The chicken parmigiana, the Maiella Pasta & scallops were amazing. The lasagna not so much
Service needs to be improved. Newer staff needs proper training. Some hot food came out room temperature. Plating is never consistent nor is the quality of food. Not sure why this place is always hit or miss, but mostly a miss lately. When it opened a few years ago it was a gem. Now it is very different. Still water glasses were filled with sparkling and sparkling glasses were filled with still water the entire meal. Making it awkward to keep getting fresh glasses from servers no matter how many times we explained it to the server. Note to restaurant: Please get coasters with color indication for differentiation. Please get some consistency in your plating and food.
Excellent and beautiful! Can’t wait to go back in the spring.
Lovely ambiance to have an anniversary dinner. A bit pricey but well worth it.
Great food and even better service. This was our second visit and we will be returning several times.
Good Italian food at a rather fair price for LIC/NYC
We had an exquisite and great experience at maiella. We went last Saturday around 3pm for a birthday celebration and we were thrilled.. great staffs... delicious food and spectacular service.. we had a blast .
The service is impeccable, the food is delicious. I loved the service through and through. Amazing atmosphere
The lobster linguini and the chocolate soufflé were off the charts good
Mariella is beautiful - amazing space & decor. Views of the Manhattan skyline right in your field of view. Food & service was awesome. Staff was polite & responsive. We celebrated our anniversary & will definitely be going back to Maiella very soon!
Perfect experience!! Outstanding food, wine list, and dessert. Will definitely be returning for another special occasion!!
Beautiful restaurant wonderful service!! Celebrating our 29th Anniversary
Birthday dinner. They took note of my request when I made the reservation and gave us a table in the exact spot alone the windows I asked for.
First Date Night since our daughter was born in July everything was wonderful! Great Service will definitely return during the summer when the deck is open.
Excellent service and incredible food!! Was a little disappointed in the liquor selection and the wine list was okay. But it was still a very enjoyable dining experience and will definitely recommend and would return!
The food was delicious. Mozzarella trio was really fresh, excellent aged balsamic. The bread was fresh and warm. Cacio e pepe prepared tableside was awesome;really happy to find good Cacio e pepe in Queens. Everyone else in my party really enjoyed their food (the Spaghetti Fruti di Mare, Veal Parm, and Orichiette). The dessert panna cottas were also very good.
Service was attentive. Decor was lovely for the holidays. My only gripe is that my family didn’t know the soda did not include refills so we paid $40 for DIET SODA, which is just upsetting. They were served in skinny highball glasses with lots of ice, so it doesn’t take long to finish, and the waiter was attentive about continuously offering another.
Excellent meal, excellent service but the soda thing was annoying. Well, next time we know. Sip slow.
It’s our 10th time and it’s always great. We are next door neighbors and couldn’t be happier to have such a great restaurant next door.
This is my first time here. My first option to have dinner is Gotham bar & grill but for some reason im too lazy to go through traffic so we decided to go to this place since we passed by this place a lot of times. The food is fantastic, we had trio mozzarella with 24 aged balsamic ( if you love cheese, i do recommended this dish) and we had pasta and they make it in front of you), we also had veal parmesan ( im not crazy about this dish) and sauteed wild mushroom. For our dessert we had eggcustard flambee kind a thing with sauteed berries and grand marnier.
The only thing make this place minus 1 star for me is the service. I asked for hot water a few times and nobody bring me the hot water, we can’t find our server then finally after 4th attempt the training server ( Marcus) giving us my hot water. He’s nice. I still will be back here, i hope the second time im here they improve the service of their servers.
Amazing. The service is always phenomenal and the manager wad extremely pleasant
We had a great experience! Food was delicious, the decorations were gorgeous, nice view and very attentive staff. Had a lovely time!
The food was amazing! Thank you Chef Solinas❤️! We could not stop talking about your Fettuccine Maiella. Loved it! It was a special night with my family. Great service. We felt right at home. Every year your great holiday decorations add to the warm atmosphere. See you again soon- Happy New Year to everyone on your team!

Dress code according Web site said Elegant, but I saw people with sneakers, woman dress like Parade festival....couple years ago MAIELLA was really perfect to have a romantic and elegant date with your significant other....today after my last visit I completely disappointed, My wife and I take dress code very seriously...but apparently MAIELLAS doesn't care anymore...GOOD LUCK...anyway...I hope come back to the original version of ELEGANT.
We had a Wonderful Waiter, Brad, that made the Occasion Memorable. Excellent, Food & Service.
The food, service and environment was phenomenal. We enjoyed every second of it!
Great food. Great drinks. Great service. We had such a good time.
Stopped in for a Saturday lunch/brunch.(party of 6)
I know, I know..... its NY/LICity but a bit pricey.... $34 brunch for eggs or pancakes - side of bacon was 2 small strips - even with a included mimosa.....I think was a bit over-priced. Other guests had lunch options - sea bass was served on sliced winter veg's swimming in oil (believe was $29)
Plus side great ambiance (would think it would be loud if restaurant was full though) and wait staff attentive without feeling rushed - so appreciated that.
Would try again for dinner possibly
everything was top notch amazing food and ambiance, and the service was fantastic
Maiella is hands down the best restaurant in LIC. The cacio e pepe is beyond amazing.
Reasonable prices, charming ambiance/atmosphere with a great view of the city, and the caccio e pepe is simply delicious, the kumamoto oysters fresh, and branzino mouth-watering. I would recommend the nutella panna cota for dessert, their much vaunted wedding cake was much too sugary for me.
Knocked off one star for the rather pretentious, nose-in-the-air hostess who was nice enough, but seems to think cracking a smile is for plebeians only. Still, having gone here three times in the past month, I would certainly recommend. And the wait staff are helpful, pleasant, and unobtrusively ensures your drinks and water are full, with the table wanting for nothing.
Food was delicious and service was exceptional!
First of all they changed their menu and took off our favorite dishes so we were disappointed by that. Secondly, we assume it's because it was Christmas Eve, but our waiter was absolutely clueless. He knew nothing about the menu, our appetizers arrived before we even received bread and we had to ask for bread about 5 times. Then, he left for the night without saying a word to us. We had to find a waiter to complete our meal and ask for dessert and the check. Very disappointing experience for a meal we were really looking forward to.
Christmas eve dinner date
Outstanding great food and service Nice view of Manhattan and friendly staff
We come here often. First time for Christmas Eve dinner. Place is beautifully decorated. Good food, usually great service but they forgot to bring our coffee and tea with the dessert. Had to have them take it off bill. Hopefully this was just an anomaly as the place was starting to get extremely busy.
You have to go to this restaurant! I felt in heaven when I ate the wine pasta and the creme brûlée.
What a gem! Chef Raffaele carefully selects the freshest ingredients and entertains guests at Maiella. Very very very good Italian restaurant absolutely worth the drive from Manhattan / Brooklyn.
Great oysters. The best pannetone in their complimentary brunch basket I’d ever had. Pasta dishes were ok. Grilled shrimp entree was great. The tiramisu and the bread pudding were sublime. Great view of the manhattan skyline
Food never disappoint! Its an amazing restaraunt with great managment and always a good service. But as an restaraunt owner I have to say that you should get more staff on a busy night such as Friday. I tried to order more food and drinks several times and wasnt able to catch a server. We ordered appetizers but the main came at the same time. No big deal, but nobody came for next 30 minutes to check if food is ok or do we need something. We ended up ordering more food that was supposed to be packed later as a leftover.Didnt notice that the food never made it back to our table( almost the whole flatbread) until we were leaving. Manager bought us desert and coffee which is really nice but not necessary. I rather pay for food I want to eat and great service than get anything for free.
I will deffinetly be back, because one bad night can’t ruin what they have build up for years. But to touch up on service basics would be nice.
Dined here last week with friends for a holiday dinner. Beautiful holiday decor, great service at the front. The dining room lighting was a little too bright and the music a tad bit too loud. Loved the service, the food was delicious. My only complaint was the faux dessert display - it's very unappetizing and cheapens the experience. I think a menu with description is more than enough. Overall the seafood tower was a must as well as the fettucine Maiella.
