This is a lovely place for real French food and where you are not ushered out of the door asap! Great ambiance, and delicious. Highly recommend.
I dined at Ma Maison with a friend on a Saturday evening. I had the prosciutto and melon, and the coq au vin, followed by the profiterole for dessert. My dining partner had the onion soup and the Beef Bourguignon. All was delicious. Service and ambiance were pleasant. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed everything so much. Have never had better gazpacho anywhere. Scallops, salmon, veal, vegan cake and lamb were all delicious. Merci. We will be back!!!
Delicious, small, amazing service with French staff. A must!
The onion soup was superior, as always, and reason enough to go to Ma Maison. The salad with beets and chorizo was good (and the restaurant kindly divided it for my friend and me) though for me there was too much salad dressing. The clafoutis was least successful with doughy uninteresting pastry around not quite juicy enough fruit, but other desserts at other times have been more successful, but the onion soup is enough for a me at Ma Maison and so much closer than Paris.
As good as always
This was a wonderful lunch for us. Ma Maison is definitely one of our favorite restaurants.
We celebrated my partner’s 60th Birthday here and what a wonderful time we had !
The food was authentically French (and delicious ! ) and
the service friendly, accommodating and very professional.
We highly recommend Ma Maison .....
Denis was amazing. Generous French portion. Make a reservation!
Phenomenal! This is a place that I will definitely come back. Food was perfect and the staff was wonderful. Highly recommended.
Great meal! The French onion soup and foie gras were great starters. The special Roquefort Soufflé with sautéed filet mignon was amazing. My husband had the duck, which he loved! Desserts were delicious! I would highly recommend Ma Maison!
Amazing spot. Denis is a great waiter. The food drinks and service are super high value. Highly recommend!
Always a fabulous dining experience! Great food, service and ambiance!
Lovely place for a business lunch meeting for my manager and I in a very convenient location. Food was excellent and menu was diverse! Very quiet and quaint café.
My wife and I had an amazing dining experience at Ma Maison for our anniversary. Denis our waiter was very attentive, provided excellent recommendations, and helped to make our evening special. There was not one item that we ordered that we didn’t greatly enjoy. We will defiantly return to Ma Maison.
I only wish this restaurant were in my neighborhood. We'd go all the time.
Delicious French meal. Unsurpassed in Boston. Like being in France.
We had a lunch with our family and our friend's family. The waiter was French and we conversed in French. He gave us a table to accommodate all 9 of us. Beautiful traditional French dishes. There was so much food that we couldn't finish and didn't have room for dessert. The prices were very good and the restaurant was quaint and elegant. I would definitely go back there for a date or nice family dinner.
Excellent food, great ambiance. A change from your everyday meal.
Felt like I was back in Paris. Service was excellent. Food was truly superb.
My husband and I were moving our son into a nearby condo and remembered Ma Maison from a previous visit so decided to go there. The service was so good and the food so delicious that we ate there three night in a row. Yum. Can't wait to return and try the veal chop. Merci to Denis, Julien and Megz. Tres magnifique!
This was our first time at Ma Maison, and we will definitely be back! Amazing food, romantic ambiance, and attentive service. Our server Julien made the night such a nice experience. Also, the warm bread at the beginning is to die for.
Easily one of the best meals and dining experiences we've ever had. Dennis our waiter was fantastic.
Great food, good wine selection and great service.
Highly recommend veal chop and escargot.
Tables are a bit too close to each other but overall a great dining experience
Ma Maison is one of my favorite local restaurants, super authentic French cuisine, and the waitstaff is awesome.
Wir hatten einen schönen Abend mit sehr gutem Essen und aufmerksamem Personal. Das Steak mit Pfeffersauce war das Beste unserer Reise und die Kalbsnierchen in Senfsauce sehr delikat.
Outstanding service and amazing food. We asked our server Denis to choose his favorite dishes. His selection was country pate, escargot, sautéed kidney and scallops. Outstanding!! They also have a great Champagne based cocktail menu. This restaurant has become our favorite when we are in Boston.
In town for business, returned to the wonderful memory of dining there with my wife on a Christmas trip to Boston. Now solo, I wondered if the magic would prevail.
The wine selection by the glass has a little something for everyone. I chose a cotes du Rhône and was not disappointed. My server was a real pro, friendly without being obsequious, appearing only when appropriate.
Escargot were of a good size and consistency. The garlic oil/butter was standard. One of the best I have had. Caesar salad was classic. Cannot speak to the crouton as I had them held. Dressing was light, as were the shavings of parmagianno reggiano.
I had the plat du jour, which on Thursday is tripes. Slow cooked until quite tender, and served in a tomato base with mirepoix of vegetables, it was excellent.
The mousse au chocolat was divine.
When I stood to leave, I dropped my wallet and as I stood up after picking it up I looked in the mirror and caught three ladies in their 70’s seated behind me checking out my 68 year-old butt.
It doesn’t get much better than that.
Great meal with wonderful food and service! The seating is a little tight (it is a smaller restaurant) but pretty much everything else was perfect!
Delicious authentically French food, small but ambient space. Personal attention from lovely servers.
Nos trataron de maravilla. Antes de pedir el postre les dije que era el cumpleaños de mi novio y nos pusieron una vela, fue un detalle muy bonito
Food is always great, service as well. Great French bistro atmosphere:)
The food was good. Our server was amazing. If not for him probably would have put 3 stars overall. Portion sizes were good, bread before meal was perfect.
Never had frog legs but tried them and wasn’t a fan. Everything else was great.
Excellent daily specials, especially the veal kidneys, quality of deserts unfortunately not on the same level as the rest of the menu, moderate wine selection, selection of French wines could be better, excellent Lavazza expresso (a rarity in most Boston area restaurants).
Ma Maison is always a wonderful experience. The food is authentic-just like Paris. The welcome is always most gracious. The service is attentive. My only regret is that I can’t dine there more often!
Delicious as always, strong menu with consistent quality.
This is a great neighborhood spot, with excellent but rich food and excellent service.
Love. Ma Maison combines delicious food, excellent waitstaff, and a comfortable and elegant atmosphere. Over the years we have tried many dishes here including the onion soup, all the salads, haddock, salmon, short ribs, steak frites, various specials, and of course dessert. Highly recommend!
