   Inappropriate plate for what I ordered. Eggs should have been plated separately in a shallow bowl or other receptacle as I ordered poached eggs and they ran all over the rimless plate. Also eggs got cold as hot sauce I requested at the time of ordering did not come with my poached eggs and I had to ask for it; salt and pepper shaker/grinder were empty. Latte was not up to par and mocktail was unimpressive.

    We very much enjoyed our meal at Madam. The food was great. There were just a few things that detracted from our experience. First, our waitress told us we had to order our appetizer and our main course at the same time and then would not split the bill into two checks and the end of the meal. These are not hallmarks of fine dining and leave the diner feeling let down. I wish there was a third choice in terms of whether I would refer the restaurant to a friend because I would say, "maybe" versus "yes" or "no".

    Attentive, but not intrusive service. Modern American cuisine with a global twist. Very tasty choices in smaller portions. Modern restaurant design with high ceilings. Can be noisy, as only a curtain separates restaurant and bar.

    The cost was exorbitant and the menu was minimal. The brunch menu was not to my liking at all; I was interested in supper.

    We came for Mother's Day brunch. Waited 15 minutes after being seated and finally had to go up to the desk to inform them we were still waiting for a server to approach our table. Service was fine afterwards so hopefully not a common issue. Food presentation was beautiful and lamb Benedict was delicious however edges for the French toast and avocado toast were as hard as bricks and I felt myself having to stab at it to slice through. Had higher expectations for this restaurant.

    Visiting from out of town. Took my wife and mother there for Mother's Day. Disappointed in the service and food. Very average food and below average service. I have had better food and experienced much better service in other restaurants in the Detroit market. Too bad really, I had high hopes.

    Wanted to love it! Drinks were ok. Server was delightful but VERY slow. Food reviews from the table were underwelming; ranging from not good to ok. Steaks were tough, cooked way over the temperature requested, and lacked flavor. Appetizer rolls were hard on ths bottom and accompanying butter was almost too hard to cut and spread. Octopus amd accompanying pea puree left much to be desired in the flavor department. The brussel sprouts were great and the fries were ok. LOVED the ambiance. All of the staff was courteous and kind.

    Service was terrible. Extremely slow and inattentive. Salmon was fishy, slimy and undercooked. Chicken was dry and flavor was disgusting.. The restaurant was beautiful, but I will not eat there again .

    I would expect in a fine dining place to have a proper sommelier. The waitress wasn’t knowledgeable enough and neither was the manager that she called to help us. The service could have been better, neither the hostes or the waitress weren’t up to the high standard of the place. The special dish of the evening - vegetable risotto - was too salty. Other than that the food was delicious, all the dishes and appetizers.

    The service was great, however, the steak was bad. Completely over cooked. Rubber steak. Highly disappointed for an “upscale” restaurant like this to serve such a poorly cooked steak. Will not be recommending. Was not compensated for the overcooked meal either.
