Great experience, great service, great food.
Our very favorite restaurant! Food, service, ambiance…need we say more?
Skip MacKenzies for Thanksgiving. We normally love the restaurant, but the holiday meal was extremely overpriced for the mediocre meal.
The service was exceptional! Food was great!
The food was amazing! Great service and not crazy expensive
Unique layout made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. We were seated in a private corner near a lovely fire place. Very romantic for this parents’ night out. Ambient lighting and soft music allowed for quiet conversations. Our server, Kevin, was fast, friendly, and knowledgeable of their product. The food was superb. This is the best steak I’ve had at a restaurant, and usually I prefer to eat steak at home because no one ever cooks it to my expectations. The temperature of my steak was perfect and not over cooked like at most places I’ve been to. Worth the price!
MacKenzie's offered a fantastic lunch -- the meat entrees were perfect and the service was outstanding!
Spicy cashews were amazing but difficult to cut with my fork However, they melted in my mouth!
Food and service was amazing! Will definitely be going back
Service was incredible. Steak entrees were fantastic as usual. The salmon tartare was especially surprising and really well balanced.
Excellent steak house, and with plenty of other options and extras besides steaks
As soon as we walked in, the hostess greeted us warmly, wished us a Happy Anniversary and we were seated immediately. Our sever was fantastic! She was friendly and made several recommendations. The food was excellent as well as the wine selections. I highly recommend!
Service, oysters and chocolate dessert were excellent. Both steaks were average at best and we’re pretty sure each was served the other’s steak even though the sides were correct. I ordered the NY strip while my wife ordered the filet and the steak I was served was much thicker than the one she was served. It was also aggravating that the price on the bill for the middle priced filet she ordered was more than what was noted on the menu. Other steaks we have ordered at other steakhouses in the Springs have been much better than Mackenzies.
The ambience was very old fashioned and the food was less than fair. Not a place to go if you want good, upscale steaks.. certainly not for those prices. Long past its prime. The service was great, however. Wait staff were very nice and attentive!
Had dinner for business on 11/11 .
Drinks was very normal nothing to really talk about . Got a whisky sour friend got a old fashion booth costed 12-14 each and tasted like a 7 dollars drink at best .
We all three ordered prime rib med rare . Temp of steak was cooked correct . But where was flavor I mean you want over 50 dollars for a steak and for it not to full of flavor is a shame . Honest truth go to Texas road house . Better quality of food better price .
Food was AMAZING! Service was wonderful! It was quite and couldn't have asked for a better place to have my birthday dinner! :) We will be back!
My sons and I wanted a nice restaurant to celebrate a birthday and promotion at work. This place was a great pick! The food was amazing and the staff was very friendly and attentive. So happy to have found their information in the guide at my hotel.
It’s been many years since we’ve been to MacKenzie’s, and last night didn’t disappoint! The vibe is reminiscent of pubs in England, but being underground adds a neat twist. The lighting and classy atmosphere added to a wonderful experience. We had steaks, and it couldn’t have been better. Expertly prepared and the sides were just as delicious. Thank you for a lovely date night!
The greeters were very friendly and efficient. Our server, Paul, was a delight. very friendly, knowledgeable regarding the menu, and willing to take the time to see to our every need. The filet steak was very tasty, done to perfection and tender. The only concern was the salad which had some brown parts of the lettuce. Not very fresh. Paul quickly replaced it, which was appreciated. We celebrated a birthday with a chocolate cake (which was gratis and very much appreciated). An overall fine dining experience!
Really good food, really good service. I like this steakhouse very much.
A must go to restaurant!
Our steak was not as good as I remembered from our previous visit. Both the steak and baked potato were almost cool temperature wise when served. The asparagus was nice and hot bc it was on an iron plate that kept it hot. The steak was not tender like most filets, but as my husband said, it was almost like a chunk of roast beef with that kind of flavor as well. It was medium rare, just as we ordered but just wasn’t a $52 steak.
Very nice, good food, pricey but to be expected for this type of fine dining chops restaurant.
Service and atmosphere in the bar area was spot on.
What a nice surprise! We were visiting Colorado Springs for the first time & celebrating a birthday- our table was ready right away and this hungry crowd had appetizers within 10 minutes of seating. The spinach artichoke dip appetizer was the best I ever had, and the filet was also one of the best I have ever had as well- melt-in-your-mouth goodness.
And the most cordial and attentive staff! Great experience overall!
Food and service were fantastic!
Thank you for your business!
The atmosphere was great and the food was amazing! Love, love, love the lobster macaroni! And the drink, the Porch Pounder, was amazing! Steaks were good, the bordelaise sauce was rich and salty. Overall, just a good place.
Food is great, staff is fantastic, prices are high(to be expected in these times though). Would come back again, but not often.
Very loud around us … not from large groups, just high volume laughing and talking!
Great service from Jamie @ the bar. Fantastic shrimp cocktail appetizer and amazing steaks.
Lovely atmosphere! Best Salmon ever!
We had a guest from out of town and wanted to take her to a special place. The "Cheers" feel of MacKenzie's makes it special and the lunch special was excellent.
Beef and brie was excellent. Wonderful steak, cooked just right
Great night with older parents - noise level low so we had great conversation. Service and food very good.
We ordered steak for two and were very disappointed. For $120 it wasn’t even enough for one person. The sides were marginal but our bottle of wine was good.
Waitress was good, but we will not be going back
Steaks were severely undercooked, I was genuinely surprised for how good the chefs are supposed to be there. The food Quality was overall very low. The bill was outrageous for how little we enjoyed it. I felt like the server did not care about our experience, she removed the price of the steaks.
We enjoyed our special event (Anniversary) at the Chop House. Everything was great.
My wife and I had a fantastic time here. The ambiance was very calm and relaxing. The food was amazing with only a few minor things that I would've changed. The prices are quite hefty so this is somewhere I would go for special occasions with my wife only. We will definitely return.
Wanted to come here for years. The good: the service was outstanding. Attentive staff, great service from knowledgeable employees. The bad: really wasn't bad. They had a somewhat limited lunch menu, with only two choices of steaks.i went with the flatiron. I wasn't a fan of the sauce, but the steak was good, sides were good.. just not for the price good. I just expected more. That being said, the girlfriend loved it. So I'll probably be back. She had the salad.
Mostly very good food (burnt garlic kind of ruined the broccoli) but overall a very good meal. Great service! Waitress was extremely nice! Kind of expensive but worth it!
