Everything was very good, the service was also very good. Minor hiccup with the bill, they charged us for four additional people per person. It was an oversight, but it should’ve been looked at before it got brought to our table. However it was handled professionally and the error was corrected. Very beautiful restaurant. Due to the size of our party we did a price fixed menu and there was plenty of food. Nobody left hungry. Will be back.
Great atmosphere! Staff are very friendly. Location is great. Food was delicious. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful dinner.
The view was nice. The ambiance was beautiful! The food was PHENOMINAL! Only complaint was I took my husband here for his birthday. I told the waiter when we were seated and myhusband walked away that it was his birthday and to please do a candle with dessert to which he said No problem. Dessert came out and no candle or "Happy Birthday"... insult to injury when the tables surrounding us all had waiters singing them happy birthday with candles in their dessert. I was really really disappointed and felt so bad that he didn't get the same.
Beautiful place but way overpriced for the quality of the food. Tiny portions for appetizers and our main courses were dry and unappealing. Very disappointing.
Very nice place for a special occasion.
For 5 ppl with 1 drink each, sharing 3 apps and 2 desserts, and each getting an entree, our bill was about $70 / person before tip. The view and atmosphere of the restaurant are spectacular! The service was top notch, even though they got my wife's order wrong. They corrected it very quickly and with minimal fuss. Valet parking available for $10, and well worth it.
Went for my mothers birthday, and literally wasted my time. The waiter was rude & pushy. When asked for an orange twist (a drink on their menu) he brought an orange peel on a stick & stuck it into my boyfriends coke. The pasta cooked in the cheese wheel was mediocre & basically inedible. I brought a cake w special candles which the waiter tried to keep at the end of the night & I had to physically find him to get them back. My mother and I ordered a whiskey sour & dirty martini at the bar when we first walked in & they were terrible. All in all, DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE. This restaurant is sad compared to all of the others in the area. Needless to say, I will never go back.
Celebrated my husbands birthday and he loved it!!!! It was just the two of us. The food was also very good!
Great food, atmosphere and service. Highly recommend. One of our favorite places.
Friends birthday and my wedding anniversary!
Delicious appetizers and all the entrees we ordered were great. The only issues we had was that we were celebrating my moms birthday , but the waiter didn’t say happy birthday to her. He was low energy. The service was subpar at best. They were cleaning the room while we were eating dessert. It didn’t feel like a celebratory meal.
If you are looking for an enjoyable meal where you have a conversation, this is not the place for you. But if you want to party and have a group of friends to loudly celebrate, this is your place. The food isn't great but the location is nice.
Waiter kept looking at his electronic device to put in the food order. No eye contact. Felt like I was at an Applebee’s.
Food was good but the server who took care of our table was not good.
I was very disappointed when he put the To-Go box on the floor.
I’ve been to this restaurant many times before, but I always disappointed the quality of service.
Stunningly beautiful room made even better by low noise level. Great service, we were waited on by Angel who was excellent in every way. Food is very good and hearty, but a bit on the basic side. It very close to the water with a view of Empire State and Chrysler if you get seated near the windows. View is restricted by high risers on both sides so it's a view, but not a panorama. That said, recommend for sure.
We came to Maiella for Sunday brunch to celebrate a friend's birthday. What a great choice! The restaurant was beautifully decorated with gold ornaments. Our waiter Luigi was wonderful and the food was so delicious. We can't wait to come back for dinner!
First time eating brunch in LIC. The poor experience began right at the reception when I was brought to the wrong table. After sorting that out I was sat at a decent table for two by the window. We both ordered the brunch specials. I got waffles and they were too burnt and insanely sweet and I didnt even touch the jar of syrup provided. She ordered eggs benedicts with salmon and they were too salty. Each brunch order came with a side and I ordered bacon. Too crispy, crumbled immediately upon contact. She orderd potato with cheese and apparently potato with cheese was already a default side that came with the eggs benedicts but the server did not even bring that up when we were ordering. When her food came, she ended up having two orders of the potato with cheese. We asked to switch one out and the waitress complied. Will never return based on the food quality.
Let me start by saying that I called to change our reservation around 5 times, including date and number of people. They could not have been nicer and more accommodating each time. I had been here before but this time I was disappointed. The food was fine, not great. The room is beautiful and the views of manhattan nice. The service was terrible. The quality of the wait staff doesn’t match the restaurants overall feel. Our waiter should have been working in a diner. They use electrician devices to record your order but it makes it harder I think. The waiter was looking at the device to figure out how to use it. He wasn’t really engaged in taking care of us. We asked to take some leftover food home. The waiter looked confused and never brought us the wrapped up food.
Overall not the experience I was hoping for. We were 9 people for my daughters 25 birthday.
Great service great ambience great food
Food was bland. Almond Crusted Sole was ok, but bland and needed something more than oranges and potatoes. A green vegetable would have been more interesting.
Maiella is a pleasure to dine at!! The menu, the wine list, the cocktails , the service , the ambiance , the location and view is just fabulous!
We have dined here twice and each time is the same.... excellent service and meals!
Special thank you and cheers to manager JP and bar tender Elias, you both made our Sunday evening so enjoyable.
See you again soon!!

Amazing place to have an anniversary
Mother’s 70th birthday was a success. Great food and great service!
My second time here. I love the ambience of the restaurant. The staff is friendly and helpful. I went on Friday with a reservation for 7:30 and I got there early and I was seated quick. I ordered lobster linguine and it was delicious then for dessert a cup of coffee and Maiella’s signiture cake ( phenomenal). The only negative to my night was the wait, everything took forever to arrive (food). Luckily it was delicious!
All was good but the music was way too loud and as long as you want to promote Italian food, why not play Italian music? I hated the music; it really affected my night.
our waiter, John was FANTASTIC. Made my husband's 30th birthday something to remember and made him feel so special. The food was wonderful.
The place is amazing. We were treated very well.Owner Tommy has unbelievable service...Would reccomend this place to all my friends
The manager was rude and did make some points in our night really awkward!
This restaurant is beautiful. Drinks and food are very good. I went for lunch on a Sunday but their brunch special looks very good as well. Next time I will try that but Who wants mimosa when you can have a Maiella for lunch. I highly recommended.
Was there for my anniversary. Had a great time. Food was awesome. Service just right.
Great service & great food. Very cool ambience and location right on the water with views of Manhattan.
Highly recommend it for anyone in the Long Island City area!
I write this in a happy food coma- OMG osso buco that did not require a knife! This is our go-to place for special icasiond and it’s never failed us. Superb service, food, and ambiance. Ahh... :)
We were not given a bread basket. All the tables around us received one. When we asked for it, we were told that we would get one. It never came.
Food was ok. One meal had to be sent back but it was probably not good veal. And we were not charged for the meal. The salmon was delicious. Nice ambiance and nice view of Manhattan. Service was excellent.
Amazing as always
We had an issue with kitchen messing up our order so it took almost an hour to get our entree, but the food was excellent as always and service otherwise was very good.
Service is Superb ! Food is amazing 😉 .we had a complimentary drink when we got there while we waited for our seats .
This place is incredible. The food was amazing and the service was perfect. We're having our wedding reception there in April and can't wait.
Chic place great food wonderful service good great crowd of clientele. Our friends loved it !
Great food, great atmosphere. Location is superb for business, romantic evening or just with friends. A little on the expensive side, but still worth every penny. Parking in the area is rough, but they offer valet service.
