A wonderful take on middle eastern food - we chose the banquet and it was excellent !!

We ordered the banquet between 4 of us and although the food was tasty, there wasn't enough of it. We got 2 small starters and only 4 small potatoes (1 each) and a small salad to have with the main lamb dish. For dessert, we had to share 2 desserts between 4 of us (a single serve). My husband and I did not think we got value for money and were both left hungry. On the positive side, the service was good.

Food was nice but not memorable. It was very expensive for what we ordered. $14 Hummus? $45 lamb shank ("for two" but it would not feed two people). $50 per head without alcohol. Food was creative and tasty but for a casual restaurant across from ferry it does not justify the cost. Not surprising that on Thursday there were plenty of free tables. Manly could do with a solid Lebanese style restaurant but sadly this is not it.

This is the 3rd time I've been to Maestro & Co. In a world full of big capital/small chain/non-personal eating places I just love that Graeme the owner is front of house, host and overseeing and connecting with every table. I love the atmosphere, it's buzzy and full of all ages. It did seem a little dark this time, that is better than a little tooo light! Service is attentive, when the bread ran low in relation to the dips we were immediately offered more before we asked, the food in general absolutely delicious and I love the history Graeme shares with some of the plates. We were disappointed that the Maestro Mess dessert had run out, we'll just have to go back for more. Maestro & Co is clearly a labour of love and it shows in every aspect. Well done Graeme, Manly really needed a locals' local place and you've created it.

Arrived to find the owner using the table we reserved and had to wait while he moved. Doors and windows wide open on a cold night had to ask please to close. Friendly waitstaff but food an attempt to turn what should have been good basic Middle Eastern into a new-age, over-thought, expensive exercise with small portions . So not authentic at all. Would not recommend if you like traditional Middle Eastern, if you like authentic, simple cuisine, if you are someone who does not appreciate overly complicated food, if you want reasonable prices and portion sizes and you want to dine comfortably.

The place is ok the food was ok however very expensive .We were in 6 girls and ordered the banquet. $60/person and very little food was ok because we fill up with the bread and dips but if we had our partners would not be enough food. I was expecting more of typical lebanese food and lots of them.

Excellent food - it's great to see a modern take on traditional middle eastern dishes done so well. Super yum! Staff and owner are friendly and professional as well. I've been Maestro a few times now and each time it's been great.

Love this place. Not an extensive menu but the flavours are superb. The food is made for sharing, enjoy everything from the entree dips to mains lamb shoulder. Service is great with the owner checking and having a chat to go through some of the dishes and their origins. Can be difficult to get reservations at weekends due to the 2 sitting times only, no drop ins unless you are very lucky.

Lovely modern take on Lebanese cuisine. The lamb shoulder was a stand out dish and the specialty of the house. Loved the duck and the kibbe small plates.

great service and love the shared plate concept. Our waitress was terrific in talking us through how the menu worked and the food was hot and tasty.
