The eatery is named after Madeline Shields, mother of the owner, who lost her battle with cancer. Today, Maddy's offers food and drink specials, donating 100% of the profits from these creations to cancer research. Diners can eat and drink knowing they are simultaneously giving to a great cause. The menu starters are mainly quintessential bar food. Guests can order bacon cheddar fries, Maryland crab dip, jumbo grilled wings, classic nachos, chicken quesadillas and loaded potato skins, just to name a few. Entrees are mostly sandwiches and burgers, including the chicken club with applewood smoked bacon, Swiss cheese, avocado, chipotle ranch, lettuce and tomato. Maddy's has over 50 national and craft beers for diners to try, including 18 on tap.
