Top-notch professional service. Very attentive but not intrusive. Server had excellent knowledge of the whole menu. Food was cooked perfectly and server made great pairing recommendations. 10/10 thanks for a nice anniversary dinner.
Love eating on the Marietta Square. Will come back soon.
Delicious food and drinks. Perfect for any kind of get together.
Sides were just ok. Main dishes were good but there are better steak restaurants around for the price.
Food was excellent. Great menu selection. Great bar ambience. Top notch customer service.
Friendly & Attentive staff: Our server Corey and bartender Chad provided great customer service and a wonderful experience.
Our food was cooked perfect & waitress was wonderful & so helpful! Love the manager ! Definitely one of our favorite places to eat!
Highly recommend for romantic dinner. The steaks and entrees are delicious, and a good wine selection.
Mac's Chophouse is topnotch! The service is amazing!
I love a restaurant with tablecloths and cloth napkins so I was happy from the start. The food was fine; delicious french fries, perfectly cooked salmon and portions were adequate. Since it was my birthday I was expecting a slice of cake, but, that did not happen..There were other diners but it wasnt everly noisy.
Great restaurant! The food and drinks were amazing. Bill, our waiter, was very attentive, funny, and made our first experience unforgettable. We will definitely be back!
I gave the 'ambiance' 4/5 stars because of how loud it was.
My husband and I stopped in the Chophouse on the Marietta Square for an early dinner. It’s Friday night at 6:00pm. The three hostess’s tell us they only have reservations and can not seat us. I had looked up the restaurant prior to going and knew that wasn’t accurate. However we stepped outside and made reservations on Open Table for 6:15pm. We take a walk around the square then back into the Chophouse. Again three hostess’s, tell us that we will be seated in a few minutes. Twenty minutes go by and they offer us a table right next to the door that we have been standing at for 20 minutes that’s been empty the entire time. I asked to be seat elsewhere.
Needless to say, each one of these hostess’s need to be retrained. The first we walked in they should have offer to make a reservation for us. Then not have us stand for 20 minutes by an empty table. I would have left on the spot had my husband wanted to eat and was hungry.
We had a very pleasant experience after that. Our waiter was very professional and had a wonderful sense of humor. His name was Bill. He offered wonderful selections on drinks and steaks and even dessert. I can’t say enough good things about him. The food was delicious and ordered exactly how we wanted it cooked. Means a lot when ordering a steak. We had the Tomahawk steak, mashed potatoes and asparagus. We had the grilled shrimp appetizer and bread pudding for dessert.
Again food was great, service was great, hostess’s were absolutely horrible.
Pretty standard steakhouse. Hostesses didn’t seem like they had their act together. The field greens salad was very sad looking. Literally had 7 pieces of lettuce on my plate and 2 cherry tomatoes with buttermilk dressing. Definitely not worth the $9. Steak was good but probably will go elsewhere since the place didn’t feel like a special experience to me.
We enjoyed everything about our experience. The only distraction on our Friday evening visit was the noise level. Which is why I gave 4 stars in value.
I ordered the barrel cut 12 oz. filet; it was excellent. Great cut, great flavor! I would definitely order it again. The Wellington bites were also awesome.
If I were to choose a steak house based on starters and side dishes, this would be a great choice as they were delicious. However the steaks were tough, under seasoned and underwhelming. The pimento cheese fritters were the star of the dinner.
Nice place, excellent location, food was good but a little pricey for what it was. Still would recommend.
The service, food, drinks and ambience was EXCELLENT!!
Overall the experience was very good. The food was excellent. The place was noisy, but I do not say that in a negative way. People were having a good time and the ambiance reflected that. The noise level did not keep us from talking at all. My only point is if that is an issue for you, then take it into consideration.
My guest and I ordered the charcuterie board as and appetizer, then we both ordered the french onion soup and the bone in ribeye. My complaint is that we never received the soup. When I brought that up to the server, she just acknowledged it but did nothing else. No apology. Nothing. I spent 10 years in the restaurant industry and I would have bent over backwards to make that right. There were no offers for a free dessert, or anything else to leave us with the feeling that we would want to return. I would still go back. But if anyone at Mac's reads this, you should train the servers how to better handle things when they mess up.
First time dining here, Definitely will be back. The service was superior. The bartender was very knowledgeable on wines. We were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary and the staff acknowledged it. The Beef Wellington Bites, French Onion Soup, Corn Chowder, ribeye steak were all fantastic.
Food was delicious, as always; wait staff was superb and the restaurant always feels festive! One of our favorite restaurants!
After spending close to $800.00 for dinner. Management decided to enforce a no hat policy. Assistant manager did not handle the situation well and should have informed us of the policy before we had almost finished our dinner. If we had know about the policy before the food was on the table we could have decide if we wanted to stay.
Normally this place is great but the drinks tasted awful this time. The food took longer than usual and was overpriced and very average
Wonderful service and food! We stuck with appetizers and salads this evening for a lighter bite, and the pimento cheese fritters, Wellington bites, and heirloom tomato and mozzarella salad were all a hit, as were the drinks! We will definitely be back to try the entrees.
Great experience, great food!
Second time at Mac’s and we will be back! Great food and consistently good service. Thanks to our server Corey for making a birthday celebration extra special!
It was our anniversary and the staff greeted us with champagne and brought us a complimentary dessert to share. The service was warm, friendly and professional. The brunch was very good if a bit skimpy for the price. I look forward to going back for dinner to try their signature steak and seafood. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Everyone was friendly and know. Food and drinks were delicious- blackened shrimp app was so good, Service with Bill and Yvonne was impeccable.
We had excellent service, just felt like the food is over priced for what it is.
We came on a Saturday expecting brunch because they do Sunday brunch but that was unavailable which was fine just didn’t see that anywhere when booking in open table. The restaurant and service were great but my fish in my fish and chips was actually soggy. The fries were delicious but my fish should have been fried a bit longer. I will stick to steaks here.
Fantastic service! We felt like royalty! A wonderful place for special occasions.
Great ambiance, food and service - we really enjoyed everything.
Had date night with another couple overall great experience.
They have amazing food and the restaurant is beautiful.
Great food, good service for Sunday brunch. Drinks were very good.
Everything excellent. Quite an improvement from Shillings.
It was perfect. We got there shortly after they opened. Ordered the Lazy Susan meal for brunch. When it first came out, we thought it might not be enough food, but it was the perfect amount - a few extra pieces of bacon would have been nice, but overall delicious!! The ambiance was calm, but you could tell it was picking up at time when on. We will definitely be back!
Fantastic place to eat .. very romantic yet laid back atmosphere
We went for my son’s birthday. The food was incredible, the service was fantastic. It was overall a great experience
Food is excellent, service from Theo was the best I’ve experienced in YEARS. Overlooking Marietta Square is a great location and ambiance is just right.
We had a experience with the manager/ hostess which was unfortunate - we love the place and will continue going but this was truly unfortunate
