   Went for lunch yesterday with my elderly father & my son. Food & service were great but the restaurant was freezing cold had to leave coats on whilst we were eating - saw many other visitors having to do the same. Better heating would definitely make me come back again, at the min I wouldn't recommend it as the whole time I was freezing.

   We had a really bad experience in Mad Egg. From the beginning our table wasn’t ready we had to wait 15 minutes as it was given away. We waited around 35 minutes for our food to arrive . The food arrived before our drinks and cutlery. Which we had to wait another 5 minutes for. The food was very poor. My partner didn’t eat his burger. The restaurant wasn’t busy but the staff just seemed to ignore us. Overall very poor and we will not be returning.

    Really enjoyed our meal. Food was excellent, staff were pleasant and friendly but seemed quite under pressure. Service was a little slow as well but not too big of an issue. Would come here again.

    Food is ok, a bit greasy (I know fried chicken) but very oily. Extremely loud like could not hear the person I was with.

    Nice ambience,nice staff...enjoyed my visit. Meals themselves need maybe a spruce up. Everything was a bit overdone and there were no veg options...they are not hard to add to the menu.

    I really liked the antmosphere . The staff were excellent . The food was delivered to our table about 6 minutes after we ordered . The food its self was really nice but the chips were a tiny bit too oily for my liking but my chicken tenderes was delightful. I would without a doubt go back agian . The food was good value for money . I would not order the chips again though!! Thank you so much for your service!!

    First time eating here and really enjoyed. Really tasty chicken tenders with a delicious batter and the fries were lovely aswell. Will definitely be back

    The food was lovely. But we were waiting over an hour for our food which ruined our experience. I would go back for the food but probably would get a takeaway due to service from staff. The service was slow and not attentive

    Was so slow. The food took about 50 minutes, they only served half of the meal as they were delayed. Didn’t come at all in the end by the time we finished. The seating area was beside the door and they kept the door open. Was so cold . However the manager did approach us to offer a free dessert as the delay in food she noticed. We never complained and were grateful for the offer but had to go as had cinema booking. She advised she would take off from the menu. But nothing was taken off . Fully paid anyways as understand there’s issues. But wouldn’t go back now .

    Very efficient service. Our order was taken as soon as we were ready and we didn’t have long to wait for our food which was absolutely amazing. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return and would definitely recommend.

    Delicious food and helpful staff but 40 mins wait for chips and burger is bit too much altough would I come back? Yes!

    The chicken is definitely a winner. Being harsh but I though coating might have had a bit more flavour to it. Chips were ok, mac ball were ok, seemed more like lumps of pasta, quite bland. Probably a meal I won't remember in a few weeks time

    I love the madd egg, I have been here a few times but it’s perfect for date night. The staff are so friendly and make you feel really comfortable. I recommend this restaurant for families, young people and couples.
