Food was good but not great. My husband ordered the scallops and they smelled a bit “off”. The service was very attentive. The noise level in the dining room was so loud that we had trouble hearing each other speak, but knew exactly what song was pumping over the speakers. (Lower the music perhaps?)

First time visit to M&V and really enjoyed the food and service. The appetizers were excellent. Had the blue cheese, grape and honey pizza and the roasted artichokes. Both were excellent and a great start to the dinner. Dinner selections were the trout, scallops and salmon. All were very flavorful and portion size was perfect for us...we walked away pleasantly full. Would definitely go back again and again.

We enjoyed another wonderful meal at Main and Vine. The decor is contemporary and very tasteful
The servers are excellent! Joseph and Christian are particularly helpful and efficient.
Jay, the personable owner, is constantly mingling with the guests, and he takes a hands on approach. He is a true wealth of knowledge about cooking, especially Norther California cuisine and enjoys discussing the specifics. Take the opportunity to chat with him.
The food is fabulous! We particularly love Tuesday ( fried chicken night) although many other options are available and are more in keeping with healthier dining. The fried chicken is brine soaked, with a buttermilk flavor and a perfectly crispy coating, it’s served with a very flavorful potato purée and a side salad with blue cheese.
There is also a vibrant bar with a Happy Hour and great flatbreads.
Enjoy!!!!

Had a wonderful evening at M&V this past Saturday 9/15/18. To start, our server recognized me from being there back in June, and welcomed my friends for their first visit to M&V. Our drinks were delightful and refreshing, Hanger One Lime Vodka, and a a bottle of Pinot Noir recommended by our server. Our starter appetizer was fabulous, Black Grape & Blue Cheese sourdough pizza, wow, it was awesome, highly recommend this one. Although the others are just as delicious. For dinner, the three of us split two dinners, we totally enjoyed the Ricotta Cavatelli, and the Saturday dinner special, Herb Roasted Prime Rib, it was perfectly cooked, and our side dish, Garlic Parmesan Fries, everything was so delicious. We finished up with the Banana Split Profiteroles, and at the last few sips of our fine tasting Pinot Noir.

This was my third visit to M&V, and I'll be back again and again. Service was awesome, and the restaurant was busy with many satisfied patrons. Kudos' to the chef, and cheers to Jay Stevens, GM and his wonderful team at M&V. My friends will be back too! Thank you for your kindness, Susan

First off, you are getting a reputation for having terrible hostesses. I have experienced (and I have heard on 3 separate occasions the same compliant from others) that the hostesses are interminably slow. Whether one has a reservation or not it a slow and very unorganized process to get a party from the door to their seats. I think the starters and sociables could be more imaginative. I had the crudite. The three dips were tasteless. My trout was bland. The wilted spinach was over salted. The grilled artichoke was delicious and the salmon and steak were both immensely enjoyed by the other two in my party. I loved the non alcoholic drinks. The berry basil seltzer was superb

Another phenomenal night at Main and Vine. I can’t rave enough about this restaurant. Started with my favorite drink, First Crush! So refreshing! Tried the new menu item, Pork Milanese and was made to perfection. Of course had to end the night with some churros! If ever on the Main Line, you must stop in for an amazing dining experience!

Food and service were very good to excellent, and we would happily return but the noise level in the dining area was far too loud to allow for pleasant dinner conversation. This was on a Wednesday evening, so I can't imagine the noise level on a weedend.

Seating was an issue with a reservation on a Wednesday night!! We were 2 was given a tiny low table by the front door in bar or table by bathroom. Both locations kind of sucked. It was early and they weren’t full was told by staff they had big parties coming. Not a great first experience.

Had 2 appetizers for dinner both very small but good. Left hungry.

Probably won’t go back. Not enough value or interest in menu to warrant a second time.

We wanted to try a new restaurant for my wife's birthday, so we searched and found Main and Vine. The space is nice and comfortable, although the laid-back chairs require you to lean forward to talk and eat. The service was very attentive, friendly and professional. They could probably ease off a bit with the check-ins, but I'd prefer the way it is to being ignored. The menu is fairly extensive with an interesting mix of starters, soups, salads and entrees. Wine selections were good and reasonably priced. Mixed drinks were good, but pretty expensive. We wound up ordering several small plates and skipping the entrees. We still wound up with a lot of food to take home. Everything was fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. The pacing of the meal was also good. As it was my wife's birthday, I requested a candle in her dessert on OpenTable. My experience with other restaurants has not been good, with most ignoring the request. Here, I could see the hostess read the entire note when we checked in and the server wished her a happy birthday and put a sparkler in her dessert. I expect we will be going back to Main and Vine regularly.

Every time we are in town visiting the main line, we make a point to dine at Main & Vine. Although it is a fairly new restaurant, it has quickly become a local favorite for us, having everything we look for in a restaurant. First of all, free and abundant parking is key, and the restaurant itself is beautiful. The ambience is stellar, service is always on pointe, but the real reason we keep coming back is the food!!!! Soooo good! Every dish we’ve tried has been better than the last. Tonight we enjoyed the king crab appetizer (very fresh with a side of Dijon), spicy salumi sourdough pizza (omg yum!), kale salad (crave worthy), scallops (perfectly done), and the rocky road pudding (unexpected, but we practically licked the jar to get the last bite). Excellent from start to finish, and well timed. Highly recommend checking out Main & Vine... you will leave with a happy belly. Five stars in all areas. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We have been here a few times since it opened. The ambiance is exceptional, and the service is very good. I had the salmon, which was prepared a bit differently from the last time I got it. Both times it was really good. We took our son and daughter in for the first time, and they really enjoyed it too. Both loved the ambiance and the food is creative and well prepared. Happy to have this restaurant nearby.

We visited Saturday evening of Labor Day weekend--not the best time for restaurants--but we were pleased with our visit. The restaurant was not crowded, and since our server was training another server, he tended to be overly solicitous but he was knowledgeable about the menu and helpful with the wine selections. Both my wife's salmon and my trout were very good, and perfectly prepared. The desserts were excellent. We will be back.

The food was very good starting from the appetizer thru dessert. Great selection of wine and beer. Our waitress was very nice and the overall atmosphere was enjoyable. We were seated for about 3 1/2 hours and didn't realize we were there for that long. Others came in after us and left before us. Not sure how that happened but we enjoyed our evening. Would definitely consider going back for a special occasion.

Main and Vine was a described as California casual by our waiter, so there’s that. The food was good, menu somewhat limited though, and no specials were offered. Emphasis on wine, very nice selection in different price ranges. We enjoyed the wedge salad and a half dozen oysters to start. Our entree selections were cooked perfectly, scallops and a pork chop Milanese. The restaurant filled up as we were finishing our desserts. Our server, Travis, was informative, and checked on us frequently. A manager even stopped by to see how we were doing. All in all, I’d recommend it for the food. Not much on ambience, kind of cavernous.

Great food, extensive wine list by the bottle and glass, and a notable beer selection. The food was inventive and fresh farm to table with a strong influence of Napa and Sonoma counties. The Wedge Salad was an innovative spin on the classic salad. Prime Rib special on Saturday did not disappoint. The service was attentive and paced appropriately. My only drawback is that the prices may keep this from being a regular stop for dinner otherwise this is great choice for a special occasion or date night. I would also stop for a glass of wine and an app.

As soon as we walked into Main and Vine it felt like the place the be and be seen... the amazing decor was only topped by a culinary experience that is hard to find on the main line. We started with the chicken fried oysters, the breading was light and crispy - perfection! My husband and I split the mussels which were served in a spicy sauce that was so flavorful I was tempted to bring the bowl to my lips and drink it down if I wasn’t already sipping on one of Main and Vine’s fabulous craft cocktails. The highlight of our night was yet to come as I ordered the pork Milanese, bone in, which was so tender I only needed my fork to cut through the golden crust. My husband decided to go with the artichoke and aged provolone sourdough pizza. SOURDOUGH! He loved how the flavors came together as no one ingredient overpowered the pizza. A flow or explosion!

I’d be remiss to not mention the staff as we were greeted with a friendly smile and were treated like we were the only people in the restaurant. It’s refreshing to see a staff that emphasizes attention to detail and knowledge of the menu as that is often overlooked. It’s something that separates Main and Vine from all the other restaurants on the main line. The owner himself as well as the GM stopped over to give a friendly hello and ask how we were enjoying everything. It’s quite apparent that they have mastered a true guest experience and attention to service here, and having been in the business myself for years I appreciate this detail.

We are looking forward to going back and continue to explore the menu and experience the whimsical atmosphere Main and Vine effortlessly creates, what a unique and wonderful dining experience.
