Great food and good service
We went early on New Year's Eve. The restaurant was not very busy but was fully staffed. Food was excellent as usual. We love sitting in the bar & we had the perfect corner table.
I had a decent time at Maialina. We visited the restaurant for my partners birthday dinner. The food was delicious and simple. See my Instagram post @light.lol for a detailed review!
Ambience was nice. The shrimp fondue appetizer was tasty! However, the lasagna was cold, and the bottom was hard!
Wonderful meal. The dining area is currently limited, so reservations are a must!
Excellent Food & Drinks. It was pretty chilly in the restaurant and the Caesar salad was kind of fishy tasting (from maybe too many anchovies). However we will absolutely return, the meatballs were delish, the cheese toasts were great, our kids loved the flatbread and despite there not being a kids menu they were able to half any dish on the menu to make it a kids portion which was awesome!
This is our favorite go-to place when visiting family. Food is outstanding and never have had bad service.
Everything was excellent, as always. One of our very favorite restaurants. Can never go wrong with the lasagna!
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy and romantic
Food, wine, and specialty cocktails were on point.
The salmon was outstanding! Very flavorful meal. Calamari entree was a bit chewy and wasn’t a fan of the chocolate topped tiramisu. The service was very personable and terrific. Will definitely visit again on a future visit to Indy.
Great place. Quiet. Quick service even though it was busy.
The food and service was very average. The food tasted like it was not made fresh and was overpriced for the entree. We were excited to try this place but likely won’t be back based on our experience.
Met up with a friend for a special dinner while he was in town for thanksgiving. Neither of us had been to Maialina but had heard great things; it definitely lived up to the hype. It was a quiet and distinguished environment with excellent wine and pasta. I would definitely recommend the ricotta bruschetta as an appetizer as well as the rigatoni rustica entree. Service was great as well! Definitely want to come back—it’s a bit upscale and nice for special occasions though won’t break the bank.
Love this place, servers and food are great, we go about once a week
An exceptional find. Dinner was relaxed yet sophisticated. It was fun to explore the menu with our server and create a memorable evening. A place I will always eat when visiting Indy.
Bolognese pasta is outstanding every time. My son in law enjoyed the fig and sausage flatbread. Great food and lively ambiAnce which is why we come back. Just got back from a week in Napa and Maialina is just as good.
We sat in the bar section and had a great experience with our server, especially when she answered honestly that one of the entrees was mediocre and don’t order it. My pasta (Rigatoni) was fantastic. Definitely would come back.
Had an amazing dinner!! Highly recommend the garlic parmesan bread & the chicken parmesan!
My wife and I ate here the night before the Indy Monumental Marathon to "carb load." Great atmosphere just outside of downtown and close-by street parking. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We had a bruschetta appetizer, along with spaghetti and meatballs (me) and a clam pasta dish (my wife). I also had the arugula salad. Everything was excellent and more than reasonably priced. My only regret was, because I was running the next day, I passed on the tiramisu, which I'm sure would have been great also!
Food and service were excellent!
FANTASTIC food! We’ll definitely be back!!
Food was great and the service was wonderful, we had Jordan and she was spectacular. The ambiance was great, we really enjoyed our time there.
Staff was friendly and attentive. Food quality was very good and servings were appropriate. The ricotta bruschetta appetizer was well-received. Shrimp in the shrimp scampi were cooked perfectly and the sauce was flavorful. The only negative was that our entrees arrived about ten minutes after we had received our salads which made the timing a little off. Overall, an excellent spot for tasty Italian cuisine in Fountain Square.
Food was outstanding. We had the Salmon, Spaghetti and Meatballs and Toasted Bread - all delicious! The Caesar salad would have been excellent but had too much dressing but the rest of the food was so good we didn’t care. Service was vey friendly but they seemed short staffed as we had to wait a while before getting anyones attention
You walk through the door and you can instantly smell the food. Ordered the calamari and Parmesan toast, amazing. Then for entrees the vodka, shrimp scampi, chicken parm, and vongole. All delicious!!
The food and service was fantastic. Best meal we’ve had in 2 years.
The staff took such great care of me as I waited for family members who were running extremely late. This was my first experience & I will definitely be back!
Mailina is a well kept secret of Fountain Square. We love going there. Always great food and great service.
Dined in for the boyfriend’s birthday with his parents and we’re sat in the smaller carpeted room at a high top table. Jiro was our server who was excellent. Waters never got less than half full and a new glass of soda was always brought to the table without even having to ask. Jiro made great recommendations and my boyfriend’s mom who has several dietary restrictions and is a “spice wimp” thoroughly enjoyed her meal and was happy that Jiro was spot on in his description. I enjoyed my cocktail - which I can’t recall the name of but consisted of Tito’s, Prosecco, and strawberry liquor (I think) was well balanced and tasty. All of the plates were clean - spaghetti and meatballs, shrimp scampi, gamberi with GF pasta, salmon putanesca. We also ordered the Parmesan garlic toast, carciofi, and the chocolate ball/truffle for desert. I don’t know why we’ve waited so long to try this place but we’re in love!
Excellent and prompt service and perfectly made Aperol Spritz
First time eating here. Tried it out for my birthday… our server was awesome and the food was delicious! I got the vodka chicken pasta and friend got the primavera with shrimp. Both were outstanding. Can’t wait to go back and try different dishes
Great place and food
Amazing food! Great service not one complaint. Good location, will return soon 😁
This is one of our favorite restaurants! The food is always excellent, the service is great, and the prices are great.
Good meal good service will come back!
It was my mom, brother, and I but then vibe is very much a date night or special occasion. It was amazing!
Not sure if we got an inexperienced server but she forgot to bring a few things we requested (like butter) and my decaf coffee was delivered when we were almost finished with dessert. Other than the service, the food was excellent and reasonably priced.
Great food and service. In my opinion, the best Italian restaurant in Indy!
