   We have been to Maestros a number of times and it is one of our favourite restaurants in Kelowna. Our current experience is an outlier. We were prepared for a busy experience and slower service as it was Mothers Day but unfortunately is was just too slow. The server was not attentive at all and seem quite inexperienced. We first ordered sparkling water and she did not bring it. We ordered a bottle of red wine and it took 40 minutes for it to be delivered, she opened it and we realized it was not the wine we ordered. The entres took over 1 hour and 10 minutes to be served. I had to find another server to ask where our food was. Food was great but the very slow service diminished the experience. We knew Mothers Day would be slow but arriving at 6:30pm and getting our entrees at 7:45 was far too slow.

   Very disappointing experience. We were seated in the bar area when we expected the dining room. After 15 minutes of being seated we still hadn’t been served. I asked the hostess if she could find our server, apparently there was some confusion as to who was our server. Long story short, it took over an hour to get our food, no one offered a drink or dessert to make up for the experience. We probably won’t return to Maestro’s.

   Spanakopita was the best I’ve ever had. The salad that came with it was also superb.. The pizza was excellent as usual.

   I reserved online for the $55.00 per person brunch on Mother’s Day. We arrived expecting a nice Mother’s Day with great food and ambiance on our selected time. We were placed in the dinning area and provided with a breakfast menu. As this isn’t what I signed up for, I asked my server that there must be a mistake. I mentioned to her upon my original reservation and what I signed up for, She said we had to walk over somewhere and it was probably full. We discussed it and although disappointed, we stayed and made the best of it. The restaurant and/or OpenTables description of the reservation wasn’t accurate for the event I promised my wife. We had dressed up and I wanted to treat her as she does a lot for our family. If I wanted to have breakfast, I would have had it at home. We were looking forward to the a le carte, short ribs, etc.

   Lovely atmosphere, very noisy though and found it cold due to continuous opening of outside door Pasta night is a very good deal

   First time I have ever had duck confit and waffles. It was excellent.

   The little chef's cooking experience was excellent; my kid loved it so much! The chef was very friendly and passionate about the kids. Please do more of these!

    We attended the Wednesday pizza night....the pies were excellent! Will come back for sure and recommend to others...thank you for a lovely evening.
