My husband and I went to Ma Maison for a special date night. We had a wonderful time. The service was efficient and very pleasant. I have lived in Paris off and on and found the restaurant to be just like a typical Parisian restaurant, but with much better service from the staff!! My husband had the lobster bisque and the duck breast. I had the soup of the day and the short rib boeuf bourguignon. Everything was cooked to perfection. We had the chocolate souffle for dessert, which was also delicious. The portions were just the right size. We would definitely recommend this spot to others.
Ma Maison was a wonderful experience, the food was fabulous and the ambiance was wonderful. It was like a little mini-trip to France. Will most certainly return the next time I am in Boston.
This restaurant is consistent in all dimensions. A very pleasant and enjoyable experience.
We often dine here and 100% satisfied always. Food is very authentic. Service is very professional and friendly.
Every aspect was really good. Good menu.
It is my favorite neighborhood restaurant....Robert is a terrific chef and Bobby is my fave waiter
The onion soup was just perfect. A great portion if you want to indulge in something delicious but aren’t famished
Excellent as usual
All the ingredients were very savory and cooked to perfection
Excellent service and the food is amazing !
Thank you !
The food is excellent and I managed to find dishes that are not available anywhere else in Boston. But check the check, they make mistakes.
We met a niece here for lunch. We had not seen her for several years and needed a convenient, walkable restaurant for lunch. Ma Maison was absolutely perfect for us - with great service and excellent food. We had a very enjoyable time. Thank you!
My sister and I had a very nice dinner , we loved the friendly ambiance and very much enjoyed talking to our neighbours. The food was delicious, especially the oysters , we felt we were almost in France. !!
Unpretentious. Exactly what a real French Cafe should feel like. The wait staff smiles. Happiness in a Boston French restaurant, shocking! Sir, here is more baguette, with out asking :-) Chef prepares the classics in a refreshing style. Folks, Old school French food is....GOOD. They get it right. French comfort food at a reasonable price.
Excellent service. Food well prepared and presented. Pleasant ambiance
Pricey, but not really justified. It was good, but not special. I was disappointed.
Food was great! Service good!
We visited Ma Maison for the first time for an Early Easter dinner. We had a lovely time. Food was delicious and service was wonderful. We will definitely go back.
The overall experience was pretty good and the food was amazing. The only thing I didn’t like was the slowness of the service. It’s not a big place to begin with so they had maybe about 2 waitstaff (not including busboys) and the hostess had to run some tables too. Other than the service, everything else was good.
Excellent reviews encouraged us to go to Ma Maison for our anniversary. The restaurant exceeded our expectations. We were seated at a quiet corner table and were welcomed warmly. Our server was patient, informative and attentive. He guided us to well-paired wine selections by the glass and accommodated our food preferences. The escargots brought back fond memories of travel in France. The venison was perfectly prepared and not gamey. The Gratin Dauphinois was perfection. The server offered the Grand Marnier casserole for dessert for our anniversary. Not too sweet but rich and light and airy at same time, we savored every bite. All in all, a special evening.
What a wonderful meal. Amazing, delicious food. 8 of us at the table and every person was so pleased. The service was exceptional.
My scallops were delicious. My husband loved his swordfish. The profiterole desserts are really big made with real chocolate. Oh, and the cocktails!!! Can't wait to go back.
As always Denis took great care of us. Gracious explanations of the specials, wine, and Jacky’s preparations. A comforting time that is second to none for authentic French in Boston!
Food is good. The place is really small, I guess that’s why waiters kept bumping into us. A reservation is highly recommended.
Came for our anniversary dinner, as we do every year. It was a bit more packed given that it was restaurant week, but still an enjoyable experience every time we are here ! Would highly recommend this place for its food and great service !
Lovely little place. A wee bit tight but once seated, service was terrific, food excellent. prices reasonable for the most part. Bar inventory a little limited owing to the small size overall.
we had a great time, will go back.
Wonderful discovery for us – nice ambience, great good with wide variety, nice service
Food and wine were excellent. Not cheap but good value for money.
My first time here was amazing and my 2nd not so much because of poor service. I had preordered a dessert and it wasn't made, then after we waited it was dropped in the kitchen and we were told we had to wait another 20mins.
It is the second time I dine there. The food is cooked to perfection and the ingredients are savory, The service is excellent which makes it a perfect experience
Came for DineOut Boston. $20 for lunch 3 course meal. Amazing veggie cream soup, perfect fish entree, incredible baked apple dessert.
We love this restaurant. The food is authentic french in both preparation and taste. Greatcwine list. What makes Ma Maison rxceptional though are the staff. Wat staff are friendly, patient and being from France knowledgeable. Special requests are handled with “of course”.
Each time we go there it is obvious that many of the guests are are known and warmly greeted (we are). It gives the place a feel of friends.
We went there for Boston restaurant week and ordered of the menu. Amazing food cooked to perfection. Very Tasty and great ambiance. The service was excellent.
Great food and Fantastic atmosphere. Comfortable dining room, well decorated
SO nice finally to get to try Jacky Robert's new place. Wonderful.
We eat here often. Can always get a reservation. Great service and authentic French food, generally quiet except when big parties book (not too often).
Awesome! Can’t wait to go back!
Good for all occasions
Reminds me of Paris
Good daily specials
From the moment we entered we remarked how cute the place is. Service was impeccable (example: we were deep in conversation and hadn’t looked at our menu, rather than interrupt us the waiter “read” the table well and waited until an obvious pause in discussion occurred) Food was very good as well. Highly recommend
A favorite of ours for years. Great bistro food. Friendly reception, varied wine selection.
We stumbled on my Ma Maison in between Dr. appointments becuse it was within walking distance adn wanted to have an early lunch. I have a business on a French island and adore everything French. Ma Maison was authentic, right down to our server's French accent! I loved their Omelette with spinach and goat cheese and my husband really enjoyed the sole. I have recommended it to my sons as a place where we could enjoy a post graduation meal, so I hope to be back in May.
Lovely experience. Felt like I was back in a bistro in Paris. The halibut is truly amazing with sensational authentic lemon buerre blanc sauce with sautéed spinach on top of the fish that tasted better than any spinach I ever had!
Chocolate soufflé was a fun way to end the meal. Highly recommend for a date night or evening out with another couple.
