicious cocktails from the bar, ice cold beer, shared the Salumi pizza and Mushroom Pizzas to start (to die for as usual) For our entrees I had the Flat Iron Steak (for the 5th time- again consistency!) my husband had the Halibut special which he loved, and our friends had the Steak Frites (we are still talking about the garlic fries) and the Burger. Also- word to the wise- get the Crab Mashed Potatoes. It’s a buttery, creamy heavenly dish with fresh crab and sprinkled chives. We had to have dessert of course. The churros were the perfect mix of warm, chewy and crunchy with chocolate and caramel sauces for dipping and the flourless chocolate cake was decadent. They also serve fresh La Colombe coffee which is my favorite. We came early and as our meal came to an end the place was packed with people, the music and the vibe perfect for the place to be on a Saturday night. We love love love this place and can’t wait to go back again soon.
The review is supposed to be 50 words but I only have one - PERFECTION!
Great service, food, and atmosphere. I will definitely be back again.
Attractive place, very good food, fine service.
Pretty space. Halibut tacos not exceptional but good. Very nice service. Will return and try other food items. And big, very inviting bar!
service was outstanding. Menu had something for everyone and everything was fresh, crispy and seasoned just right.
Reminds me of Northern California ; decor is hip/chic
First time visit; fine meal; one negative- entrees came before appetizers were cleared- finished but not cleared. And then we were asked if we wanted a 2nd drink or glass of wine, but they didn’t come until 1/2 the entree was eaten.
Fried oysters were excellent; service very friendly; salmon, mushroom soup, trout and old-fashion were very good.
The location was great even though there was a lot of construction going on. Really liked the menu choices, however would like to see a couple of gluten free options added to the menu - specifically bread for the sandwiches. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable and give him 5 stars.
An advantage was that M&V could take a party of six. But it's an acoustically loud space, so hearing each other talk was difficult.
The food was generally good, although I didn't care for the mignonette with the oysters - a ittle syrupy, not much character. Lemon was fine and the oysters were good. There was a complaint about the salmon from one guest: the taste was too much dominated by the oil it came with.
A 70-dollar bottle of wine was indifferent.
I enjoyed my first time to this new restaurant. The ambiance is very nice, the service was excellent, and the food was good overall. My caesar salad was delicious, but my steak was lukewarm and I did not care for the deep fried whipped avocado. The menu did not explain that the avocado was deep fried. I would try it again, but maybe go to the bar next time for lighter bites. I thought it was a little overpriced, especially the wine -- the pours were low (did not warrant the cost). Two glasses of wine cost as much as the meal. Wine prices (by the glass) are getting out of hand.
Gluten free options are not identified but the waitress was knowledgeable about the food and knew what I could and could not eat.
Disappointing! I was looking forward to trying Main & Vine. While nothing was wrong it was not a home run. Food was average. I felt like I was dining in a dressed up airplane hangar. Very sterile decor. The decibel level was unbearable. Conversation was almost impossible. Not worth a second shot. While the wine list was good, it's very pricey. We spend $20 a glass on a wine that retails for $22.99 a bottle. I realize that wines have a huge markup, but that's a little too crazy.
Atmosphere was great... food was Ok and wine list could use a boost..:
Loved the food, staff was very good. Noise was a bit much for a comfortable conversation. Would go back for the food.
Excellent dinner and service.
Excellent service and atmosphere. Food was just ok. I ordered the beet salad and it was pretty good. Also ordered muscles in a spicy Thai red sauce. The muscles were extremely small and the sauce was not great. Too salty and I didn’t care for the flavor. My friend ordered the trout and loved it.
I wish I shared her enthusiasm.
I didn’t mind paying $6.00 for the bread it was delicious and I like that it was served with ricotta cheese & olives. Although we did not order the pizzas they looked very good. I will go back and give it another try.
Just an evening out with my husband. The fried oysters were delicious. A must have. Our waiter was very attentive, as was the rest of the service staff even though the restaurant was very busy. I will definitely go back again and bring friends.
Experience and food were good, help was excellent. Only blemish was that our vegetarian dining partner was mistakenly given bacon in her salad, despite requesting otherwise.
In the opened up, hip renovated space of the once Avenue Kitchen the atmosphere is loud and bright; unfortunately, it is hard for even the waiter to hear clearly an order, despite how pleasantly and efficiently the customer is served. Food is fresh, but the dishes are not necessarily unique or tasty enough to warrant the higher tab.
So loud I couldn't talk to my wife across the table. And I was shocked when I found that if I wanted bread, I would need to pay for it!
Very good food and drinks. Noisy, loud music on a Saturday night. Watch the wine prices (my wife ordered a chardonnay from the waiter without consulting the menu..$22/glass)
Food is always great. I love that you will add a protein to a salad. Service is good and friendly!
The food is OK, but pricy. Unfortunately, this place is just another mediocre suburban restaurant. It is off the beaten path and likely to be another failure in a long line of failures at this location.
Second time there , very enjoyable and the food was really quite good. Our server was wonderful, professional, accommodating and plain nice. Love their creative cracker thin pizza crust with awesome combos. Drinks were good as well. Lovely menu with some creative and delicious items.
Main and Vine is our new go to place. Everything is outstanding from the Cocktails, to the Northern CA Wine List to the Food. The service is always outstanding as well. Special shout out to Travis!
we were a group of seven, all of whom thoroughly enjoyed their dinner and drinks
We went for a date nite. We loved how different the menu was and the food was presented beautifully we will come back for sure!
Food was good but not great. My husband ordered the scallops and they smelled a bit “off”. The service was very attentive. The noise level in the dining room was so loud that we had trouble hearing each other speak, but knew exactly what song was pumping over the speakers. (Lower the music perhaps?)
First time visit to M&V and really enjoyed the food and service. The appetizers were excellent. Had the blue cheese, grape and honey pizza and the roasted artichokes. Both were excellent and a great start to the dinner. Dinner selections were the trout, scallops and salmon. All were very flavorful and portion size was perfect for us...we walked away pleasantly full. Would definitely go back again and again.
Awesome! Our second time was just as good. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We loved visiting our daughter at college and took her to Main & Vine for dinner- we all loved our meals! What a great place and the CA cuisine was a refreshing change!
