TOO NOISY. FOOD IS MEDIOCRE AND SERVICE WAS AUTOMATIC.

Cozy haunt near Grand Central. Good food and atmosphere. Will be back!

Fast and very efficient service. Tasty pasta dish, perfect after a long flight. Moderately noisy. Good menu and very convenient location.

Late lunch .... Great Vine Burgers and Chicken Paillard. Super service and a refreshing Pinot Grigio. Daughter especially enjoyed the fresh orange juice and lemonade combo. Would happily visit again when in NYC.

Chose Madison & Vine due its proximity to Grand Central Station. Have had the food previously when stayed at Library Hotel but this was first time dining in the restaurant. Could not hear myself think. Tables are too close together and the noise level was off the charts. Food and service were good but could not enjoy due to cramped table and noise.

Always enjoy the lunch menu. Good select of wine by the glass. Looking forward to trying breakfast.

We got together for a colleague's birthday in my office. The place was very noisy, so if you want to talk it's not a perfect place to go. The food took a very very long time to come out, considering it is a small restaurant and not that many tables. We kept having to ask when our meal was coming. They did come around and refill iced tea glasses often. When food came, it was good.

This was our first visit to Madison & Vine, which we picked because it is close to Grand Central Station. Both my friend and I enjoyed our lunch meals, and the service was great: attentive but not hovering. I would go again.

Staff was friendly but the place is small and very crowded and the noise level can get painful.
The food was okay although portions were small. Crab cakes were Devine and the wine list was good.

I've been to Mdison & Vine on several occasions, mostly for dinner and drinks.
The atmosphere is appropriate for business and upscale drinks after work.
This is the first time I've been here for an afternoon business occasion; three out of the five guests ordered a light lunch as it was a late afternoon and rushed for time. My order came out wrong, and disturbed our flow of conversation. The server was not quick in getting our check; I would think kktwice about going there during the day, but have always enjoyed evenings.

I really enjoyed the food here and the atmosphere was very nice. The only complaint I have, is that my friend and I weren't "drinking" so we both ordered seltzer water with lime. I asked if I could have an extra large glass... and at the end they charged me for 2 soft drinks for my large glass. My friend's was $4 for a small sparkling water and mine was $8 for a large sparkling water... really? When it comes down to it, it's water. I thought that was excessive. I'm a big fan of refillable soft drinks and I understand that they would want to charge me more for a larger glass... but double?

There are better, more affordable places in the area. The restaurant was empty when I was there. Service was prompt. However, water glasses and coffee were not filled unless I flagged the server down.

My dish tasted a little sour, as though ingredients were a little past their prime.

Nice people. Wife and I had simple dinner splitting kale salad, macaroni, and a burger washed down with drinks from the bar. Just right

Food was ok, overpriced for what it was. Vibe wasn't as exciting as expected.

They never fail to please at Madison & Vine; we're so fortunate to have them in the neighborhood! Always a warm and gracious staff, accommodating our seating requests, and the food arrives hot and quickly… ideal for making the 8:00 curtain!

Good menu, good food. Service was all or nothing. When they were on they were very very on but when they were not on, you could wait long minutes in a void of attention--even with a nearly empty restaurant.

Drinks and bar is really good here. Funny enough their burgers are actually really good and always a delight to get with the truffle fries.

The entire staff of Madison & Vine was welcoming, attentive, and professional. Our brunch was delicious. That said, I particularly would like to commend manager Michael Ferguson who went above and beyond my expectations in preparing a special birthday dessert for my brunch guest. He was the perfect host throughout our meal. Michael made our birthday brunch a very special experience. Well done, Michael. Well done, Madison & Vine. We will be back.

Second visit there. Food and service were very good. Nice place to meet for lunch

This was a lovely discovery that we made while staying in the city for the weekend. It was a quick walk for our hotel and perfect for a nice dinner with old friends. Bar was great- highly recommend the red sangria. Food was excellent and wait staff attentive. Overall a great experience.

Food was great, but value was low. Portions were small for what we got. Restaurant noise level suggests the place is much more of a bar scene than a restaurant. It was VERY loud. Would not go back if i'm meeting with friends I haven't seen in a while bc it was hard to 'catch up'.

We really appreciate the food , and the atmosphere but we have gone to this restaurant regularly , midday and evening, and even if you reserve, which we do, you will not get a nice table away from the cold door, even if you ask twice the ladys at the entry . Secondly, the noise level is not to be called energetic but definitely too loud to be able to have any continuous conversation.
Our table service was quite good and he tried his best, but the chairs are arranged in a way the servide team will always push your chair or disturb you in any way while passing through, which is not their fault but does not improve your well being. The ladys at the entry would not move a finger to help or accomodate you in any way.
Thus, sadly, we would not recommend this restaurant any more, which is a pity as it is nicely designed and the food is really above average and original.

Food was good. Service was slow at times. Water glass needed refilling several times but server didn't notice so had to flag him down.

Excellent wine, food and service. Bustling spot with nice lighting. Not too loud, perfect amount of energy. Our waitress left us alone as we caught up and drank wine and it was excellent. Looking forward to the next time.

Table was not ready upon arriva

It was our second visit to M&V and the food and service was every bit as good as the first time. We like to visit here annually in fall/winter when coming to NYC-Midtown area for local attractions. Server was very knowledgeable on both drink and food offerings and the other staff equally as friendly. Portion sizes are decent and prices a nice value for a venue of this caliber in NYC. Tables and bar seating are cozy and conducive to great conversation.

Cute place near 42nd St Library - went for quiet Thanksgiving dinner for 2. Wait staff were cheerful & attentive, especially so despite working the holiday. Turkey dinner was spot on. No frills - bargain entree with traditional sides at excellent price. Would go back & try again if in the area.

We ate here for a quick bite before seeing a concert at MSG, as we were staying at the Library Hotel. We each had the burger which was a very good burger. Service was good. Wine offerings also good. No beers on tap which was the only odd thing. Good for a quick bite, and highly rrecommend the Vibe burger.

I give this an “outstanding” for food because the short rib hash with egg is outstanding. We were given a perfect table by the window and the service was great.

The food was amazing...well, except for the creme brûlée; it was not creamy, it tasted a little over cooked. But everything else was fantastic!
