M & V CAFE
Best Croissants in Miami so far. Pasta is exceptional.
Awesome food, probably the best homemade pasta I have had. Great french wine list as well. We wull be back soon.
A very good experience t this new Cafe, Hope they can last through this virus epidemic!
Husband and wife team work so well together. It feels like we are in the French countryside bistro with delicious, authentic food. Looking forward to going back and trying the Duck L’Orange.
Nice place, good food and great service
Food and service were excellent. We will go back and tell our friends!
It may look like your average neighborhood cafe, but "M&V Cafe" delivers a truly delectable experience. My husband and I went for Valentines dinner special, and were immediately greeted by friendly staff . The restaurant filled up quickly, yet the service was impeccable throughout the night. We started with champagne foie gras terrine with walnut raisin toast and fig jam, just succulent. My husband had the short-rib braise in red wine served over a creamy radiatori pasta and, I had the Mahi-mahi quenelle, both excellent. We ended with an extraordinary chocolate fondant cake and crème brûlée.
Do not let appearances fool you—the decor may be simple, but the food is exquisite. This place is perfect for groups or a casual breakfast, lunch or dinner. Should you have the opportunity to go eat there, do not hesitate!
Amazing food at very reasonable price. My friend and I shared escargot as a starter. It was fabulous. I asked for more bead to soak up every bit of the garlic butter sauce. We also had the lunch special of chicken breast with pasta in a ratatouille sauce. It was very good. For dessert, I had the creme brulee, which was very good as well. The only drawback is the lack of parking but that is a very big drawback since it is a very small lot, shared by three businesses. The tattoo people were very nice about us parking behind their shop, even though they had to move cars to let us out. My advice is to arrive early and plan to walk a bit.
Great food and service!
Enjoyable platter of foie gras, succulent Osso bucco, pleasant owners, and creamy , crispy crème brûlée . Other tables enjoyed salads and fish such as the quenelle over mushroom risotto. Good food , honest ingredients in the hands of French professionals
Excellent homemade pasta, lovely husband and wife team. Best lobster ravioli ever. 2nd time here and hope the neighborhood supports them.
Chef worked at Bocuse - one of the leading Michelin 3 star restaurants in France
Quality of food was superb
What a find - everything we ordered was made to perfection. Food was presented attractively and was delicious. Friendly and courteous atmosphere!
Will happily return!
Delicious out of this world food. They Never disappoint!
First time here, overall we loved it. Only suggestion would be something to absorb some of the sound, they have 10 or so tables for seating but it sounded like we were in an auditorium with 100’s and made it hard to speak across the table of two. And this was at brunch.
We did brunch here. I had a good Eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was great.
Great dependable neighborhood place to dine.
Wonderfully prepared food, pleasant and attentive wait staff. Great evening out!
Very good food and service. French bistro style.
Wonderful restaurant. Great food and great services.. We love it.
Lovely little family run place with delicious food.
Nice place, good food. Will return by occasion.....
Nice atmosphere, good customer service and the food was the usual breakfast, BUT with loads of flavour, freshness and goodness.
Great service and food at quaint charming neighborhood jewel! Authentic French menu with variety!
Food and service wonderful. Would definitely go back
Good food, service a bit slow. Good value for money.
Excelent food and services. Friendly place to go.
Food and service are always excellent; authenticFrench cuisine. Quiche is the best we have ever eaten; Niçoise salad with fresh tuna was excellent; and the crepe with fresh fruit was also excellent.
One of the best. We keep coming back and bringing more admirers
Good overall. Pricey for specials. Not busy at all for a Saturday nite. Just expensive for what they offered.
Consistently excellent food in a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere.
This neighborhood spot is stylish and clean lined. I have been twice for lunch and once for dinner. It is good quality and really nice food and presentation. I do find it a bit pricey for everyday lunch, but they do a nice happy hour. The grilled fish, the sandwiches and the chocolate mousse were really very nice. the staff and decor is casual yet classy.
Everything was delicious!! My husband and I both ordered the tuna as a main course and both of ours was cold. We gave it back and they warmed it up and it was much better. Our appetizers were outstanding. All in all would definitely go back
Never a disappointment. Consistently good food, service, ambiance.
The food was excellent the service as well. Drove by this place many times and never thought much of it. Now that I have tried it by recommendation of a friend I can’t wait to go back!! Still savoring the food. From appetizers to salads to main course a total winner.
Interesting menu. Lunch centers on sandwiches, quiches. Offerings are pricey. Want to try dinner menu. Parking is TIGHT, but if you are willing to cross Biscayne Boulevard, there is a large parking lot for a strip mall across from Barok.
Barok is always good, regretfully, never better. We live 10 minutes away and used to go there often, less so recently. The problem is a menu that hasn’t changed since they opened, and specials which are uninspiring and for the most part overpriced. This night they ran out of several menu items including an ingredient to make a sauce. Inexcusable! We have told them directly, but the owners don’t seem to care. Too bad, because it could be a first rate restaurant with just a little more effort.
Dear Howard, Thank you for your review Barok Cafe. I'm sorry to hear that our specials are uninspiring. We are changing it often and I'm sure you will find something more appealing next time. After a busy weekend, we run out of some items, apologies. Most of our regular customers love our menu and ordering their usual, we prefer working on daily specials. It doesn't occur that we spoke on Sunday, it's my day off, I will love to speak to you on your next visit. Happy Holidays. RUDY Owner.
The restaurant is a cafe yes but the menu is anything but. Very French, good variety of both menu items and specials and reasonably priced. Though it lacked much in the way of decor, it nevertheless felt cozy.
We had the special brie with truffles which came with lovely artisanal bread, a small salad with sliced figs
and strawberries and lettuce. Very large so should have been shared but I took the rest home instead.
H had the foie gras...didn't hear a word out of him - he was busy enjoying. For mains I had the filet mignon au poivre with their special ratatouille as I didn't want the carbs that came with it. H had pan seared salmon with cauliflower rice (made especially as he didn't want the carbs that came with it). Loved the fact that they happily replaced items we didn't want with something else. Dessert was crepe suzette which we shared. Will definitely come here again next time we are in Miami.
Best french restaurant in Miami. Amazing food, great atmosphere and excellent service.
Fantastic French cuisine at a reasonable price. Small, so reservations recommended. Wonderful sauces and numerous specials. Service was attentive without being to pushy or rushed. This was an unexpected gem! We will certainly return when we are in the Miami area again.
