The service was extremely poor. When asked to speak to the manager, he was reluctant to speak with us. We asked for a card and he never had the courtesy to come back to the table. This was a birthday celebration. We will think twice before going back to the restaurant
Steak deal was good
Staff is outstanding from the front to the wait staff!
Excellent lunch as always. One of the best lunch menus and venues in Boca.
I had a 7:15 reservation at madisons made thru open table on saturday nite
We arrived and they told us we had to sit outside because during busy times that’s where open table patrons could sit. It was 90 degrees and we did not want to sit outside. They did not honor our reservation made thru your site. We ended up sitting at the bar which did not require reservations
Why didn’t they honor our reservation. We were not told in advance that if they were busy we would have to sit outside because we made reservation on open table
Waiter was terrific, foo delicious,we will come back soon
Sat near open kitchen
It was very disturbing since the male general manager keep yelling at a girl.
Good all around!
We had a delightful late lunch/earlly supper. Just the right time to go to a restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
We dine at Madisons frequently and always enjoy the experience. We especially like it because it is not as crowded as some local restaurants.
Consistently good food & service!
Food was good, but not exceptional. I had read on their website about their early bird that included a salad and 2 sides, available until 5:30. When we got there, we were told that they changed it to no salad, just one side, and ending at 5:00. The hostess told me that they hadn’t yet changed the website to reflect the new policy. Not a good business practice.
Beware that the Early Bird Menu posted on the website is not the same as currently offered at the restaurant. The menu on the website says you must be seated by 5:30pm. That has been changed to 5:00pm. We arrived at 5:15pm and were told we were too late. The manager allowed us to have that menu but only after we were scolded and told it was a one time only exception. Also the offerings on that menu previously included a salad and two sides. Now, the Early Bird menu includes only one side and a soft drink. Salad and a second side are now extra. Also the steak, which previously was a New York Strip steak on the Early Bird menu is now the "butchers choice". The server did not know what kind of steak was being served and was unwilling to run to the kitchen to find out. So two in our party gambled and got small petite sirloins. The servers should be briefed on this. Otherwise the food was tasty and served hot. As for atmosphere, we had been warned by friends to ask for a quiet location, and we were assigned to a table quite close to the noisy bar. When we asked the hostess to be relocated to one of the multitude of empty tables in the quiet section, we were ignored. Our server, however, was kind and moved us to a quieter location. The experience was frustrating overall, and I doubt that we will return
The French onion soup was overcooked - dried out, too thick. The green beans were too wet. The steak was great. Service was just OK, not as attentive as it should have been for a nite when the restaurant was not busy.
Came for my husbands birthday it was completely dead however took 15min just for water and bread
No good steak on the menu we went elsewhere
Great food, great drinks, great staff. For sure an older environment with the majority of visitors being 55+.
Not the most modern architecture as it makes you believe from the exterior of the building.
It is quite the niche experience
Food very good
Always enjoy the food and ambiance whether having dinner or just happy hour.
It was soo bad I don’t know that we’d really want to go back.
We were seated at a table that had people literally hanging over our heads. The noise was unbearable. We could not talk to each other as the conversations above us were so loud we New what they were talking about.
The waitress was very sweet and understood the problem and we asked the hostess to reseat us.
BUT, instead (we were 6) she seated a party of two at that very large table.
A short while late, while two in our party were still eating their salads, the waitress came to move us to a table in the bar area.
This was a LATE accommodation that really took away from what should have been a lovely evening out to dinner with friends.
MADISONS is a restaurant that we and our friends frequent
I must tell you, we were making plans with two other couples for later this month and when they suggested MADISONS, we responded
“Go without us, we’ll join you another night another place.”
This is a very sad commentary....please, in the future, when you have a party on the upper level, think twice about putting a group of six right under them.
Thank you for letting me be honest....I hope MADISONS can make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
This was a very disappointing experience. I made the reservation a week in advance to celebrate one of our friend's birthday. We arrived and there was large group of people around a table that had been set with a roulette and everybody in that group was standing around it. The sat us right behind the group. They were standing, chatting with drinks in their hands, and making it difficult for the waiters to pass by and take care of other customers, us included. We couldn't have a conversation. They were making a lot of noise. There must have been close to 30 people in that group. Food was god, as usual. Our waitress did the best she could, and we appreciated her, but when we were leaving we asked to speak to the manager. When he came, we told him we were disappointed. That they should have contained the group somewhere where they didn't inconvenience the rest of the diners, but his reaction was not even a 'sorry for your inconvenience', nothing apologetic. He just shrugged and looked at us as if "tough, nothing I could do". Not happy, not happy at all!
The Tuna Steak was amazing and the service was great
The grilled octopus appetizer is amazing - a must every time we go to MADISONS. Great staff and good value. Our party of 6 thoroughly enjoyed the food and ambiance.
Food was good with plentiful portions
Waiter was a bit stiff and didn’t seem to have any answers to questions.
Maybe he was new.
Seats are comfortable.
We ate at 7 so happy hour was over and place was not jammed
Wonderful lunch with great service by Lucas.Very well run restaurant with very good food and service .
Just ok food was nothing special
It has become very disappointing to select some entrees from the menu as they are small sized portions which high price tags. The steaks with bones have been eliminated, the French dip was very fatty, the pork chop (singular) was on the menu as pork chops and priced at $ 33.00. When we questioned it, we were told they do it by weight, so the one chop was said to be 10 or 12 oz. (I forget) - however, it was not quite that size. Our weekly visit (I still love the onion soup) will change and unless the menu changes and other things, our attendance will also change.
Shared the octopus appetizer. So good we fought over the last bites. I had a Beautifully prepared beet goat cheese salmon salad for the main course and my companion a large chopped salad. We shared a rich desert. An excellent meal!
We were pleasantly surprised at the variety of food from salads sandwiches and burgers to steaks and fish. Some of the food like fish was reasonably priced and quite delicious. However, the prime rib sandwich was tasty but quite pricy for the size for the sandwich. The service, however , was outstanding. We had a young child with us and the staff was very attentive and caring
Spairibs and trout. I sent the trout back had a heavy fish smell, I ordered the steak salad with dressing on the side, came with the dressing on the salad. Was very disappointed I. Overall experience
Good but not great, a couple of dishes came to the table and were sent back. Would try again
Server and manager very attentive. Ate outside with happy hour pricing. Steak dinner an excellent value. Inside a little noisey
We had a lovely lunch. There were a lot of nice choices to pick from and we enjoyed our choices. The service was quick, efficient and very pleasant.
The waitstaff was all talk no action... food was delivered incorrectly...of 4 meals ordered no one was satisfied...we were all disappointed
Had trout fishy had to send it back otherwise everything was fine.giant shrimp cocktails excellent
Service was attentive and food was simple but good. My dish was a grilled Idaho trout which was tasty, just done with some herbs, lemon and oil. Steamed veggies were boring, but rice was nicely flavored. We arrived at 6:00 to an empty restaurant, but by seven it was full, though not particularly noisy. As the sun got lower and started to get into our eyes, a waiter came over without being called, and offered to lower the blind. I appreciated that considerate touch. This is a great place to grab an early dinner before a movie at the nearby complex.
Waiter was pretty much absent. Food quality only average. Have been on many occasions. Everyone entitled to an off night, I guess.
We come every year a couple of times to Boca and Madison’s is the only place we go! All of us love everything about it! The food is consistently excellent perfectly prepared, and no matter who our server is they are always very well-trained and pleasant.
Megan was not a very accommodating waitress. I have been here several times before and never felt as this. She seemed a bit aloof , sorry to say!
Great service. Food is consistently good. Very pleasant all around.
Had a terrific meal - and completely enjoyed the bar scene - they have my new Favorite Vodka - Fifty States Vodka - and Lexi the bartender was amazing!
