Good place if in Magnolia. We found the food and beverages to be notably overpriced though, which is hard to forgive/forget.

We've eaten here a number of times before but this time the service, food and ambience were all off...hope it was just an off night.

Service was uneven and inattentive. The paella tasted like Uncle Ben’s, very uninspiring. The risotto was better. Not sure why things were so disappointing. We’ve had much better dinners prior

The servers, though young and clearly inexperienced, were fairly attentive (the restaurant was not crowded). The food, though not bad, was essentially unseasoned. I had gone to this location fairly frequently in its prior incarnation (Szmania), and enjoyed it. Overall Rogo’s was a disappointment.

I tried Rogo's back when Michael first took it over for Easter Brunch, which was nummy. I'd wanted to come back and see how he improved it from it's former self. A friend in from out-of-town who wanted to see the Ballard locks made it a perfect spot for showcasing our local fare. It did not disappoint. Her pork chop was divine as was my Weiner Schnitzel. Save room for dessert - the warm seasonal cobbler was the perfect portion to end a meal.

Rogo's October fest was a bust for a birthday celebration. In previous years Rogo's was very well done for October fest. Despite informing and confirming in my reservation of 3 Birthday celebrates, there was no mention or action taken to acknowledge the event. The German potatoes were nothing more than fried potatoes, and the pare strudel tasted store bought. This will be our last outing at Rogo’s

We got a bad start at Rogo's for Oktoberfest when we brought along a nice bottle of Betz Sarah, only to find out that the Corkage fee was $30. We took the bottle of wine back home with us. We asked if we could substitute the side offerings, and they just added it to the plate. One big messy plate of veggies etc Not at all like Szmania's used to be. Very disappointing.

Great service, nice table by the window. Weiner schnitzel was bland, very few potatoes and greasy small portion of over-cooked greens. Wine, so-so, but quaffable. Get the halibut or salmon, both better options and excellent. I had halibut the week before with beluga lentils -- delicious. Flexible, readily substitute to your taste. I'm going back.

Rogo is in our neighborhood, yet we hadn't been for awhile. Now we feel guilty we haven't been patronizing this excellent restaurant more often. The service, food quality, presentation, and value were amazing. We'll definitely be going more often.

I ask for table near bar. Even though there were 4 tables available the host led us to the last table in the rear. Apparently he took no notice of special request in my reservation. I had to again state where I wanted our party to sit. "Details make a difference" pay attention or don't offer requests.
