Food was fine, but for the price, not great value. Pasta with pig disappointing; cacio & pepe very good
Overall, I would recommend this place to be tried at least once. The food was quite good. I went basically for the sole purpose of trying the Maialino Al Forno (roasted suckling pork) which was indeed very tasty; it had incredible crispy skin with just the right layer of fat and the pork was juicy. I was not that impressed with the size of it though, from reviews I have read and from what the manager was saying, I was expecting something much larger. We shared it as an appetizer among my dining group of 4 but I would say if you were really hungry and a fan of pork, it is definitely doable for one person to eat the whole thing with no problem. All the pastas were good too especially the squid ink tagliolini. Service was a mixed bag; our water was refilled quite often and the waiter was friendly when he first came over but it took them quite a bit before they came to take our orders. The space was nice but was quite cold for most of the evening.
Celebrated a birthday there with my parents. Great great restaurant!
all of the food was delicious. the waiter was very well knowledged. tip is included in the bill.
Perfect for a quiet lunch. The good was very good and the service perfect.
Love this restaurant - every time I come to New York it is at the top of my list.
Unhappy with the oxtail dish but restaurant apologized on a follow up
Every city should have a Maialino for your go-to authentic Italian cuisine. The starters are not to miss and a meal by itself. However if you share the meats & cheeses and an entree or two, you will even have room to share dessert.
Always a wonderful experience! Loved our booth and everyone could not been nicer. Cannot wait to go again!
I proposed to my girlfriend in Gramercy Park (and she said yes!) and we came here afterwards for brunch. What a special place to be. Ambiance is great, extremely friendly people, and the food is incredible. Must get a cinnamon bun!
