Very nice restaurant. Love the atmosphere. Extremely friendly staff. The food tastes amazing. I can’t complain on anything. I was very impressed with the service provided. The price was a high but you can not put a price on quality food and service. Their drinks were great, you can’t say they watered down the drinks because it was strong. Will definitely visit this place again. Highly recommended
We had a lovely brunch for our 30th wedding anniversary with our party of 10 people. Table was perfect and the food and service were great. Highly recommend!
Below average Italian food in an above average ambiance and service environment. If you’re looking for really good Italian food this is not your place. But if you don’t care about the quality of food and just want a great view with mediocre plates, go for it.
Outstanding as always!
I made a reservation for 9:45, I wasn't seated until close to 10:30. The Calamari and eggplant parm were good, however the papardelle pasta and was a bit undercooked and very chewy. The salmon lacked some flavor to it. The waiter was polite and friendly,
Service is impeccable!
The food is phenomenal!
I had the honor of taking my family for 2 separate special occasions & both times, the Chef greeted our table & the manager took pics of our family!
Look forward to celebrating my birthday there in July! 😃
I went for dinner for the first time and first I expected it to be in a higher floor because in the website looks like it but it did not disappointed me at all. The ambiance of the restaurant was great, you can still hear your conversations without yelling. The food was amazing. Very attentive staff. Yes, is pricey but worth it. The only thing was that at the end of my meal I felt a little rush out. Maybe it was not the intention of the staff. Thank you for a beautiful and delicious evening
The hostess wanted me to wait and the had forgot that I was waiting (so i waited for around 15 mins even though i had the reservation). The food was too salty but other than those two, ambiance and service were all good
The place was as beautiful as it looks on the website. There’s no fabrication there! It was dimly lit with window walls and a view. I celebrated my anniversary with my partner and he and I found it to be very intimate and appetizing. We ordered the truffle fettuccini which is prepared in a cheese wheel right in front of you, the lamb meatballs, me the chicken parmigiana and he the sea bass special. We topped it off with two bacca punches and dessert (I can’t remember their names but both were delicious). In sum, we had an excellent time! My only critiques would be that I found the service to be a little rushed from the orders to how quickly dishes and menus were taken off the table. The chicken parm also tasted a little over-cooked, but I enjoyed the sauce and cheese a lot. Next time I visit, I’ll order a bolder choice. Maybe the steak! Thanks, Maiella!
The food was amazing and so was the nervous ! We will Deff be back
This was our 4th or 5th time at Maiella and somehow the experience was as good if not better than the first time. The food was amazing as always. Our server, I feel bad because I forget his name, but he was amazing. He was personable and funny and made the experience even more enjoyable. I tell everyone I know about this restaurant. Will be back soon
Great food and service
We went to Maiella with family from London and some friends. Food was awesome! Service is excellent and waiters were just great.
The only thing I would have liked is to be seated by a window so my London family would have seen great views. But that was not to be. We were seated in the inside room.
Still, love the place and definitely go there again.
The food is average and over priced. I’ve eaten at much better restaurants and paid half the price. Not worth it.
We waited long time to be seated. But the food is great
Great place near the water in LIC. Classy, with excellent service and a great view of the river.
superb, pasta made table set, wow, every dish we has was perfectly cooked, my stek was cooked to perfection, my wife's branzino a treat.. our desert was spectacular. a must go
Excellent food atmosphere and service. Will definitely recommend this restaurant to friends. I can't wait to back.
For a top restaurant in LIC, Maiella disappoints me again as it did in December 2016. I had the same dish - upside down Lasagna and again regretted getting it. Nothing changed. Service though is amazing. Food is extremely overpriced - I had Barilla in Manhattan and spent $13 in a meal there and it was much more delicious. As a Corporate Event planner for an Investment Bank, I’ve worked with many venues - for this price point, I’d expect better.
Had a very enjoyable evening. The food was excellent along with the friendly service. Would definitely return.
Delicious food, fantastic service. The space was beautiful and romantic
Food and service was fabulous
Had an amazing time thank you all so much!!
When I'm in town; I always like to grab a meal here. Food is outstanding. Service is refined and attentive . Great place for any occasion. Outside dining during the spring and summer months.
The house fettuccini is highly recommended
They brought us the wrong entree and no one came over to explain what was happening for several minutes. My food was getting cold as I waited for my husband to get his. We called over a manager who was amazing and actually comped both of our entrees. We were so pleasantly surprised. Mistakes happen and this was such a nice way to remedy it. The food is very pricey but it's worth it.
Belated Valentine’s dinner
Great service great atmosphere. The waiter was knowledgeable about everything on the menu.
Overall great experience! The atmosphere is pleasant, the food was good (esp the charcuterie—and fun to have the Fettuccini Maiella cooked tableside). However, we ordered the roasted half chicken as a main dish (I forget the name of the actual plate), which was described as a roasted half chicken with squash and polenta fries, but came out drenched in a sort of golden barbecue sauce with a couple pieces of squash topped with a lot of roasted onions and peppers (that tasted like fajita veggies)—not at all the Italian dish we were expecting, which distracted from our experience being that it is an Italian restaurant) the dish was good, but not as described and too contrasting with the rest of the menu. Service was excellent!
Came here for Valentine’s Day dinner, prefix was horrible. Never again!
Food in Valentine’s Day was absolutely awful. Fish was frozen and tasted like rubber and clearly the workers were trying to rush everyone out. Very disappointed in this restaurant especially since I was recommended to come here
Absolutely outstanding! I took my girlfriend there for Valentine’s Day and she and I were in heaven!
Went with friends for Restaurant Week. enjoyed the burrata, fried artichoke appetizers, the ravioli and trout entrees, the Venetian and panetone budino for desserts. I wish we had been seated near the windows to enjoyed the City view. the room we were in was lovely but better for private party or a romantic dinner. Will go back to try their specialty pasta dish
Great food and service. The suckling pig is highly recommended. Make sure you try the bread pudding for dessert.
So accommodating and kind. Beautiful ambiance and great service.
Amazing ambiance, beautiful place. Outstanding service. I personally didn’t love my dish, but I tried friends entrees and they were great. Dessert options were also great!
A little overpriced and very noisy but good food and a pleasant ambiance.
While the venue is quite nice and the quality of service is what you would expect for such an establishment, the food is not worth it by any means. Just as an example, one of our starters was essentially a caprese salad, but they just sliced up some Roma tomatoes with no seasoning for the tomato component. It was bland and uninteresting. I could have literally made better food at home with all the same ingredients they used. Dessert was probably the only decent part of the meal, but even there everything was a tad too much on the sweet side.
Beautiful views of Manhattan. We went for Restaurant week to try a new place. The food was just okay on the pre fix menu. Off the regular menu we tried the caccio e pepe and that was delicious.
