MAD HOUR
$2 off signature craft cocktails. $1 off craft beer cans and draft. "Mad Hour" food menu available between lunch and dinner service only.
This was for my daughters birthday who is turning 22. She loves Alice and Wonderland and the Mad Hatter and the cat. We dressed up and had lunch and came back for tea , scones, and crumpets. The restaurant looked a little run down. It needed a lot of improvements on the main level. We loved the Rabbit hole. The tea and the food was great, loved that they had gluten free. That loves of stuff were vegan. Thanks to Jason D for amazing service.
The idea was idealic. But the bistro fell short sadly. The prices were high, bit expected for the area. The food was put together very well. Flavor was uniquely delightful. It all was underwhelming sadly. Granted I didn't order the full tea party experience, but besides the menu words there wasn't a theme emersion I expected. It felt like a standard downtown type bistro.
I WILL be going back to experience the full tea party, but my first time lacked that full emersion I was expecting.
We had a fantastic brunch with some of the best drinks I've ever had. The Garden Collins was especially good and the Build Your Own Eggs Benedict is my go to meal for this place. I have never enjoyed a poached egg before eating here. Thank you for an awesome time and we will see you again soon!
The atmosphere was excellent and such a fun place for a weekend brunch! I would suggest that they update their brunch menu online as my husband and I drove an hour to have brunch there and looking forward to try the Superman pancakes and that is no longer on the menu.
Over charged, burger was undercooked. Not the best, better places out there.
I went for my birthday because I love all things Alice in Wonderland and it didn’t disappoint. My waiter was amazing and the theme was perfect.
Very cute, unique place. Nice staff that were knowledgeable and attentive. Best Caesar salad I’ve ever had. Brussel sprouts were delicious, as were the Happy Hour cocktails.
I was very excited to try out the Mad Hatter Bistro after following their social media accounts for a long time and seeing all the hype. Super super super cute place, looks straight out of Alice In Wonderland. The brunch cocktails were very good, I would highly recommend going there for cocktails. The food and service however, not so much. I got BYO Benedict and it was very bland, disappointing to say the least. Especially since I upgraded 4 items. My friends eggs weren’t cooked right and she was charged for hash that came with the meal? Our server was also behind the bar and very busy. It was very hard to get service, we had to get up from our table a few times to get service from anyone. I understand being short staffed but it would have been nice of them to inform us. Probably won’t go back anytime soon.
The mad Hatter bistro was a great experience, the ambience was great and the food and service were excellent!
Awesome expression martini. Great service and food
Christmas presents to our mother
It was the start of my Birthday month!
Our waiter was the owner and he was amazing. He recommended several different options and none of them disappointed. Appetizers we had the Baked Brie and we had to try the PB&J wings. Both were amazing and the Brie just melts in you mouth. Our dinner was just as good, we had the salmon and the chicken and neither disappointed.
The atmosphere was very nice and so many things to look at. Definitely can be casual for dinner, we dressed up and felt a little over dressed. We walked downstairs and explored the Rabbit Hole which is another seating area. We will be going back for sure and would love to take the girls for tea time!
Service was slow and the food was horrible
This was a perfect start to our anniversary date. We had wonderful brunch with crafted mimosas and entertaining staff. Would definitely recommend.
Our first time going was not a great experience but we wanted to give it one last shot for lunch today. Terrible. The service here is a joke. An hour and a half for lunch? Unacceptable. As soon as you walk in the door you will are a long list of hand written “rules”. These rules look tacky and unprofessional handwritten on printer paper taped together. With the rules right in your face as soon as you walk in they make it clear they don’t want you here. Incredible unwelcoming. The rules state that you must be quick and not take up the table. What a joke of place. Service is awful and they make it clear they do t care if you feel welcomed or have a good time. We gave it two tries but will never be back. What a joke of place!
I’ll say it every time... Sean, Kiera, and the entire team at Mad Hatter are the absolute best in the business. Incredible food. Clever, outstanding cocktails. Impeccable customer service. They make me feel like family, like a little celebrity. I will always go there when I have a special occasion, and I will always try to find time just to drop in and have a meal or a drink. Five stars. 11 on a scale of 10. Every thumb up. I love this place and I love the staff.
Only one problem with the food. The deep fryer for the fish needs to be changed more frequently. The fish was quite brown and the fish smell from the oil is overpowering.
The food and service is excellent. If your going to enjoy the decorations, use the downstairs area. The bar atmosphere upstairs during the day is a little drab and a lot of parlor small table seating. It's probably lit up in the evening I was there for lunch. I was expecting more elegance in decor, it needs a facelift?
Great way to spend the last night in my 20’s. My cousin and I were equally impressed with the whole experience. Will be coming back again.
Only one waitress for about 6 tables. Coffee was cold. Y the time I got it
Our meal was excellent, though their desserts were not as good.
Had a very pleasant afternoon tea and scones, a little disappointed by the use of teabags, was expecting loose tea in a pot, but the tea was very nice and a good choice.
Great place and service
We might come back to try lunch or dinner. Just seemed very pricey and the flavors were not fully there. Left me feeling a bit sick afterwards.
We were led to a basement area even though we had reservations (which normally keeps you in the nicer upstairs area). It was a bit cold and dusty. Neat area - but not at all ideal for a date night.
The drinks took 25 minutes to get.
Our server was wearing Crocs and a backwards hat. Looked like he should have been washing dishes rather than taking orders.
Normally I would recommend this place - but it was a pretty bad overall experience.
Good food. Cool atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Really enjoyed it!
The food was very good and the specialty cocktails were fantastic. Service was good. The server was attentive but not interactive. First time at Mad Hatter. I guess I expected more ambiance. It's basically a neighborhood bar (with good food). I would recommend going. Ill be going back.
During my second visit to Mad Hatter Bistro we arrived for a 6:30 opentable reservation. The restaurant was virtually empty, on the first floor.
It took 45 minutes for my friend, the birthday girl, to get a drink. After 85 minutes our food was delivered only to discover that all of the food was cold. All of the cold dishes were taken away and replaced with 3 fresh hot dinners. Trouble was there were four of us dining.
The manager Sean came to the table to explain why the fourth dinner wasn't delivered. When I tried to interject to correct his misinformation about what had happened, he closed his eyes, shook his hands up and down like a toddler on a tantrum and barked at me.....LET ME FINISH!
It was disappointing to be treated so poorly by Sean after having such a bad food quality experience. Faith was our server and she was delightful and doing her best. She was the only server, that we could see and our service delay was due to their lack of service staff.
We won't be coming back again, based on this experience.
Service was extremely slow. Took forever to get our drinks.
The place was maybe 1/3 full. Lots of empty tables. My friend arrived earlier than me. She orders a simple drink and waited nearly 25 minutes for it to be served. Wait staff was never present seemed to disappear and not check on tables. While the place has a huge potential wit. It’s unique ambiance it appears to be dirty. We did not order food As our waiter said they were short staffed and things took a while. He told us this only after we asked. Thank goodness we did. I will not go back. Too bad
Made reservations for 2:30 pm for Afternoon Tea for my daughters 23rd birthday. Arrived, was told we would not be able to participate in the tea. Chef came out and said we could be accommodated, so we waited awhile. Wait staff came back out and said the tea room was being set up for dinner so we would not be able to have the afternoon tea. Very disappointed as we hoped to both see the tea room and participate...
My husband and I had brunch and the breakfast burger and the burger was the size of mini slider. Sent it back to get a bigger burger it came back out still little. It was about the size of a pepperoni. Sad. But I won’t lie it taste good. But I won’t be back
Fantastic! It was a first time dining experience for us and it didn't disappoint. Drinks were on point, scallops and crab cakes were amazing and bring was delicious. Definitely coming back soon.
It's not really for children. More of a bar. Limited menu. Wait staff forgot 3 of our items due to failing to writing it down.
A very fun, interesting place for girlfriend outing. It's an hour away but worth every mile. Fascinating decor. Menu different but interesting. We did the tea & scones before cocktails, then our meal. I look forward to returning for another wonderful experience.
Overprice food
Cheap looking
Not was hoping for. For the area want an upscale place for lunch. I drove a hour to get there. Both my friend and I were disappointed.
Great atmosphere and great food! Our server was fantastic.
Super fun girl time. Highly recommend the Tea. Never had crumpets before. Did not disappoint.
My GF and I went for brunch before a day of shopping in the area, the server was fantastic and the food was really good too.
