It was much busier than last time and we had to ask after not getting sides that we knew came with the meal, but they were prompt and courteous about it.
The owner really made a difference on our visit. There was a dish that they were out of. Because if that a complimentary dish was brought out for all of us to share. It was amazing. The owner has a passion for what she is doing and it's great to experience that. Foods was great.
quiet night ate early. Food was very good and sevice was superb. Kind of a mix thai and mediyerranean cuisine, nice and differnet.
From starter to dessert, a fantastic dining experience! Wish I had had more time in the city to try their sister reataurants as well.
Wow is how to describe this place. Salmon and Pork Chop were great and all different types of Sushi were delish. Service was great too
Fresh, American dishes, prepared with Asian flavors and technique. A very nice addition to The Vista.
We had a reservation because of size of our group (6) and the fact that it was a home football game weekend and Parent's Weekend at USC too! And despite the very energetic and apologetic hostess who worked diligently to find us a table --- we waited 50 minutes after our booked reservation time to be seated! This, while numerous smaller groups that arrived later than us were seated almost immediately. All said, it was still worth the wait! Fantastic food, and top notch waiter --- We would go again........but with a smaller group ( 4 people or less)
The best sushi restaurant in town, with wonderful ambiance, good service, excellent food. In my opinion, the best of the M-restaurants here in Columbia, and we've been to them all. All are good, but this is the best!
creative food, creative drink selection, unique cocktails......tasty
Our guests ordered several types of sushi and the flavor/taste was "off'. It was over Labor Day weekend and the place was quiet. I will have to try M's again before I write it off as a place to enjoy Asia food.
One of the many branches of Miyo's, always an excellent choice for Asian food. M Grille is an attractive space with Miyo's great food.
We were very please with everything. Only improvement, faster checkout since we were on our lunch our.
M Grille served us a quite good brunch on Sunday, August 24. My roll was quite spicy, well formed and of perfect taste. My wife had the crab cakes which she found very good. The sushi here is wonderful and the Chinese presentation is well focused by Michelle Wang. It is a pleasure to eat there.
Good always is good, beautifully presented and fresh. The staff if friendly and attentive.
The M Group, led by Michelle Wang, really knows what they are doing. This is an excellent restaurant and I look forward to trying all of her others.
Went for brunch to celebrate a friends last day of work
With a group of 8. Service was amazing!! Everyone was patient with us and kept our mimosa glasses filled! Definitely going back!
Everything about my dinner at M Grille was perfect. The food was delicious. The service was so unbelievable. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. Also, it was very quiet since we were one of the only tables there for dinner. I loved it!
Good sushi, good drinks, 1 person ordered steak for some reason, but it was delicious per them
We have been in this restaurant 4 times and each was quite good. The rolls from the Far East were excellent.
If you like Asian fusion food, this restaurant is wonderful! Everything is fresh and beautifully presented with wonderful service. It is a real find for lunch in downtown Columbia! Uncrowded and free parking!
The food was great, service was prompt and friendly.
Special and very good food selection. Definitely recommend it.
Sushi was very good. Brunch burrito was fair. The eggs Charleston were good. The service was slow.
I will give M Grill another chance. But this was our first visit and our experience was pretty bad. Don't bother making a reservation. It seems that they don't even check for them. Food arrived piecemeal. I shared mine with my friend because hers didn't arrive until we had to leave. Its no fun when one couple's food arrives and you have to sit snd wait for the other two meals. And wait. And wait. Server was great, but there seemed to be total chaos otherwise--and the restaurant was only half full! I hope this place does better another time. It's an attractive restaurant, and I want them to succeed. And they did give us an unexpected gift certificate to make up for the crummy service.
The look of the restaurant is very promising, but the food failed to be as good as the atmosphere looked.
M Grille is usually closed on Sunday, but was open for a special Mother's Day brunch. The menu was traditional brunch fare -- Eggs Benedict, Shrimp and Grits, French Toast ... The food was very good, but very different from the usual M Grille food, which is Asian. The restaurant is very attractive; modern, light, and airy. We enjoyed our experience but have no way to rate the restaurant for a normal lunch or dinner.
Excellent food. I've eaten here twice with family and there is something for everyone. Fantastic sushi! Also, the martinis are a must. Family had they enormous ribeye and chicken dishes. Everyone loved it.
Way out of character for Michelle's restaurants in Columbia. We are regulars at Miyo's in Harbison. The food and service there is always exceptional. Our waitress did not know specials, called my wife "babe" twice and "darlin" once. The food was mediocre to poor. Cold, poorly cooked and oily crab cakes appetizer. My scallops were bland without any sauces. My wife's lobster pizza was soggy. Really could not recommend to anyone.
The venue is great but the food was disappointing. The ribeye was tough and tasteless and the crispy flounder was anything but crispy. M restaurants are usually great but M Grille needs to improve their game.
This was a wonderful first-time experience. We went on a Tuesday evening for "date night". It was busy, but not crowded. The seating was a little different than I was used to. Not very romantic at first, but the server allowed us to adjust the table so we could sit next to each other instead of across from each other. I loved the food, the service, the atmosphere. It was just lovely. We had reservations, arrived a little early and were seated promptly. I wouldn't bring children to M Grille. This was an adult atmosphere with an adult menu. We will definitely be back.
