Over an hour wait for entrees because they have a “fresh kitchen”. Every table had the same wait. We could hear other tables complaining and getting their meals for free for a variety of disappointing results. My steak was cold and flavorless, rice was cold and clumped refried beans were hot but clearly from a can. Steak should have come with a sauce. It did not. Every entree was awful and again an 70 minute wait to receive items that take no more than 10 minutes to prepare. The waiter was terrific. It was loud only because of a live acoustic band.

We went for a bachelorette party on Cinco de Mayo. We were given a private outdoor room to celebrate. It was the best dinner we’ve all had. Not only was it Cinco de Mayo. But the restaurant was having a block party on the ground floor. They were quite busy. But you couldn’t tell. Our server Kyle was amazing. There was no lapse in getting food drinks or anything else. Could not have had a better experience!

View and service was good. Food was not !! Pork tacos had little meat and no toppings. Fish tacos fried to a crisp, grouper dried out. Taquitos almost burnt and burrito served cold. Most mexican places offer chips and salsa gratis, not here, charged for not many. Would never go back or recommend to anyone

Staff was very nice and attentive. Food was very bland even my 13 yr old who has picked up cooking and loves Mexican food and has tried birria tacos from many different restaurants was disappointed. Rice was over cooked and mushy, beans were very spicy. My tacos which the description said marinated had no flavor.

Started out great except they didn’t have the outdoor seating available despite reservation that stated outdoor. Looked bar patrons had taken over the patio tables. Waited over 20 minutes for our post dinner drink and just about as long to get check after request. Food was good though.

My brothers, their wives and my hubby decided to spend a week in Redington Beach and have had our share of bar food and fine dining. I decided to take the reins and find a restaurant for one of the nights and came across the Mad Beach Cantina , a nice break from wings, steak and grouper. Extra perk it was only a mile down the road. Thankfully everybody was on board with my choice. We pulled up to the restaurant and all of us were like WOW, this place looks like it’s right out of Cancun. Cole was our waiter and he was fantastic! Great young guy with a large personality and we enjoyed chatting with him. The food was fantastic! I loved the shredded chicken in the Quesadilla and overall, everybody enjoyed their dish. We will definitely be back and hopefully Cole will still be there!

We've eaten here twice so far this trip. Excellent service (thank you Morena!), delicious tacos (the birria tacos!), the Mad Nachos are some of the best we've ever had, we loved the ceviche... everything we've had on the menu has been delicious. Highly recommended.

Made reservations but still took hour to get food and when we got it was not good. Didn’t even match menu descriptions. Then you pay $7 for a beer on top do that while you wait. All in all was a $30 meal that cost over $100 there.

street tacos (beef shoulder) were the best tacos i have ever had. The front entry was over whelmed by people just trying to get there names on the wait list for a table( 1.5 hour wait). Large group (wedding dinner) over whelmed the entry wait staff and rest. and I think management did a disservice to there staff(wait times just for a drink were about 15 minutes) The salsa tasted like ketchup, but the veiw of the marina was exceptional.

Maybe they were just having a bad night, but the guacamole was disgusting, hard to believe it was made on site as advertised. The salsa tasted like V8, or cold spaghetti sauce. Rice was a lukewarm, tasted like Uncle Ben’s microwave rice. Two orders of chimichanga came out—garnishes (guacamole/cheese/sour cream) on one plate — nothing on the second plate. Margaritas tasted watery and while there seemed to have been plenty of wait staff it was extremely disorganized. In good conscious, based on service and quality of food delivered tonight, I would not recommend or return to this restaurant.

Staff was great, food was not as good. The special drink was very odd. It had a very smoky aftertaste. For $14 it was disappointing. The chicken fajitas looked great but the chicken wasn’t seasoned at all. Just plain grilled chicken on a bed of onions and peppers. The tortillas that came with it were the size of small street tacos so it was hard to fill with the lettuce and other fixings. Still on the hunt for a great Mexican restaurant in the St Pete area.

Great location, great setting. Service was slow. Waitress took drink orders after about 5 minutes but took a good 15 minutes before drinks were made. 2 different appetizers were ordered and came at two different times. Waitress was nice food was great, good value, just don’t know why it took so long to get drinks.

We had a great experience…I was glad I had made a reservation because they were training someone at hostess and she seemed to be in the weeds a bit but sat us right away. Food and drinks were excellent but the bar was a bit backed up however that will not keep us from going back. Definitely worth a visit but I would make a reservation especially on a Saturday night they were very busy.
