Always comfortable and great place to have a few cocktails
Mag House was great! They have solid safety practices. The food was great. And the service was awesome!
One of our favorite spots in Pasadena. We always look forward to grabbing food and drinks here when we're in the area. We've tried all of their cocktails and they are all amazing. Great place to grab a few drinks and share plates.
Favorite Spot, glad it is back after Quarantine. It is an awesome dinner/drink place.
Our food, coffee drinks, and mimosas were so great. We love this restaurant.
Great place for an informal night out! Food and drink was great and the staff was very attentive
Brunch was fabulous! Super reasonably priced and the decor and ambiance is so cool and well thought out. Loved it
Queso, fries and burger were great. Sent chicken sandwich back, way overcooked.
Very very good place to eat and relax. The loukamades are unbelievable, best desert i've ever had. Perfect for a date night out on the town.
We loved the food, the service, the drinks, the ambiance. We loved everything!
Great service. Great food. Highly recommend.
Fun place to eat and drink, staff is friendly and the back patio is a little escape from the Main Street.
Requested move from table to fireplace... no problem
Small bites/plates conducive to meeting friends
Fun specials each night
Nice Happy Hour menu
Good house wine
we go there almost every week -- great drinks, great service, great food! It's great to have such a great place so close to home
Went in for weekend brunch. Got a French Pressed Coffee and a Latte - both were terrible. Food was great though! Service was nice and ambience was chill... limited menu options for Weekend Brunch, surprised they didn’t have pancakes or French Toast. Nice to try but probably not an everyday spot.
Beautiful design and aesthetic. A great location for brunch with friends or a date. Excited to try their dinner and cocktails
This is our second time coming on a Sunday and it’s been great - the food, the drinks, and the service. Nice spot to bring friends after church.
Arrived and were seated immediately, service was great and the food delicious. I really like the waffles and chicken! Everyone’s meal was very good.
This place is perfection. The ambience is great, staff are friendly and professional, the food is delicious and so are the cocktails. Brunch gets packed and they play good music--which is to say that it can get loud. It's not really the place for a cozy, quiet, intimate brunch, but if you want a fun, lively one, this is it.
Very nice atmosphere and decor. Went for brunch, food was good but not exceptional, arrived Luke warm as it had been sitting for a while
I haven't been to Magnolia since they first opened many years ago. I'm not much of a brunch lover, so perhaps my expectations were too high. There was not much on the menu that didn't include eggs (which I don't care for). I ordered the chicken tinga chilaquiles...and the were not. They were chicken nachos. Pulled chicken meat, refried beans and cotilla cheese on a bed of tortilla chips. For some reason, they were supposed to be served with an egg on top (what is the deal with slapping a fried egg on everything these days?), which I opted out of. When our food was served, guess what was on top of my "chilaquiles"? You guessed it...an egg. So I had to send it back which meant my friend had to eat without me so that her food wouldn't get cold.
Okay, so that's all the bad. The good is that the service was really good. The server was very attentive without hovering, and she even came out to apologize for getting my order wrong. We each ordered a speciality drink...sangria for my friend and an Almost Palmer for me. The drinks were delicious and pretty strong.
The prices for both the drinks and the food was, in my opinion, very reasonable. I just wish the food had been better. Probably won't go back here again. Too bad...the ambiance makes it a nice place to enjoy a Sunday afternoon.
Great place for brunch. Portions are great. I had the chicken tinga chilaquiles. Delicious. The place is like a house that was converted to a brunch place. Very casual and nice.
I hadn't seen my friend for a long time and took a chance on something new. I LOVED the look, feel, and food. It was a fantastic place to spend a chatty afternoon with a friend. Service was friendly and they didn't pressure us while we ate and reconnected. I will definitely be back!
Great relaxed environment with fun drinks and excellent brunch options.
Really enjoyed the open air seating. The drinks were new and different to me which made for a very nice morning. A very nice place for a date.
We were there on a Sunday night and did the chicken and tiki drink special. Extremely good. Flavors were spot on. Also had the decadent mac and cheese. Again wonderful. The only thing not good is the ceviche. It is too watery and too much tomatoes.
It was so much fun to dine in a 100 year old Craftsman style home . The food was delicious, we shared several plates between our group. Everyone loved their choices. Our server was very efficient and friendly. They opened the garage style overhead door to the patio sidewalk which was so enjoyable with all of the fresh air. We all agreed we would happily come back and try the outside back patio area which is lovely.
This is one of my favorite local spots. The service and always great, love their food and cocktails! It’s a fun place to spend time with friends!
Great place to go for a meal, we sat on the patio in the shade and it was the perfect spot for a quiet morning breakfast. Food was delicious and waitress Carmyn was really sweet and accommodating.
Service, food, and ambiance were great. The only drawback was the host stand. They did not check in our reservation, so I received a demeaning notice from OpenTable implying that I flaked on my reservation. Now I have to deal with the inconvenience of having to prove my visit because of someone else’s mistake.
The bar in the back is nice, not too big or crowded. The eating area has large windows facing west; tremendous glare is not pleasant if you are there in the early evening. I had the hamburger. Kind of dry and tough. Not cooked medium rare as ordered.
This restaurant caters to a young crowd. This establishment is missing another audience—those older than 30. My friend and I are in our 60s and would have appreciated the kind of attentiveness that was shown by the wait servers to the younger people.
In order for us to return, there needs to be some sensitivity training for the wait staff on serving all patrons, not just people around their own age.
Relaxing spot and ideal for large loud groups - you will need to be in order to hear yourselves. Food was generic/alright, but nothing exceptional. Service was great and attentive.
Plates should be wiped before being placed on the tables. Our dishes kept sliding all over the table which was a bit hazardous.
The restaurant ambience, service, and food were amazing! The only downside is that with the heavy big furniture seating, the aisles seem really crammed and servers kept bumping into us or the other table behind us.
Been Magnolia for the 3rd time. Still love the service, decor, location
Food was delicious. It’s a bummer they don’t tailor to kids because they food would be suitable for little ones. We still had a great time. Perhaps the owners should invest in a couple of booster seats. Other than that, we had a fabulous time.
Always friendly, good value. Since ambiance.
Food is good and reliable
We had very high expectations based on reviews and were disappointed by the reality. Food was mediocre and vegetarians in our party had few options. Cocktails also just okay, despite the assertion "we're known for our cocktails." Slow service. And what might have been a really nice ambiance was ruined by someone's incomprehensible decision to hang TV sets throughout the restaurant. We weren't prepared for a sports bar and, although athletic events weren't being shown, that's what it felt like. There are plenty of places for people who can't stand to be separated from TV -- we were so disappointed to find that Magnolia House was one of them.
Our food was cold... no butter was brought to the table for our waffles... no spoons for hot tea and coffee...
Great decor but bad service.
Place is great for a date night or friends meeting up for happy hour or brunch. But not so kids-friendly, they don't even have high chair or booster seats for baby/toddlers. I would thought brunch would be more of family flare, but guess not. Food is great, service is so-so for the price.
