Magnuson Cafe & Brewery
The food was just ok. I got the fish tacos and they were doused with vinegar. My husband got a burger that was over cooked and on the small side.
The host on Saturday night was great, as we arrived 45 minutes early for our 7:30 dinner reservations. He was able to seat us right away with no wait. Family-oriented restaurant and menu choices were good.
Nice, fun place. We sat outside on the deck on a cool night but the heaters were going and it was pleasant. Good place to go with friends and have some beers.
It was a bit off the beaten path (we thought we had gotten lost on our way there, but we hadn’t!) but the food was great! We went on a Saturday for the brunch menu and met up with some friends. All of us enjoyed our food&drink and the service was good— friendly but not overly so (which is a good thing in my book) and our drinks remained full until we were done. I also noted (for next time) that you can bring your pup in the outside seating!
It was a sunny day so the staff was unprepared to have all their tables full with customers waiting. We waited long periods between visits by a clearly frazzled server who had too many tables & bartending duties on her plate. Never got a refresh on our coffee and one of our group was served his meal cold because it'd been waiting too long in the kitchen. To their credit, his entire meal was comped, but he'd only eaten a couple bites and had one cup of coffee. Including that confusion, the table was split into 2 checks, but the meals were split wrong between the two groups. The rest of the table agreed their meals were tasty, but the confusion & service neglect still made for a sub-par experience. The deck is great & I could see myself coming back in summer to have a beer outside, but am not convinced the staff is ready to handle a summertime crowd.
This is a real find. We loved the location and the vibe, and the food and service were both great. And the beer, too — delicious. Went back the next day for breakfast and were impressed once again.
Very good hamburger, well-cooked, good bun. Beer choices are also good..
Had such a great birthday brunch there! Beautiful views and great food!
Bustling brewpub inside Magnuson Park with a large deck and view of Lake Washington. Kitchen is small, so menu is rather limited, but the food and service are both good. Kids and dogs are well-represented.
It wasn’t crowded at 10 on a Saturday morning for brunch, but is still relatively new. Most of the seating is outdoors. Friendly service and good food
Nice beer and cider selection that changes often but not too often. Great view of Cascade mountains. Food is tasty.
