We made a reservation for Mother's Day. The restaurant was CLOSED. Apparently there were a number of other people similarly disappointed. No notice, no sign saying the restaurant was closed. What happened???????????

This restaurant is closed forever. Unfortunately we made Mother’s Day reservations and I confirmed the day before. We showed up and the restaurant has closed its doors…. Thankfully we went to Sergio’s in port Chester’s and it was awesome…. Lucky to know someone who got us in

This was a disaster - the restaurant was CLOSED when we showed up. On Mother's Day - after you had advertised on your website to come dine with you AND after receiving a confirmation! We had made a reservation weeks ago to come to Macelleria for Mother's Day at 2pm. I made this reservation on April 25 through OpenTable. I even got a confirmation on Saturday, May 10 to confirm we would be dining with you guys for the special occasion. This put a damper on my mom's day, which is the absolute last thing any of us wanted for her. We then had to scramble to find another place to eat without a reservation, which took us some time and wasn't nearly the experience we had promised her. I have tried getting in touch with someone from Macelleria's staff but only got the voicemail (which said you opened at 5pm when your website clearly says 11:30am-9pm). I even sent an email directly to their listed contact and still have not received a response back. I don't know what else to say other than we are disappointed and that this was sloppy. This is not how you run a business - especially on a special day like Mother's Day.

We made reservations on open table for Mother's Day based on logistics (we have never eaten here and never will) the restaurant sign was off the building, and they were closed. There were many people standing outside the restaurant confused as to why they were not in business but available on open table for reservations. We were very fortunate to find a restaurant nearby that could accommodate a party of seven. Open Table...please take this restaurant off of your App!!! They are not in business!

Place was not open, called multiple times with no answer. For a couple celebrating a birthday and traveling more than 30 minutes this was very disappointing.

Was a very disappointing dinner. First off the service was slow. We ordered appetizers and they were out of something so the kitchen decided to substitute without asking. The mussels were terrible and needed to be sent back. When the entrees came, one was missing and we were told that the kitchen forgot it. Two people ordered steak, which looked and tasted like it had been boiled. Both were sent back.

I enjoyed eating Chicken Martini with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The chicken is so succulent and delicious. My family member loved the Chicken Parmigiana with broccoli. The server Ada is always so welcoming and nice. The owner Nick always greets us and is very friendly. The ambiance was quiet and warm.

Macelleria Italian Steakhouse offers such a wide array of dinner selections. We started off with some warm bread with olive oil. I enjoyed a Beet salad with arugula and Goat cheese and grilled chicken which was superb! My family loved the steak and Chicken Parmigiana with clams with spaghetti. The owner Nick is so nice and friendly and always greets at the door and checks on his customers. The server Ada is always lovely too and takes our drink and dinner orders and does a wonderful job!
