   Have had much better experiences at Maiella in the past. The food was good, however some plates came out cold and the steak dish ordered was missing the fries. Service was good, only complaint was that went we wanted to order the tableside pasta we were told that it would not be able to be made as there was no room. However, the table next to us had just had the dish. Wish it was a better experience. Hamachi crudo is a must order.

   Went for my friend’s birthday. Food and service was outstanding. Other than parking being a challenge we had a great time. I would suggest using one of the parking garages close by $14

   Not sure if it’s under new ownership/management, but a far different experience than last 2 over the last 3 years. From the unenthusiastic greeting at the front desk to the poor service received, not sure what has happened to a once great place. Ambiance has been degraded, unclean bathrooms and workers seem to hate life. What a let down.

   Appetizer portions are very small and took a long time to arrive, so order accordingly. Service was generally good but there were some big gaps in attention to our table by our waiter. The food was very good but not outstanding given the prices. The strangest thing we encountered was when we tried to order our appetizers ahead of our main meal. The waiter told us that since it was starting to get busy, they had been instructed by the kitchen that they could only do one ticket per table. Ironically the place was half empty at that time. However, since we were still waiting for one of our party to arrive, the waiter did allow us to order our apps.

   I heard good things, read them too, so decided to bring my sister here for her birthday. The food was great, ambiance was nice, and I wager the bar is probably great too. Unfortunately the service, from when we walked in, was sub-par. Took about half an hour to get the waiter to come over, and every other instance after (of the waiter / service coming to our table) took a pretty long time. It’s worth mentioning I made the reservation indicating it was a birthday, asked for a little something for my sister (I would pay, of course). But even that was missed, waiter brought the check over. The saving grace was the manager walking over and asking how everything was. I gave it to him straight, and it took him noticing to get the ball rolling. So a thank you to him (didn’t get his name). I’m going to chock it up to an off night for the waiter, but interestingly enough every other table he was servicing (even if they arrived afterward) got the kind of service that was expected. Overall the food was pretty good. Aside from the lackluster service and mediocre attention to detail, the experience was decent. I’m sure I’ll find myself going back for a date night.

    Came on a busy Sunday where service wasn’t so great. Had 3 of 4 entrees come out, told them we are missing an order, 10 minutes pass and I have to then find my server to make them aware of my missing entree again. The food was then brought out immediately. Although, the service wasn’t the best the food was great as well as the ambiance. I wouldn’t mind returning on a day that is not as busy and crowded.

    We went for Mothers Day, and while we ran late to the reservation we were still able to be seated fairly quickly. The menu was pre fine but that was okay we enjoyed everything we had. The portion sizes were perfect, enough food to be satisfied. Best tiramisu I’ve had. The atmosphere was inviting. Music was good and not loud.

    We went there for Mothers Day. The staff was very accommodating and they didn't rush you. All of our food came out on time and was a good temperature. The ambiance was beautiful. We will definitely come back.

    First of all, when I booked the reservation, I said it was a special occassion with relatives from out of town and requested a window table. We were seated in the bar area next to a wedding reception. My sister had to search for any beets in her Pere E gorgonzola salad, but her Cappelletti Al Funghi was delicious. The Calamari Fritti was way too chewy. The Oysters were excellent. Two of us shared the Cacio E Pepe and it was clear the server did not know how to plate it; it was almost cold by the time we tried it. And neither of us barely touched it; it was so rich it was almost inedible.

    I had the pleasure of meeting Eduardo, the GM and I have to say he was a true gentleman. Maiella is a go to for me and I am there quite often due to the amazing food, great staff, and overall great experience every time.

    First I must say WOW. First time coming to Maiella and it was amazing. Had dinner with my cousin and the food was incredibly delicious , very tasty. The scenery was to die for. Definitely highly recommended. Special thanks again to Carlos for an excellent customer service. The staff is so friendly, we felt very welcomed. I'll be back 😊😊

    Everything was great! Excellent choices on the prix fixe menu. As usual, everything was cooked perfectly. Drinks generous and on point. Although it was a holiday, we were not rushed at all. Service was attentive and courteous. Perhaps my only complaint was that the music was a bit loud. I'm sure I could have requested it be lowered......apparently someone eventually did!

    Beautiful restaurant! Staff, management and kitchen first rate. Eduardo the GM is a first class manager. No detail overlooked. We had a birthday dinner on Easter eve. Waitstaff on point, never had to request anything from staff, they were so accommodating. The kitchen staff is excellent! We sampled 4 different apps and entrees which were delicious and perfectly prepared and presented as well as mind blowing delicious. One of the top restaurants in NY without traveling to Manhattan. Wonderful evening and will definitely be back!

    This was the first time in years that I was disappointed. I asked for my salmon to be cooked medium, and half of it was rare. The service was very good, but my meal wasn't up to the normal standards that I've come to expect.

    I used to absolutely love this place. Me and 3 guests arrived at 730 for an 8PM Reservation. The oldest member of our crowd was 60 and the youngest was 36. The music level was already way too high for a dining establishment. I’ll deal with it. They didn’t have two of the bottles we asked for off of their iPad wine list. But it was fine we found a good bottle. The oysters, (which they couldn’t or wouldn’t give us horseradish for) tuna, and polpo were fantastic. The table side TAGLIATELLE TARTUFO, and Cacio e Pepe were so bland and cold, no black truffle taste whatsoever. We had them reheat the cacio e Pepe and it was still too bland and cold to eat. They took it back but they didn’t take the tagliatelle tartufo back… The veal park for two was amazing, but not fully a two person portion. It was large bone in and very crispy. The staff had a back door that people were using to go in and out causing a constant draft which was very annoying. We won’t be coming back, hoping to find a new high end Italian restaurant in the area soon.
