It is this craft and culinary union that embodies the MAIN & VINE spirit and approach. Our bistro welcomes guests to experience the best of Northern California for themselves, in a sophisticatedly hip, yet relaxed atmosphere.
The drinks were amazing. The food was great! We had the mushroom pizza and oysters and sourdough bread for apps. We had the short ribs and chicken for dinner. We also had the Brussel sprouts. Everything was fantastic. The noise level was high. I highly recommend.
Great vibe here! Service was very attentive and loved the food! I had the pork Milanese which was wonderful! Highly recommend!
First time visit for my birthday. Both my friend and I thought the food was excellent. I had wild salmon and she had short ribs. Also had cauliflower soup and beet salad. Only issue was large table next to us which was extremely loud.
Delicious lunch. Food presentation was beautiful. Staff incredible. Definitely will return
Waiter was indifferent, fish was over cooked.
Disappointed overall, expected more based on review.
Surprising quality across the board in a 'mall like' setting. The food was flavorful and perfect portions. The noise was a distraction precluding comfortable 'across the table' conversation. The bar was quite enjoyable. Excellent friendly and knowledgeable bar staff and the large video screens puts this establishment in the 'high end' sports bar category.
Great restaurant! The food is delicious and the service impeccable. Will be going back again soon.
Excellent food, drink, and service! Perfect experience all around. Looking forward to returning next week!
GREAT service and food. Manager Jay couldn't be nicer. We will be back!!
Beautiful new vibe in town.
Excellent service and yummy eats
Great service, very attentive staff! Food came out hot and was delicious! Would definitely recommend the burger and the Brussels sprouts.
Went on New Years Eve for dinner. We had a 7:00 Reservation and were seated promptly. The 1st table we were seated at was small, we were a party of 4. Our Waitress, Emily, saw there was a space issue told us to wait there about 6-8 minutes that a actual table for 4 was finishing and would switch us over. Emily was very good knew the menu and composition of the meals. We were surprised that the New Years Eve menu was their standard with no inflated holiday pricing. The 4 of us were very happy with the service and enjoyed our dinner. We will be back
Loved the ambiance - did not love the food, service, or value.
We were with another couple for dinner and it was the first time for the 4 of us. We enjoyed our appetizers and main course although when I substituted one veggie for another in the "sides" section I was upcharged. I find most restaurants we frequent don't do that. The dessert selection was lacking -an opinion held by the 4 of us. The main room was noisy so we sat in the side area. We were able to hear each other talk. Our waiter Rich was very attentive and professional. All in all, a good experience and we would go back.
Another fantastic dining experience at Main & Vine. Food is outstanding - I recommend the scallops, pizza, chicken fried oysters, brussel sprouts and the meyer lemon cake for dessert. Service is top notch - the servers are very accommodating and knowledgeable about the food/drink options. The really cool vibe / ambiance makes you want to hang out there for hours. I highly recommend Main & Vine to anyone looking for a fabulous and unique dining experience.
Terrible service. Waiter rarely checked back on our table and we constantly had to waive her down to ask for things. Most of our food was barely warm by the time it got to us. A few dishes were a little too salty/oily for the quality you should expect from a place like this.
Food was ok- nothing was seasoned with salt. Not even the fries!! Super disappointing. We went for my dads birthday and will not be back.
Just love the pizza's, keeps me coming back time and again.
Christmas Eve dinner with the family. The staff was friendly and overall efficient/attentive. Two of the four entrees were prepared poorly. The PA Lake Trout filet was overcooked and dry. The strip steak, ordered medium, was raw inside and sent back for further grilling. That’s not a near miss but poorly executed with a mediocre cut of beef. The two chicken entrees were fine. Staff was very apologetic and we were “comped” with one dessert item. The friendliness of the staff made up for an awkward dinner experience that was not an inexpensive meal.
Great for a group of 6; excellent food and service. Wine list was very over-priced.
Very noisy. Not a place to hold a conversation. Food was nothing special. Overpriced.
The wife and I had a date night the food and service here was amazing!
Jay and Ray always take such good care of sand I brought some new people and they will be back!!!
Great evening - again! Service and friendly staff made for a great atmosphere! Perfect for all ages including young ones! Will return again! Food was great and plenty of options.
This place will get my vote for Best New Restaurant of the Main Line!!! You better get those Brussel sprouts and scallops!!! The best thing I have ever had in my life. Fantastic service from Lori and drinks to die for. Had the pleasure meeting the owner, hats off to Jay Stevens. Job well done.
Excellent food, thin crust pizza highly recommended. A little pricey but overall good dining experience.
Jay the owner and Ray the manager are always very attentive and welcoming. Our waitress Nikki was very knowledgeable and efficient and extremely pleasant to work with. The food is amazing and we have brought several people there all of whom have enjoyed it immensely.Cannot say enough positive things about this wonderful restaurant!
I just really do not think it is worth the price. The food was ok, but not outstanding. The fig toast is delicious, the kale salad was too salty, the maple roasted squash was not good at all. We got Rocky Road Pudding for dessert and it tasted like very average candy bar, too sweet and not chocolaty enough. You may like it if you are used to whatever Hershey calls "chocolate". And there really is no reason to charge $16 for a glass of average wine.
PGood food. stopped in on a Thursday night, but pricey.
It was relatively quiet. We were seated immediately which was good. We skipped the starters, as it is the eating season, and we wanted to see how the main courses tasted. Consider it a scouting trip for upcoming family events and a night out.
Overall the service was fine.
Had the Pork Milanese and the Scallops. The food came relatively quickly. The Milanese Pork was very nicely prepared. The scallops equally so.
Here's the challenge. The price per plate was higher than many other equivalent restaurants. Maybe on a few $, but it set a tone. Perhaps the most challenging value point was the wine list. While we all understand that there will be a markup this one set a new high even compared to New York prices. The markup varied between 3x-5x! Compared to other establishments with a consistent 3X markup this adds up if you host say 6 people.
To start, our server Nikki was awesome. Very pleasant, friendly and professional. Provided us a few lunch ideas. I had one of the lunch specials, Flatbread, that included a salad and warm cookie for dessert, everything was very tasty and served with a smile. My guest had the taco’s, her first experience at M&V, and I am certain she will be back. She said they were delicious.
All in all, a delightful lunch at M&V, I highly recommend going there.
This restaurant has become our favorite "go-to" place for a great meal. The food is interesting, the cocktails
are delicious, and the service is outstanding. We dine here for any excuse: birthday, date night, friends' meeting--we haven't had a bad meal!
Third time here and first 2 times were excellent in all areas except for the noise factor which every restaurant seems to struggle with nowadays because of the decor and hardwood floors.
This time our service was terrible. Our server was cocky and down right rude. Two of the entrées had run out and when we asked about the lasagna he said it wasn’t his favorite. When our friend decided to order it he said it wouldn’t be his fault. Not professional. Then our meals took an extraordinarily long time to receive and while it was noted that there was a delay it wasn’t with any compassion except from the woman who delivered the food. She was very nice and apologetic.
Fiends from out of town joined us for a delicious, reasonably priced meal.
Food, ambience, staff...everything was great but it doesn’t get loud.
The service was impeccable! The restaurant has a fun vibe. I ordered salmon and my husband ordered halibut. Both were excellent! Also the Brussels sprouts were delicious!
We will definitely return!
An amazing meal and excellent service!!!
Special destination for any occasion!!!
Excellent service and excellent food. The ambience was fantastic, the wine list top notch.
I was a little skeptical about this restaurant given its size (large) and location (in a shopping center off Lancaster Ave), but it turned out to be a fantastic experience. The menu was large and varied yet everything we tried was terrific from the Fig Toast appetizer to the seared scallop entree and seasonal cocktails to the amazing sourdough bread. Our waiter Christian was a true professional -- helpful but not overbearing, knowledgeable but not annoyingly so and very accommodating (he brought us samples of two different wines to try before deciding. The prices were very reasonable for the food quality and the portions were ample without being grotesquely large. We would go back again in a heartbeat since we only scratched the surface of the menu. I hope this restaurant catches on with the Main Line community and beyond. It fills a need for a restaurant that has fantastic food and a great atmosphere without a snotty attitude and high prices.
Nice atmosphere with an inviting bar. Friendly, attentive service. I had the onion soup (delicious but a little on the sweet side) and a beet salad (served with ricotta cheese vs the more usual goat cheese). Husband had the cauliflower soup and rainbow trout. Thumbs up for the soup, rainbow trout was a little over cooked. We give the food about a 3.5 but would probably come back and order apps or flatbreads at the bar.
Saturday night dinner with friends. Everything was perfect: drinks, appetizers, entrees, desserts and more drinks! Server was attentive and knowledgeable. Can't wait to go back!
