Maestro's at McGregor is a bistro-style restaurant that specializes in elevated seafood dishes. It is conveniently located at the Wilton Golf Club. The restaurant's spacious dining area features hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, modern artwork and comfortable seats. Maestro's is open for lunch between 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. and dinner is served from 4 p.m. onwards.
The menu at Maestro's offers a variety of upscale and lighter fare. Guests can enjoy salads, soups and sandwiches or dig into beef steak and fresh fish dishes. Begin the meal with appetizers like steamed clams, portabella fries or shrimp cocktail. For the main course try the popular sea scallops with blood orange buerre blanc or the classic Maine lobster roll.
It isn't Maestros anymore. Just a golf course bar.
Very unhappy - We had been to Maestro's on Broadway many many times and always had a great meal and a great experience. So when I saw Maestro's at McGregor online, I was happy as the Broadway location had closed earlier in the year. We brought some friends with us and were very disappointed. The "restaurant" is basically a place to get something to eat after golfing. Th menu was not even as it appeared on their website that same day!!! They are using the Maestro's name but otherwise there are no similarities
Terrible all together. Slow service, hair in food, Bill included items that they did not have. Skip it, wish we did.
The restaurant is a part of the bar for the golf course so clothing varies and there are three tvs over the bar. Food selection was alright. Flavor was very good, though not hot. Plan on $50 a person with one drink, an appetizer and dinner. We enjoyed the old clubhouse interior. Great windows were blocked by trees so there was no view from the window side seating. Wait staff was VERY attentive in a good way.
Food average, long wait for food and limited menu. Nice bar and very nice outdoor patio. Ample parking.
Beautifully decorated and the service excellent!
Food was "good" overall, with some dishes at the table being very good and others just fair. A couple special requests were confused by the server/kitchen but quickly corrected. I very much enjoyed the decor and atmosphere - bar was lively, dining room full and ballroom empty but added to a lovely ambiance.
Delicious food, pretty vistas and a fabulous and varied menu. A super "find" for anyone to enjoy, from a special party to couples or family dining.
Maria came along w/ Maestros from Broadway to McGregor & makes the experience exceptional. you can request her & should. Food was equally outstanding. Business guest was very impressed & the atmosphere proved what I had been assuring them that the Saratoga Region offers. Kudos to Blake for partnering with Maestros . The combination is ahhhhhmazing!!!!
A very pleasant, relaxing experience. We frequented Maestro's at their previous locations and are especially pleased to have them so close to home.
Food was overpriced for what is was. $32 for a previously frozen piece of steak and $14 for a kale salad with no kale in it. Service was excellent and very attentive.
Our first time at new location. We will definitely be back! Everything was excellent. Service very attentive, and food was perfect. Menu has a lot to offer and we are looking forward to a summer evening on their patio.
I so want to like this restaurant as it is in my neighborhood. There is no resemblance to the Maestro's I use to go and loved. Never had a bad meal there. Our waiter was not on top of things at all. My friend's food was not as ordered, when she mentioned it he just stood there. I don't mind paying for quality food for for $27 for the ahi tuna and $24 for chicken marsala I would think it would be special. My friend's tuna was good but not served as she requested. I ordered the chicken marsala, it was a dark brownish unattractive entree-a little chicken, swimming in this brown sauce and topped with noodles. There wasn't much taste at all. We received a basket of bread with 2 small rolls. The waiter never came back until the end. When he asked how it was I said it was alright but not great. He just kept in walking. Please, I know you have spent a lot of money on the place. But your wait staff needs to be trained by those who are demand quality. I do want you to succeed but I wouldn't hurry back.
If the service was on point... I'd for sure return, I'll get it another shot for sure.
Same excellent food as the "old" Maestros on Broadway, but much less ambience. It was very noisy. We were not offered bread to start and the chocolate seems to have been discontinued. Won't be in a hurry to go again.
I have never been disappointed in Maestro's. I hate to see this come to an end. My recent luncheon with friends was great.
Unfortunately, this restaurant will be closing on 11/14/15 due to being purchased. I am very sad and glad my husband & I were able to have lunch here one last time.
This was a very special place to us, and we will keep great memories of wonderful lunches at this place!
Staff, service, food and ambiance always wonderful!
Restaurant will be closing permanently after dinner service on November 14 2015.
We went to Maestros because we were following Chef Danny and his wife Patti. His food is outstanding. He loves to cook and create food that entertains the taste buds. Our waiter Ryan B was also amazing. He was very personable and also a "foody."
We always go to Maestro's when we are in Saratoga (5-6 times / year) and it keeps getting better. Ambiance and lighting are fantastic. The food was great. I had the swordfish special. The fish was tender and thick. The topping was fresh and had lively flavors. The short ribs did not even need a knife. Sauce was richly flavored and a wonderful complement to the short ribs. Can't wait to rreturn!
Food was uniformly well-prepared, presented and happily consumed! Outstanding!
The host and the waitress (Maria) were friendly, making us feel important and right at home. The food was good and the service exceptional. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for lunch.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food and service at Maestro's while visiting Saratoga.
This was our first visit to Saratoga Springs and the restaurant was recommended by a friend. He clearly knew what he was talking about: EVERYTHING was absolutely wonderful --from the seriously delicious meal to our server to the location! Thanks for a most enjoyable evening!
I have gone to this restaurant for 6 yrs and hosted my daughter's graduation lunch here. This experience the service was terrible. We had a reservation and were seated promptly but we sat for 25 minutes without anyone coming to the table, even to pour water. We asked several times for our waitress to appear and she never did. The hostess finally acted as our waitress as we were ready to walk out after 30 minutes of nothing. The food was good but not worth the aggravation and rudeness. The manager never came to address the issue either. In addition, had spoken to the manager earlier that day to inquire about a specific salad posted on their menu outside the door. He answered the questions but never told us it was no longer on the REAL menu. So on top of the poor service we couldn't order the salad we were hoping for.
This was our first time at Maestro's and it was lovely. We would definitely return the next time we are in Saratoga Springs. It was a very attractive and comfortable restaurant; the food was very good, as was the service.
Great food. Awesome service. One of the few restaurants I will eat at in Saratoga.
We are regular customers but we're disappointed in the service. Not up to what we have experienced previously. Seemed like they were short staffed.
Also, we did not receive bread or the usual chocolates and we were originally overcharged for the wine.
Not a good experience.
Wonderful dining experience in Saratoga! The food was excellent, ambiance comfortable and service exemplary. We'll be back!
Enjoyed my dining experience. Wait staff was courteous and very attentive. Menu had a variety of choices. I would definitely return and recommend it.
We were given a gift card to this restaurant. While it isn't our style to start with, it did feel a bit pretentious. We were excited to be able to splurge for once, but the waitress took away a little bit of the fun for us. She was not friendly, especially when I asked if there might be any other vegetarian options other than the 1 pasta entree. The music was great and the two bottles of wine were delicious. But the food itself was a bit disappointing, especially the chocolate cake for dessert. I just felt like this place was trying too hard to be something that it couldn't live up to.
This was our 1st visit to Saratoga Springs and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Veal Danny was the special and was outstanding. Portions were generous. Our waitress took the time to meet us and recommend activities for our Day 2 as well.
Good wine list and several beers on tap.
Butterscotch pudding was delicious.
Food quality is not as good as before.
Our server, Megan, was great! We were celebrating a birthday and a night out with no children. She let us take our time and really enjoy ourselves! Thanks for a wonderful evening!
We've never had a bad meal yet here. The food is always fresh and out of this world with flavor. The ambiance is nice inside or on the patio. Well worth the money for a meal here.
Our server was very knowledgeable and responsive. The meals were well presented and delicious. We love the new setting and decor.
My wife and I recently enjoyed a breakfast here on a Sunday. The server didn't take our order for some time. Yes, it was busy, but others were served faster. My wife's dish should have come with crostini bread ... it was served without any bread. Some one other than our server brought the food out; he should have know the content of all "plates on the menu" so that he could have recognized the omission back in the kitchen. Cold toast was brought some 15 minutes later. My own waffles were good, a little too toasted, however. The side of "Donovan potatoes" was missing sufficient Gruyere cheese to give it any taste.
We'll be back, but not rushing back.
We have eaten here each summer for more than five years and have been consistently impressed each time so have made it a regular stop when visiting saratoga. This time experience was mixed. Menu is good and nicely presented. Food overall was good but not exceptional. Veal chop special was very good but needed to be given price. Scallops were fine however what was described as lobster risotto to accompany was stodgy with little flavor and did nothing for the dish. Burarata appetizer was very good. Coconut pie was fine but nothing special. It could do with something other than a dollop of cream to accompany it. Wine options were good and well priced. Service was mixed. We had a reservation for a Saturday evening and arrived on time. There appeared to be open tables inside but we were still asked to wait at the bar for almost 15 minutes. Hostess was pleasant and apologized for the wait. Bar tender was good. Table service was not as good as prior visits. Our waitress seemed to be over trying including providing a rather dramatic rendition of the evening specials and at times over bearing including explaining everything she was doing including clearing cutlery. She also pretty much insisted on splitting our appetizer at the table - that really wasn't necessary. The interior decor seems a little dated. For a restaurant of this caliber, I would expect a more visible manager or more proactive maître d to at least check on each table. So all in based on this experience and considering the price and all the other good restaurants in Saratoga now this won't be our first option for future visits for dinner - we may give it another try on basis this may have just been an off night or try for brunch instead.
Maria was our server and was amazing! It was my birthday and she made it very special. Lobster scram and sausage sandwich was great. Delicious flourless chocolate cake too!
New menu was creative and well designed. Wahoo special was perfectly cooked. Service was superb given the extremely busy
Holiday. Wine list was thoughtful with many mid priced but well selected producers
