Finest food in Des Moines, located near the Marina Madi's Steakhouse! The building in which the Madi's resides was built in 1935 and was the first gas station and auto repair shop in town. It also served as housing for the Des Moines fire trucks until 1952. The building was rebuilt in 2008 and transformed into a restaurant preserving—even recapturing—the building’s original look from the 1930s. Madi's features aged Oregon steaks, and many other quality dining options. Our menu is table d'hôte, you will not find an a la carte menu here. The Food and Service at Madi's steakhouse will delight you!

Maddys was a great place to meet with coworkers for happy hour. There was a diverse menu and fast and friendly service. I would definitely go back again so that I could try other items on the menu.

Madi's is a must!! We had friends out for dinner and decided to try Madi's. What a treat. Madi's makes the best martinis, hands down. The stroganoff was amazing, the seabass topped with a refreshing mango salsa was cooked to perfection, and the tenderloin steaks exquisite. The wedge salads were crisp and the portions plentiful. The seafood soup was flavorful and full of seafood. The meal was topped off with slices of incredible pecan pie. The price is very reasonable. The service impeccable. Everyone was making plans to return.

My friend and I dined early on a Tuesday night, so it was fairly quiet. The service was attentive and the food overall was very good. The only complaint was that my friend ordered a medium rare steak and got a steak with no pink in it.

Prompt, friendly service. Good food. Good drinks. Nice variety. Steaks a bit overpriced but other menu items very reasonable. Will be going back.

Service was phenomenal. Cameron was our server and he was the best. Friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, but the service was way above. We will be back!

Food was just ok. Service was very slow and it was almost empty, so no reason. Hostess/waitress was drinking a beer. Our server gave a beer to the cook, or someone in the kitchen while at the same time telling them to hurry up with our food. We will not be back

The service could have been much better. It was obvious they were short handed but I feel a great restaurant would never show that. We sat for a quite a while waiting for our order to be taken.

Madis has taken over the location that was previously The Scotch and Vine. The ambiance is still great and they have updated the booths. The service was excellent, the Scotch and Vine never had good service so the friendly communicative attitudes were a pleasant surprise. The bartender made fabulous cocktails and I am seldom happy with my drinks when I go out. Finally, the food was a bargain! They have a $25 four course meal option that is a steal—I’m guessing it’s a promo until they build up a following. Overall very, very pleased with our visit, will definitely be back.

Great food in a quiet atmosphere. Madi's is a gem. Great steaks as well as a selection of seafood dishes and comfort foods.
