My wife and I had an early Sunday Brunch as part of Library Hotel package deal. We were early (10am) and restaurant was empty - but service was friendly and quick. She had eggs benedict with vegetables and thought it was delicious. My far less complicated bagel with cream cheese and salmon pastrami was pretty Meh. Salmon was a little dry, there was way too much cream cheese, and the bagel was only partially toasted and really mediocre. How is it possible to serve a crappy bagel in NYC? Final score 1-0 Wife wins easily.
Phenomenal. Had my eye on this place for a year each time I’m in the City. Finally went and will be back tonight. WOW. Great menu and fantastic value with a wonderfully different wine list
definitely liked the restaurant. friendly waitress, good food and nice ambience. To be repeated!
A friend and I were there for lunch on a Thursday. There weren't that many customers so that might be the reason why it was so quiet. I've been there for dinner before and it was bustling without being overly noisy. This time I ordered the grilled salmon on squash and it was super yummy. Service was polite and attentive without being intrusive. We mentioned we had a time constraint and they helped us figure out what worked from the menu for our timing. Restaurant is clean with nice ambience. It doesn't try too hard while creating a comfortable classy atmosphere.
Excellent service, friendly staff. Both my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our drinks, food and desserts.
Delicious food and friendly service. Perfect place to stop near Bryant Park & the New York Public Library
The atmosphere was cozy and quiet. The staff were friendly and welcoming. the Food is delicious. I had the Mac and Cheese and a glass of white Burgundy. The portion was large. The quality of the food is high. A nice place for a glass of wine, a bit to eat, and a relaxing place to rest and chat with friends.
Fantastic service. We had the most amazing server. She was truly great. Also, the food was fantastic. Everyone in our group loved their food. Lovely experience.
Brilliant little restaurant great friendly service and lovely food.
Great brunch spot - definitely make a reservation with Open Table as this is a popular spot. It is next to/attached to the Library Hotel near Bryant Park / NYC Public Library.
Highly recommend the Eggs Benedict and the truffle fries! Their bottomless mimosas are a good deal as well.
Staff were helpful and welcoming. Tuna, mushroom appetizer and salmon meals were very good. The chicken was without flavor or interest.
We met friends visiting from Vermont at Madison & Vine for brunch. We chose the "Bottomless Brunch" option which includes Mimosas and Bloody Mary's. All of our meals were delicious and the servers were very attentive and pleasant. They kept our drinks flowing and food was served quickly. The restaurant got very busy but the servers kept up and we never felt rushed or pressured to leave. Great place!
Friendly service and good food. No tea selection, which was odd.
Everything was perfect!
Great corner table, excellent service, fabulous food and wine!
Beautifully decorated for the season...
The service was slow and the order was incomplete.
I had called and you told me that you would be having heaters outside. There were none... You checked for vaccinations - very good. You have no children's menu.
We were having a family reunion (just the 4 of us) and the staff was perfect.
The food was just ok, not exceptional.
Again, the service was wonderful. Your restrooms were clean.
Convenient, tasty, and attractive; a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
No one picked up the phone, but it was easy to instantly reserve a table online. We had an excellent time. These days we split prosecco/champagne splits, so wine by the glass doesn't work for us any more.
Always a pleasure to hold business lunches there, food is great and ambience is perfect for a casual business lunch
Food and service were okay, but far from special. The thing that bothered me is that there were lots of empty tables, but we were all right next to each other. There was plenty of room to spread out the groups. Every time someone sat down/got up, our chairs/tables were bumped. And we were so close to other tables, I could hear the details of their conversations. It was far from a relaxing environment.
Loved it overall. However, I won’t give it five stars because the tables are WAY TOO CLOSE together. It’s basically one communal table. Literally only a couple inches apart from each other.
Good overall food
Really nice place. We had a problem with the server, as she was new, and not really being guided by anyone else. The food was very good. Cute place.
One of the meals was perfect, the other was cold from sitting too long. It too 75 minutes from the time of our order to the arrival of food.
The tables were too close together, we are talking about 4 or 5 inches between each of four or five tables for two, so that means your conversation is basically open to the people on each side of you and vice versa.
I ordered the lollipop lamb. There is more meat on a McDonalds happy meal hamburger than on all 4 or 5 lollipops together. Terrible value for the money. There were 3 or 4 asparagus spears which were cooked perfectly and a hash brown pie slice which tasted okay. All of that food was maybe an appetizer size if you put it all together.
My wife ordered a side salad which was a spring mix which my wife didn’t care for and it was all lettuce.
My wife ordered the Mac&Cheese and she said it was good.
Her mixed drinks were $16 each which I thought was excessive, my beer was $9 which I assume is the going rate for New York.
We had tiramisu the day before which was excellent.
Service was pretty good, I had to flag the waiter down for a refill, the food was delivered promptly.
Over all my meal was not a good value, but sitting at the bar might have been better.
Love the location and ambiance.
Great breakfast though somewhat pricey but good for business breakfast.
Needed dinner after a long flight. Didn’t expect much and got exactly that. Good martini followed by some recently frozen s
One of our meals arrived tepid in a cold dish. The service was slow so we didn't send it back.
Went for Sunday brunch. Quite good! Nice intimate place.
Excellent last minute dinner. Was hoping for a dessert menu though…
We were packed in like sardines right by the door. We ate with our coats on because there were huge gusts of wind every time someone opened the door, which was often.
Took 30 minutes to get the mimosa I ordered for their bottomless brunch... barely squeezed in a second before they started to clear the tables. They kept apologizing for being short staffed but come on orange juice isn't complicated.
The food was a disappointment. 1/2 the plate was a giant slice of sourdough bread. The rest was the omelet, which was mediocre. They gave me french fries (thought it came with home fries) which was odd for a brunch dish.
Definitely not going back.
Food and service outstanding. Would definitely return.
Noise level high, a little hard to hear my dining companions.
Very slow service and therefore the food was served at room temperature, keep in mind when ordering.
Relatively reasonable for NYC. Food was really so so, probably had the most sub-par fruitti de mare (usually good in any decent restaurants) I had in years. My companion's Bolognese pasta was okay. Beer was great. Service is very good.
Incredible service and wonderful meal! The ambiance was perfect, a gem in NYC for sure!
Love this place!
Just all around good
The food and wine were very good, the only issue here was the lack of knowledge from our waiter on what type of oysters were being served. We asked he said they are from Long Island Blue something. My wife likes the smaller oysters so we said no thank you. On the way out we saw the oysters they were tiny like the Beau Soleil she loves. Next time check and stop rushing. Know your menu, the food is very good but let the customer know what you have don’t guess because you are jumping table to table. Our only fault with the restaurant.
