Here at Mad Dogs & Englishmen we have become renowned for our themed Afternoon Tea’s and wonderful cocktails. Enjoy the eclectic surroundings of this unique venue. We offer an immersive experience, a feast for the eyes and the taste buds! The Parlour Tea Room at Mad Dogs and Englishmen provides a vintage setting to enjoy Afternoon tea. We’ve become renowned for our themed teas which offer an unforgettable experience. The Botanical Rooms is upstairs and hosts our cocktail bar and also hosts our themed afternoon teas.

My sister, niece and mum enjoyed the Grease tea immensely. The food and attention to details was brilliant and the service was superb!

Really good experience. We had the lion king afternoon tea which was fabulous! Only negative is they sat us right opposite the bar and we got splashed by them making drinks on a few occasions! Although the cocktails were fab too!

This is more than just an afternoon tea… it’s a whole experience. The food was delicious and the thought and effort made for the theme was amazing, would highly recommend. Yes, it’s not cheap but it’s so much more than just a few cakes!

We went for the Circle of Life Afternoon Tea last week. The venue looked fabulous, so much attention to detail. The service was great - the girls were very accommodating and checked that we were OK and if we needed anything. The food and presentation was amazing - all thoroughly enjoyed what we ate and were grateful for the box to take home the treats we were unable to eat. We did have to ask for the music to be turned down a bit but we were right next to the speaker. Lastly, we were reminded that our time was coming to and end (which we had been advised about in the email sent prior to the day) but it just came round too quick - we could have stayed longer! Overall great afternoon tea.

We love coming to Mad Dogs, infact this is probably my 10th time in visiting and I am always blown away at the creativity. The way the food came out, the presentation, simply everything was 10 / 10 as always. So I cannot fault any part of the experience. My only dissopointment is the way they push the service charge. I pre booked so paid a deposit, but as I was taking my mum, I didnt want her to see the bill, so I called up and paid on the Friday. The girl told me the total and i questioned it, she advised it was a added service charge. When I made a statement, how are you asking me to pay for a service i am yet to recieve, she got really rude with me and told me 'thats your decision but everyone else has to pay it'. This has changed my view of the experience a little as irrespective that I have always paid the service charge, in this instance, It put a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth the way that the girl articulated herself and the manor in which she spoke to me. We had a couple of cocktails so we got our bill,I paid for the drinks and left a tip to what I felt was acceptable (ontop of £106 for 2no people for afternoon tea and £48 for 4 drinks). All in all, wonderful experience.

I have never had a bad time here ever. The staff are friendly and the food is lovely. The themes are always beautiful and well done. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

We attended the Grease afternoon tea... wow! The attention to detail was spot on. The food was delicious. Too much to eat in one sitting so a lovely doggy bag to take home and enjoy later. The staff were very attentive and extremely polite and helpful. Will definitely look to book another themed tea there in the not so distant future. Many thanks ☺️
