Mac's Chophouse
Always a pleasure. Today’s Chef’s special oak of Lobster was amazing! Please add to the menu!
Wonderful place for special occasions! Fabulous food and drinks! Highly recommend!
Love Macs, the best brunch restaurant on the square.
Wonderful hosts/servers.
Love my time there!
Mac’s never disappoints. Corey knew exactly when and what we needed. Love Mac’s so much, came again the next day for brunch. 🥂🧇
This is definitely a place for special occasions - the service is excellent and you never feel as if a server is hovering. They do have some young servers who are still learning but that did not detract from our experience. If you want a true dining experience - make your reservations NOW.
Excellent gourmet food local to us in Marietta. Delicious Steaks and amazing sides, I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner with family.
First time. Fantastic job on the stylish upgrade from the old Schillings. Great ambience, service exceptional. Slightly disappointed with wellington bites but this was a minor point. Otherwise two orders of the Halibut with lobster risotto, along with shrimp and grits and one 8oz filet - everyone left happy. The spicy cauliflower is not to be missed. Will be back
Great food and service.
I will definitely be back.
The food and service were amazing. It was a little chilly, sitting by the window. But overall, fabulous!
My son and his girlfriend got engaged at Mac's before we surprised them for dinner! The staff could not have been better. They let all the other patrons know they were getting engaged so everyone cheered for them when she said yes!
The bartender had a glass of champagne ready for both to celebrate and we had friends/family there for pictures and dinner! It could not have gone better and Mac's staff made the celebration perfect! Thank you MAC'S CHOPHOUSE!!!
Mac’s never disappoints! Great food, fun atmosphere, and fantastic service!
Mac's is always consistently excellent and never disappoints! Tracy was an absolutely fantastic server - appropriately attentive with wonderful recommendations. Rebekah truly knows how to take care of her customers; she is always welcoming and remembers her customers' favorite cocktails and desserts. Her staff is friendly and outgoing, even behind the masks, which isn't always easy. Chef Fuller's food is always wonderful, but the squash risotto, sea bass, and fried lobster tail was phenomenal this evening.
Food and service were outstanding! My entree was a “special” and although it was very good, it was extremely expensive. We sat at a table next to the bar upstairs and there was a group of very loud people at the bar which made conversing hard at times. Overall very good experience.
Fabulous setting for special occasions or business meetings. The food is incredible and wait staff are very courteous and knowledgeable. Will definitely come again!
Everything was great! Loved the wagyu and our server Ethan!
A great selection of food and wine/drinks for everyone. Highly recommend!
Amazing food- fantastic service. Can't wait to go back. The entire staff was super friendly and the service was seamless. If we had a thought of anything we needed, it magically appeared without asking (water glasses filled, extra napkin, etc.). Steaks were out of this world and the quality of the food is superb. Top pick and will be back soon!
Great rib-eye bone in steak and the crafted drinks were awesome. Mac's is an excellent addition to the Marietta Square. The second floor was cool, but a bit loud. All in all a great place for a date.
The salads were good, big portion so you could eat as a meal potentially. The Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were great. The complimentary vegetables were barely cooked. My steak was good, not anything to get too excited about. The desserts were ok. It was pricey, plan on about $100-120 a head with one drink, salad, meal and dessert. Nice to have a nice steak house in our area for special occasions and I appreciate that it’s there, but I’ll go once or twice a year tops. Mainly due to price vs quality.
Great food and atmosphere
Excellent as usual. Service was great. Beef Wellington bites are a must have. Charcuterie Board was great. Had the strip steak and Filet with blue cheese crust. Delicious. Wine was good. Of course, it's pretty pricey, but you know that going in. Great experience for special occasions. Lunch is awesome too!!
New Year’s Eve
As always a fantastic experience. A bit of a fishy smell tbh that hits when you first walk in but quickly goes away once you're there a few minutes. Great place, happily going back frequently!
Great food and service. A little crowded for COVID in my opinion, but I still felt comfortable. We were accommodated when we weren’t thrilled with our table placement at the bar. Overall would definitely recommend.
Food is above average for Marietta, the service was weak - really weak. The ambiance is zero - multiple times we had to stop our conversation because the noise level was ridiculously high.
But the real kicker is this: They are doing ZERO social distancing. The place is packed, the wait staff is wearing masks but our waiter kept it wrapped around his chin the entire time - even when serving or talking to us - it was a joke. You want a steak in a sensible COVID environment, I recommend Chops or Kaiser's Steakhouse or Blue Ridge Grill. Mac's is all about packing the place and even in a pre-2020 scenario their service is weak, the tables are on top of each other and it is just too loud - not relaxing at all.
Excellent food and service. Ask for Tom as your waiter.
Service was terrible but the food was decent.
I am glad my husband and I tried Macs. It has a great look. The decor is classy but not stuffy. We ate Wellington bites, wedge salad, fall salad, wagyu beef, crab cake and lemon cake. All were good. I thought the Wellington bites and crab cake were the best. We had two cocktails. I had Manhattan and my husband had Black Tie. We were both impressed with the Black Tie. Our server was very busy but made sure we had what we needed. He was very attentive to making sure my water glass was filled. We dressed up a bit since we don’t get out much without the kids but saw casual and stylish customers. I don’t think anyone needs to stress about being dressed up if you aren’t into that. I would recommend it to my friends in the neighborhood as a nice place to try.
Mac's Chophouse
About time that a restaurant of this caliber has come to the Square. We celebrated our anniversary there and were quite delighted with the champagne and gooey cake! Our server/service was excellent. We were seated upstairs, but the table for two was a bit cramped, though the overall ambiance was just right - we were dressed for a nice dinner but would feel equally comfortable in jeans and more casual attire. Pimento cheese fritters were very good, she crab soup had plenty of crab but was bland, rolls were served already dressed with butter and honey (a huge downfall, IMHO - there's easily better bread available, put butter and honey on the side please) Our steaks were absolutely beautiful and perfectly prepared. However, the sides that were included - mashed potatoes, rich, but bland, and roasted zucchini, carrots and green beans we could have done without, not the
best...) We added the crispy brussels sprouts and cauliflower which were quite good, if a bit oily. All in all a good experience and we will definitely be back. But, if you're bringing elevated dining to Marietta you gotta bring your A-game - the dining public is sophisticated enough to expect better for the price point. And, with a few easy little tweaks Mac's will be tough to beat.
We have eaten here several times and have loved it every time. The steak is amazing, the fish is amazing, the sides are amazing -- everything we've had has been delicious. And the environment is fun as well. It's also a great place to grab a drink and eat at the bar. 5 stars for sure.
This was our first experience at the establishment. Overall we had a good experience. I would have preferred more options for entrees.
Best place on the square! Glad they kept the old bar with a new splash of modern flare!
I really wanted to like this place, and I didn’t hate it, but nothing about it was above average for the price.
Put some sound baffles in the place to mute the noise.
Wellington bites and the blackened shrimp appetizers are incredibly tasty and the sea bass w/risotto was awesome. Denise from the upstairs bar was delightful and created a great experience for us! Will definitely be going back!
Delicious Holiday lunch!
Enjoyed shrimp roll, Shrimp and Grits, and a salad.
Service and food were fantastic. We'll be going back again soon.
Mac's is always a pleasure. Jose is always attentive and gets things right. The restaurant was swinging and he never skipped a beat. We enjoyed our Tomahawk steaks and our Halibut along with our scotch and bourbon. We got to listen to a live pianist and enjoyed the rumble of the restaurant. If you haven't visited Mac's yet, you need to make time in your schedule to stop by. You will never be rushed, service is impeccable and the food is second to none.
We've been to Mac's a few times since it opened and it never disappoints! Food and drinks are delicious and they usually have some really great specials. Top notch staff and an absolutely space!
Amazing food, service, and atmosphere.
