Service was mildly inattentive in that dirty app plates were left on the table after entrees arrived, despite us moving them aside to the end of the table in front of the server to signal that we were done. They were left the remainder of our meal, and the hostess ended up removing them towards the end of the meal. We also had to signal for bar drink refills after my husband’s cocktail was finished for 10-15 minutes. Food was very very good, albeit slightly pricey, but that was not a deal breaker . Ambiance was very nice, staff was very sweet.
Nice atmosphere- Food was hit and miss. Fried green tomatoes & shrimp and grits were great. Chicken and dumplings blah like - Can someone pass the salt and pepper blah. Server kept trying to get us to add on salads in addition to the appetizers and entrees we ordered - no bread. I basically left feeling ripped off and like I’d rather go somewhere else next time.
My wife and I were in Nashville for the weekend and found this restaurant on the OpenTable app. Everything was wonderful. The service was great, food was outstanding and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. I would strongly recommend this restaurant.
Fantastic service from Christian, loved the food, just a quick walk from the Frist Museum. Highly recommend!
The food and service were very good, what you would expect for the price of the food. What you would not expect was the noise level. This is not a place for a quiet meal, seems more suited for groups and folks looking to make some noise either before or after the next party.
The best place in Nashville, especially if you’re at the Music City Center. Great food, great service. Love talking to be kitchen staff.
Easter brunch. Our table was given away even though we arrived early and had to wait 30 minutes with toddlers. No real apology or effort to make up for the mistake that was made
The fried green tomato with pimentos appetizer was the big hit. The steak was tough & chewy with the asparagus. I would use a different type of bacon-chewy. I think you should add a few more brunch type items. Our waitress was wonderful! While I was with family for Easter brunch and we enjoyed our time together not sure I will come back.
Went for our anniversary, both had wedge salads (excellent salads) he had braised rib and I had salmon. Both meats were so tender and juicy, I don’t usually like salmon but try them in higher end restaurants because the cook on them is usually superb and I wasn’t disappointed by this one. We ordered the bread pudding and the chocolate creme brûlée. Be prepared that the chocolate creme brûlée is pure unadulterated chocolate with nothing to cut that flavor so it’s great if you want all chocolate. The bread pudding is simply amazing and I would eat it every single day if I could.
A friend found this restaurant with very good reviews. Went for a business dinner and was quite impressed. Fun atmosphere and excellent staff. The food offerings were interesting, all with a twist.
Second time we've gone here. First time with a larger group and this time with my spouse. Superior service and food.
We found the food here to be exceptional and the service by our waiter to be outstanding. My wife had the salmon and I had the braised short rib. Both entrees and salads were really good and served well. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Great food, nice and quiet. Good place to have a conversation.
This is a lovely place. Food was good and very fresh. The service was excellent and will definitely go back. Really nice atmosphere, not flashy, comfortable and classic. Will definitely go back
Wine was reasonably priced but a meager pour. Fish of day was over cooked, dry and "fishy-fishy" but shrimp and grits were the bomb! "Braised" short ribs would have been great without the bbq sauce drizzled on them - for clarity, rename them "barbecued" ribs.
Great place that is visit often. I have always had a great experience.
I had the Bronzed Sea Scallops Cheese Tortellini.... OMG... Outstanding
My Wife had the Seared Apple butter Salmon. She was just as satisfied as I was. Great Night Out.
I had never heard of M before finding it on Open Table. Absolutely amazing restaurant! The atmosphere and staff were amazing and food was to die for.
I took a chance on taking customers to an unfamiliar place, and we were blown away. Simple menu, great service and outstanding small batch bourbon selection. Don't be afraid of the bone marrow starter. It was the crowd favorite along with the chicken and dumplings and shrimp and grits.
DJ was amazing!!
We had a party of 7. The waiter was odd and not very together. We ordered a bottle of wine and I had to remind him to serve it. The food was good but the waiter forgot to ask 2 people at the table for their dinner order. He never realized he missed them until we told him. One colleague was so annoyed he chose not to eat anything. To add insult to injury. They close at 9pm. They swept around us and then turned the lights out over the bar. It was just after 9!!! Rude! We looked on line and it said 10pm. I would have expected them to work with us or at the very least let us know their hours when we made the reservation. I wouldn't go back. There are too many other fantastic choices in Nashville.
Great food!! Great service can’t complain!
Our server was attentive and informative. the food was southern comfort
Used to love to come here with clients, but now it's gotten so noisy when they remodeled the space. Carpet would be helpful. At night it's way to loud.
Showed up for Valentine’s dinner and it was not noted that there was a pre fixed menu. The menu had limited and restricted options. Nothing on open table or the website indicated pre fixed menu. The woman who called to verify the reservation also never mentioned this. When we asked the server, he apologized profusely, said ownership changed it last minute and many people had already left for the same reason. Clearly a move to force patrons into spending more money. There was nowhere else to get a reservation at this point so ate at home. Won’t go back.
Fantastic food and service! Great for any occasion.
Valentine's Day dinner was awesome!! We will return. Christian, our server, is top notch!!
A nice and affordable lunch!
Great staff and wonderful meal!!
Delicious and reasonably priced. the veggie stack was one of the few veggie options found in Nashville and the scallops were very fresh
Always delicious. Never been disappointed. Don’t miss the fried green tomatoes and apple fritter bread pudding!
Recently renovated to add more seats - the wonderful bar is gone now. Really tight seating - we had to keep adjusting our chairs so servers and other guests could get by the table.
I understand the desire for more capacity - but it cost the charm of the place. Food is still great.
My son and I were in Nashville for a visit to Vanderbilt. Wanted a nicer dinner after his audition but still wanted some southern fare. Overall food was good. The fried green tomatoes and chicken and waffles were outstanding. However as other reviews have pointed out temperature was not consistent. I had the salmon which was on top of risotto. The salmon was cooked perfectly and served hot. However the risotto was barely warm. My sons shrimp and grits were fine. Very rich! Loved the peach cobbler!
The service and food were excellent. The menu is small but everything we ate was delicious. The proportions were sufficient and the desserts were tasty. This is a relatively small restaurant so the service is attentive and the food comes out at a pace that allows enjoying the conversation without thinking you have been forgotten.
Great service and wonderful food, we had 4 in our party and tried 3 different dishes. (2 of us had the Sea Bass)Everyone in our party enjoyed their dish , which is rare these days.
Food was average.
Enjoyed the restaurant. The only complaint is that it did not have enough entree and salads to choose from. The shrimp and grits had a sauce that was WAY to rich. It covered up the taste of the grits.
Will probably return again
