Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge
It's a very nice place. No doubts. In the nights it's crowded and very fun. Brunch on Sundays is kinda quiet moderate. Ideal place for a date. The waitresses are great. Could be a little more attentive but overall experience was great. Oh I got the Doctor's Orders ;)
It was my pre-birthday brunch. Cute lil rooftop however it’s too cold. Much nicer in the summer months I’m sure. Pretty pricey and still not sure what the admin fee is for.
Great spot for brunch. Josh was wonderful! It's a fun spot to hang out. The food was delicious and well priced. Will definitely be going by again!
Horrible service experience. Waited 45 mins for brunch and was not even offered water.
Management was lax and on their iPhones playing games versus worrying about the guest experience. Around us were various groups from Out of state excited to partake in what appeared to be a great experience. All complained and management did nothing to remedy the situation. Our waitress took our order, then came back around and asked if we were ready to order. I politely reminded her it already happened but she instead was sassy and Ill mannered. It was a bad way to begin what should have been a wonderful Sunday morning during mine and my partner’s anniversary in Manhattan.
The food wasn’t really that good to be honest me and friends got the chicken and waffles with the alcoholic cupcakes and the chicken and waffles wasn’t really that good. The place feels more so for you to go and take a picture for your Instagram either at hr golf course or with your alcoholic Capri sun
Food was good and decor was cute. We ended up at a table that was half in the shade and half in the sun so a few members of the party had to wear sunglasses but otherwise a good brunch get together.
Cotton candy was terrible. Food was very bland. Cool place.
We went for Saturday brunch to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday. The @Egghead on the Roof sandwich was excellent and the servings are generous. It’s a fun space, based around an adult carnival theme - emphasis on adult. Great atmosphere with a quintessential NYC view!!
If you're young. This is the place to be seen. Not impressed. Very overpriced, very loud. The food was good but not a brunch experience. You couldn't talk over the music and that's the whole fun of brunch. Laughing, talking crap with your girlfriends. It wasn't the cleanest rooftop. The bathroom was cleaner. The service was okay but the server was overwhelmed. The process there isn't good for the servers. The magic really doesn't happen there.
Visited on a hot weekend in August for brunch. The cooling system is absolutely terrible and they had two space fans that did not rectify the heat. I would not go back in the middle of summer it’s too hot to enjoy anything. The waitress was not very attentive especially with refilling water given the fact that my friends and I were dripping in sweat as we waited for our meals. The food was good arrived hot and to taste.
As guests of the hotel, everyone raves about how great the brunch is here. We decided to make a reservation for Sunday at 11am. Once we got there, they could not find our reservation as their systems don’t always sync with Open Table (then why make it an option?) Once we got in, we were seated in an area with a good “view”. Sun was hot beaming on us with no breeze and our backs to everyone. After 10 min of no service we went to get our own water from the bar. We had two different servers in a matter of 10 minutes and service was BLAH. We quickly ate and left. Will never return. Do better.
Magic hour rooftop bar and lounge was very nice! Me and my friends went for brunch hour and the food was very good. The rooftop is a nice cute place with beautiful decorations and it also has mini golf which was fun! Overall it was very nice and I enjoyed!
This was our first time finally going & we honestly had the best time. The food & drinks were pricey, but delicious! Our waiter was very patience(my date was kinda late so I prolonged ordering til she got there). Everyone was super nice & welcoming. The ambiance & the atmosphere were relaxing. Photo-worthy background! I cannot wait to come back.
Good food but super expensive and was disappointed when we got there and the picture spots were closed due to events.
We visited as a group of friends on our last night in New York and we all came away wishing we hadn’t. The staff were rude and unhelpful, the cocktails were weak and badly made and to top it all off we were hassled three times to leave the bar despite the fact we were still waiting for the bar staff to process our payment. The view is underwhelming (most of it is obscured by cheap plastic coverings) and it’s seriously overpriced. New York has so many nice rooftop bars to visit - don’t waste your time and money at this one.
Food wasn’t terrible drinks are always great here
Awful experience, unprofessional staff and they didn’t honor our reservation after we drove an hour to get there. Very disappointing and we won’t be returning.
Fun place! Good service. Good food!
Staid there for over an hour, without being served (they didn't even have the decency of offering us a glass of water). Bedises, I was sat at a table and, then, asked to move, because it was already reserved. Worst experience ever!
The experience was amazing! Definitely something you can only get in NYC!
It was awesome! I will definitely be visiting again during after hours to check out that vibe. Food/Drinks are pricey but everything in NYC is.
Service was excellent. We were there for brunch and both ordered the Avocado Toast. Be aware, the photos online are deceiving. The space is very small and the skyline is only visible from certain areas.
Great place. Lots of fun. However, there didn't appear to be much alcohol in the drinks. We're lightweights and nothing affected us.
Had to wait a long time to be seated. I had a 2:00pm reservation and my party was not seated until 3:45pm
Fab, quirky place. Fun experience. My seat faced Empire State Building. Great vibe, will definitely be recommending it!
Rooftop experience was great especially since we got to sit in the carousel seats. What could use improvement is the service and cleanliness of glassware which was lacking. Our champagne flutes had some leftover food (possibly berries) stuck on them
Loved it ! Food, service, atmosphere were all great.
Although they could not find our reservation they still sat us immediately. Sadly it was raining but we still enjoyed ourselves. The service was excellent and the food was very tasty. The pancake stack is huge and worth it ! The egg sandwich was delicious and the breakfast combos were very good. Would like to go back next time in the city.
Always a good time at magic hour. Food is so yum, my team and I ordered all the plates available. Our fave was the honey chicken, the quesadillas were good also. The drinks are a bit pricey. We got the pouch and the jalapeño cocktails both good. But the jalapeño could have been a bit stronger considering the $17 price tag. But I’d go again this was my second time here. Did I mention they always have the best Djs. Great music.
The food was absolutely awful!! We got the chicken and waffles sharing portion. The waffle was cold and stale, it was so hard. They must have made it days ago and left it out and just threw it on the plate. The chicken was just as bad. It tasted kind of dirty. It was also almost inedible because the outside was so hard. I've never had fried chicken with that kind of outside. So terrible. We hardly ate it because it was inedible so we left there hungry and very disappointed. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
RJ ensures we had an excellent table. Olga was attentive, service with a smile. The crowd was beautiful, and music was bumping. Another great night at Magic.
Food was very good and presented well, but the experience was overshadowed by the fact that the service was slow, the chairs were uncomfortable, the menu was limited, and I paid $25 for a Caesar salad with a small piece of chicken sliced on top.
Nice view and good food. Upbeat and vibrant ambiance. Good drinks also.
No one helped us for 30 minutes so we left
The food is AMAZING, now marked as my second favorite brunch -food place in NYC. A bit pricey but DONT forget where you are and what’s around.... midtown with the view of the Empire State 😉
RUDE STAFF, MEDIOCRE FOOD.. you can find a lot better in NYC
Just what we were looking for to celebrate our anniversary.
Kind of expensive but a great experience, loved the pancakes!
