The first to truly put the provenance and sustainability of our product at the front and centre of our ethos; with Chicken Done Proper.     The food is always amazing but it’s so cold. We had to leave as my partner has Raynauds and was starting to lose feeling in his hands cos of the cold - we moved tables to try a “warmer” spot. But it was just too cold.

    Food was good.Customer service could be a bit more attentive but overall friendly staff based on the little interaction. The beer we had was room temp so that was slightly annoying.Be careful booking after 8 as they close at 9.

    Food excellent. We were sat at a dirty table had to ask for it to be cleaned. Once they took our food order never saw them again. No check back to see if everything was okay or if we needed anything. Lots of the staff , off duty /day off huddled at the counter just talking to other staff on Duty paying zero attention to customers . I work in restaurants have done for over 30 years in Dublin, NY, London, Manchester. Service at the Mad Egg used to be exemplary. Now you just get the feeling you are disturbing these guys. We were going to have dessert and coffee , which would have bumped up the bill by about 30/40 quid ...we just went elsewhere . We've come from Wexford and Kildare for the past 5 + years to eat at the Mad Egg the food is still worth travelling for and delicious but the service was unfortunately not good. Not good at all.

    We love this place, the waiters/waitress are always friendly, the food is always amazing and a good value for money too. Would recommend Mad Egg to everybody. The chicken used to be free range before, not sure if this is still the case but it is still a very good place to visit.

    Amazing food, great staff, could not say enough good things. We travelled specifically from Belfast for mad egg and it is 1000% worth it. Easily the best chicken I've ever had. We need mad egg up north!

    Food was absolutely delicious, but were told when we ordered our dessert that the restaurant was shutting so we’d have to take it in a takeaway bag. Didn’t mind so much having takeaway except for the fact it was 9pm, we’d waited quite a while for our plates to be cleared, and the dessert was just a cheesecake so no prep time for them. When we got the cheesecake back we’d been given the wrong toppings and all the chocolate dipping sauce had set.

    We were met with very helpful staff who explained the menu to us as it was our first time dining here. Every staff member was enthusiastic and happy to help. Food was absolutely excellent and the selection of sauces available from common to niche was incredible.

    Really good from start to finish. Staff were attentive but not too overbearing, food was tasty and part of the clean plate club. Chicken was really juicy, breading/batter on both burgers was crispy. Sauces really blended well with the dressings. They have 'crack' tatter tots - a very apt description.
