Cool place with great food!
Loved our food, and service. We had a bit of an issue with the noise level. We were in the larger room, where large parties are seated. It was even hard for us to hear our friends , we found ourselves yelling.
We got the mussels and octopus appetizers and they were very good. Our entrees, however, were not. My husband had the 30 DAY DRY AGED NY STRIP and it had a pat of butter on it. The steak arrive luke warm (the butter did not even melt) and the steak was extremely tough. I got the SKIRT STEAK "Giardinara." It was a piece of skirt steak topped with cheese and some giardinara and it was not very good. Very disappointed in the food. Also the waiter was very hard to understand.
Great get together spot. We shared everything and loved it all. Brussels sprouts, salads, salmon and wine.
Lunch here was relaxing fun. Good food, good service, limited but interesting menu.
As good as always - only restaurant if it’s type that we go to frequently
Great neighborhood place!
Great food across the board. Delicious homemade meatballs that were huge! An outstanding beet salad featuring both red and yellow beets. Curry shrimp was slightly spicy in just the right way.
Nice place, but a little expensive. I would recommend.
The location right off the expressway made it easy for my friend who was coming from a northern suburb to access. The place is adorable (although I imagine quite noisy when full - which it wasn’t at lunch). Our waiter was great. And the food was delicious. I will come back for sure to sample the dinner menu items. They sound yummy!
Meatballs are outstanding, risotto, raw oysters, steak all amazing! Cocktails are innovative and tasty!
The size of plates to share was perfect for three. The flavors of the dishes were sublime. It is a friendly, comfortable place. The only small complaint is that it is loud because the interior finishes are primarily hard surfaces.
The food was fine, nothing extraordinary but we were not that disappointed when it finally arrived. However, we waited an hour to get our food. Turned into a much longer brunch than we expected - and we were hungry so that didn't help!
We went to Mable’s Table before a performance at the Trap Door Theater and we really enjoyed our dinner. The fish dishes were perfectly and deliciously prepared. Our drinks and wine were also a treat — all was very reasonably priced too. A great start to a fantastic evening—thanks!
Probably one of the best local restaurants for a delicious brunch, healthy options, kid friendly choices, amazing blood marys, attentive and friendly service and staff. Five stars all around and I can’t wait to go back
Darling little restaurant with a limited but delish menu. I personally think it's better to do fewer items really well than having too many to choose from that aren't always great. The octopus was outstanding as was the special Wednesday night. I'll definitely come again.
Excellent service and delicious food! We did a web search for "Quiet Restaurants Chicago". Mabel's was at the top of the list. We had a great family dinner for a special occasion. Can't wait to go back. Would definitely recommend. Excellent service. Fantastic drink menu. Love the great selection of meat, fish, and veg.
Haven't been here in about a year. Mable's doesn't disappoint. Our server was knowledgeable but not as attentive as I would have liked.
The Margaritas are killer, one of my reasons for coming back. My kid's and I all had the Rib eye was was good, but could have used a little more seasoning. The Spinach/Kale could have been a little less salty. But the Mac & Cheese with the Truffles was to die for.
Ended our meal with the Key Lime pie and Creme Brulee, both were awesome. Yep, we'll be going back.
We had mixed reviews on our experience here. The setting is quite nice.
We ordered the blackberry bramble drink and it was quite delish.
The brick chicken was also good.
The open face sandwich was NOT an open face sandwich at all and we did not like it.
Menu seemed rather limited and not many healthy or unique options.
The staff was so friendly and accommodating - definitely a fan of Mable’s and will return soon!
We were looking for a new place to try with another couple and saw all the great reviews. It met our expectations! We started with the coconut shrimp and meatballs for appetizers - both were delicious. The 2 very large meatballs were plenty to share and there were 4 shrimp with a small salad. For dinner I had the chicken, the husbands both had the ribeye steak and my friend had the shrimp scampi. We also shared the truffle fries and the brussel sprouts. The portions sizes were very good, everything came hot and as ordered. The chocolate chip cookie dessert was a perfect finish. We were seated on time when we arrived and the service was excellent. I highly recommend Mable's Table.
Sat outside for lunch. Delicious fresh chop chop salad with grilled shrimp a perfect lunch! Great local spot!
From the moment we walked in the door we were treated like friends. Our waiter took the time to explain menu choices, later stopped by for a friendly chat. The rest of the waitstaff was extremely attentive to our table also. As for the food......unbelievably GREAT! Cooked to perfection and very tasty. .....and, as we were celebrating our anniversary, we were brought a complementary creme brule that was out of this world.
We happened upon Mable's Table by chance, and hit the jackpot! We will be frequent diners now.
In town for the weekend and had heard great thing. Robie was on point every step of the way! Food was fantastic!
Mediocre food. Great service. My table ordered ribeye, four cheese mac, buffalo cauliflower, chorizo crusted whitefish, and kids pasta. Honestly, the kids pasta with red sauce and a meatball was the best dish on the table. For a place that claims to be known for steak, the ribeye was so blah. Mac n cheese was tasty, but it was a tiny portion. The fish was not good unless you got a big bite of chorizo. Buffalo roasted cauliflower was ok. I make a better recipe at home. My fiancé & I got an old fashioned and a radler. Both were not very good and tasted watered down. BUT our waiter was friendly and really great.
Love this place! The staff is amazing and the food is top notch!
I took my mom to Mable's Table to treat her to a nice dinner and we were blown away. Everything was excellent. The service was top notch. The drinks were creative and interesting but still easily drinkable, worth the value, presented perfectly and most importantly, delicious. The food was presented expertly, with neat and tidy plating. We started with the crustini and the house-made elements and local produce worked perfectly. Large portion, perfect for sharing. I had the charred ribeye, medium rare and it came out at the perfect temperature. I would describe it as juicy, well seasoned, delicate, and picture perfect. I stole a few truffle fries from my mom's plate and they were fantastic too. All around great experience, I've been raving about Mable's Table to everyone ever since.
My first time here was amazing- this time it was a little slow and not overwhelmingly impressive. Service was super slow. Server was very nice.
Love this place! I have been here 4 times and food and drinks are always fantastic, service is great and love the atmosphere.
Dinner is way better than brunch. It was just ok, but I expected more. The waitress was odd and kept making jokes about not giving us what we asked for. One of those “can I have a napkin” and she would respond “no, anyone but you” it’s funny once but she did it every time we asked for something. Never filled our water glasses and was just kind of awkward. Will not be back for brunch.
Food. Good. Why do require a minimum number of characters? It makes me mad.
Everything from the ambiance to the service to the food was excellent. Chef Anthony was personable and attended to our needs. Amazing place.
Delicious brunch - I had the smoked salmon with toast points. It was the perfect amount of food, so I didn't feel uncomfortable stuffed. We sat outside, which was nice. too. I'm looking forward to going back for a lunch or dinner!
Best meal we had for our week stay in Chicago, lovely staff, amazing Ribs and the G&T’s went down a treat!
Cannot recommend enough!
Our experience was outstanding from the app/main courses/dessert we ordered, to the wine we drank, to the hostess and wait staff that were exceptionally attentive throughout dinner. We’d go back to Mables Table in a heartbeat.
insanely great food and very nice staff. great place.
The one mix up- we had reserved on here for 8:30 but their system had us in for 8:15. Not sure how that happened
Picked this restaurant due to its location (long walk/short drive from our hotel), and the great reviews. For the most part, we were really pleased with the experience: service was as expected for a restaurant of this caliber, food was terrific, and the prices were fair. The only thing that prevents me from giving a better review was the temperature inside the restaurant. The outside temps were in the high 90's and pretty humid, and much to our dismay, it was not much cooler in the restaurant. Not sure if the restaurant doesn't have A/C, or maybe it couldn't keep up, but either way, it was hot. That being said, we elected to stay, and we were not disappointed. Apps, entree's and desserts were as advertised, and perhaps a bit better than expected, so it was worth the trip. I'd definitely dine there again, but I think I'll wait until the fall before doing so.
Really good waiter who knew his stuff and was super helpful!
Great food, but be prepared to wait. Parking is impossible. Service is always very slow, but many enjoy to linger and not be rushed.
