Tasty martinis, entrees delicious and service spectacular. Well worth the fine dining price.
Beautiful steakhouse with a quiet not too busy romantic setting. Service was fantastic and food was outstanding.
Always a great time at the chop house. Great service, superb steaks, and top notch drinks! Love this place!
We had dinner there last night before going to Pikes Peak Center for a Broadway show. They are perfect for dinner before a show because they are less than a block away from Pikes Peak Center. Our dinner was superb in every way. We has the stuffed mushroom appetizer, 6oz filets, and a Caesar salad. Had the Stag’s Leap Petite Syrah which was half price on Wednesday night.
Our server was Rene and she was excellent.
Great service and tasty food! First time at MacKenzie’s but not our last!
Delicious food and amazing service. We have been a few other times throughout the year and the waiter remembered us and was welcoming with expert service!
Food was just average this visit and frankly a little disappointing! Excellent service is what made the visit memorable.
We never leave MacKenzie’s unhappy! The staff, definitely the ambience and of course the food are absolutely superb! Thank you all so very much for always giving us a fantastic memory whenever we visit.
Our first time here. Love the ambiance. Most restaurants do not have this atmosphere anymore. I felt as though we were at an establishment of days gone by as in an old speak easy. It has the feeling of “old money elegance “ with a casual vibe. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was delicious. Wait staff were attentive.Excellent libation menu.
Service was great! I personally don’t feel that the food was worth the $220 we paid. My steak was way over cooked, the appetizers were subpar and unfortunately we have had better at other restaurants. I did enjoy that it was wine Wednesday and the bottle of wine was half off. I would return for wine only. Again, just a personal experience and nothing bad happened.
Everything tasted great and we had a ver attentive waiter. I will likely be back again.
The server, Cody was not attentive. We received the basic service. I used to serve in a restaurant no where near the supposed caliber of this restaurant. I've eaten here before and was always impressed. It had been awhile and it seems they have lost what they used to have. Burned baked potato, sad looking ciopanno and the scallops were small and not even browned. My filet was perfect though. I'll not be going back.
Service was superior and food was delicious! Great place for lunch or dinner.
Great place to eat! My wife and I eat there once a year on our anniversary and have never been let down.
Excellent service, food and atmosphere. One of our favorite places for cozy, intimate dining.
This is, by far, the best restaurant in Colorado Springs, perhaps in the entire state. The food is beyond delicious and Cody, our waitperson, was superb (and always is). The only improvement they could make is to encourage their bartender to be more personable with the patrons.
MacKenzie's is a convenient, quality restaurant within easy walking distance of downtown Colorado Springs hotels and the Pikes Peak Center. The staff is well-trained and professional (Paul, you are the best!), the ambiance cozy and clubby, and the food well-prepared. We had the beef and brie appetizer which was tasty but a bit awkward to eat, as it is somewhere between fingerfood (too messy) and difficult to eat with utensils. I had scallops and while there were only three of them, they were large and more than enough, given the accompaniments. My husband had the 6 oz filet and again, the portion was very adequate, accompanied by baked potato. We left no room for the lemon cake which I had been hoping to sample! Speaking of lemon, do try the lemon drop cocktail. It is delicious! One bit of constructive criticism: get rid of the paper covering over the linen. You either have linen or you don't.
Everything was wonderful, we got put next to a large group which was the only reason it was noisy. Food and service was amazing, looking forward to going back.
It is always a great experience at Mackenzie's! The only issue we had was that it took a lot longer than normal to be seen by our waitress. But once she came around, she was wonderful! There was a Christmas party going on near us, so it was louder than normal, but it was a fun to be surrounded by the festivities.
Wonderful night celebrating when I proposed and she said yes!!!! Service was amazing. Thank you. Will be back again for sure.
I ordered a medium Prime Rib I got a rare one, Changed for the new one. The new had very Little meat, at least 65% of it was fat .
Excellent service, food and atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back!
Service was outstanding, food was delicious. French onion soup was delicious as was the beef and brie starter. Steaks were seasoned perfectly. The strawberries and cream dessert was so fresh and the perfect finisher. Cesaer salad was average (overdressed). Will definitely return and recommend as well.
Wonderful food and drinks! Will be back!
The lounge was nice - drinks were good. The steak (ribeye) and baked potato were so-so.
We really enjoy MacKenzie's! They always have great service, great food, and great drinks!
Was not what we were expecting for this type of restaurant. I know things have been bad for all places with covid, but a place that serves $40 and $50 prime rib and has paper on the tables. The appetizer, calamari was good, the prime rib was just ok tough to cut (maybe it was the knives) taste was nothing special, seemed fairly tender to eat. It states well marbled, it wasn't. The sherry mushrooms were very good. It was our 49th wedding anniversary and they did give us our choice of dessert for free, thank you, and the cream brulee was good. As I stated was not as good as we had hoped
Great experience, great service, great food.
Our very favorite restaurant! Food, service, ambiance…need we say more?
Skip MacKenzies for Thanksgiving. We normally love the restaurant, but the holiday meal was extremely overpriced for the mediocre meal.
The service was exceptional! Food was great!
The food was amazing! Great service and not crazy expensive
An amazing experience, delicious food and wine.
Unique layout made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. We were seated in a private corner near a lovely fire place. Very romantic for this parents’ night out. Ambient lighting and soft music allowed for quiet conversations. Our server, Kevin, was fast, friendly, and knowledgeable of their product. The food was superb. This is the best steak I’ve had at a restaurant, and usually I prefer to eat steak at home because no one ever cooks it to my expectations. The temperature of my steak was perfect and not over cooked like at most places I’ve been to. Worth the price!
MacKenzie's offered a fantastic lunch -- the meat entrees were perfect and the service was outstanding!
Spicy cashews were amazing but difficult to cut with my fork However, they melted in my mouth!
Food and service was amazing! Will definitely be going back
Service was incredible. Steak entrees were fantastic as usual. The salmon tartare was especially surprising and really well balanced.
Excellent steak house, and with plenty of other options and extras besides steaks
As soon as we walked in, the hostess greeted us warmly, wished us a Happy Anniversary and we were seated immediately. Our sever was fantastic! She was friendly and made several recommendations. The food was excellent as well as the wine selections. I highly recommend!
