Sophisticated Southern and Gourmet Country are great ways to describe the cuisine at the charming Mack & Kate"s Cafe. Named after two sisters, MacKenzie and Kathleen, our family owned and operated establishment will make you feel right at home. Started in a small, sleepy town, Mack & Kate's humbled beginnings took place in a small service station. This charming little destination dining spot grew over eight years, resulting in the Strawn Family relocating Mack & Kates to Franklin, TN.
We enjoy seeing our friends from our early days and our new friends here in Franklin.
We use the freshest and finest when it comes to our ingredients and always support local farmers and growers. We pride our self in our accommodating and knowledgeable service team and the ability to consistently feed our customers what they are looking for; the freshest from the best.

I had my first experience with this food place today at my work through fooda. I originally wanted the baked mahi mahi however they ran out the first 20 minutes of being there. So I settled on the smothered chicken. It was beyond salty! I mean I typically can get through it, however I could not. I will not be eating here again. The food was terrible, not to mention for the 10 dollars i paid.

We've done Thanksgiving & Christmas Day meals there-and they've both been fabulous. We don't feel crowded or rushed. Service is impeccable-waiters are there when you need them and absent when you want to be alone. The staff is very friendly. Mack & Kate's is our new go-to place.

We enjoyed the experience. Snapper was a bit overpriced with a side that was not a favorite. Sitting in the bar area was nerve racking, given the amount of food we ordered and size of table.

Food was just about average and seemed a little over priced, but the bigger deal was our server who would not stop talking and just let us eat. He went on and on about his wife, his trips, his dog etc. I'm not sure why he wouldn't let us just enjoy our meal in peace, but this night was all about him and not us.

We were on our way to Nashville for the Nutcracker and stopped here for brunch. We had a party of 8 and they gave us the private room. Our server was very sweet and attentive. The food was great, very plentiful and the chef did a great job accommodating our children’s requests. We will definitely make another visit, perhaps for dinner.
