Hadn't been there for a while. The Wedge salad was very good. We ordered a Strip Steak and a rib-eye. Neither were particularly tender or flavorful. Would not recommend their steaks.

Restaurant was great, but when I went to go somewhere else for dessert, Open Table would not let me make a reservation for another location because of a perceived time conflict even though it was more than an hour after dinner

The service was a little slow and it took a while to get our food - there were five of us but we all had salads and it was very quiet in the restaurant. Our waiter was not particularly attentive and brought us the check without offering us any dessert or coffee, which we wanted so this had to be sent back. The food was solid but nothing special.

Cocktails were ok. Lobster bisque was nice with small piece of lobster but the sole was tasteless and overcooked. Asked for sparkling mineral water and after waiting for a long time, was told they did not have any and that someone would have to go get it from their other restaurant across the street. In addition our nice waiter told us the water was not cold and asked if I wanted ice in it.....a no no for me since it dilutes the bubbles. This was New Year's Eve so we expected that the restaurant would have been better prepared. Disappointed!

We went on NYE so it was busier than usual. Service was a little slow - slow to get bread, slow to have waters refilled. Food itself was good. Be careful with meat add-ons for salads, I was asked if I wanted to add beef, assuming this meant a few strips of steak. I received a $23 9oz full steak on the side. Completely not expecting this.

M&S Grill is a busy place especially New Years Eve but private conversation can still be had while people watching the place.

Food assortment is great. A good variety of seafood and steaks with well prepared appetizers and ala carte items.

The calamari are messy looking but really tasty and not too greasy. The salads contain more than the usual set of ingredients and also taste good.

The streaks, especially the filet, are well aged and expertly prepared. Really good. Even the fish items like shrimp and lobster and trout are all excellent. The prices for the ala carte items are high though. $21 for a small lobster tail. Really.

All together a good though pricey experience.

Food was bad. Appetizer (some sort of crab hush puppies) tasted like nothing. They were mushy and unappealing. Entree was the baked stuffed shrimp. Shrimp was dried out. Mashed potatoes actually tasted liked instant mashed potatoes and looked like a shiny, glutinous mess.

The server was very kind and courteous.

I'd never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Very disappointing.

This was the third Christmas in a row that my family and I have dined at M&S Grill in Reston Town Center. For the first time, the service was so poor, I don't think I'll ever go back. While the restaurant was busy, it certainly didn't warrant the excessive amount of time it took to receive even our appetizers. our main courses also came out very slow. Both my nephew and my brother-in-law ordered the crème brûlée. My brother-in-law's came out fine. When my nephew broke through the hard caramel top, it was completely liquid underneath. Unfortunately by the time the server brought a replacement, everyone had long finished the dessert and my nephew ate alone. Our server was curt, never smiled (and it was Christmas!), and once filled all of our glasses with water except my husband's...and walked off. There are so many restaurants in Reston Town Center to choose from. Unfortunately, M&S Grill will no longer be our choice.

The restaurant was almost empty on Christmas Eve. Maybe that should have been a sign. Service was extremely slow. I cannot imagine how bad it would have been if the restaurant had been crowded. Although the server was very cordial, he needed reminders to bring additional bread and water. Other employees came two times each to check on the service. I don't know if they were simply understaffed or our server was just slow. The food was OK, not outstanding. Barbecue ribs were rather fatty. The overall experience was disappointing as we don't go out to dinner as a whole family often and this was supposed to be a special night for us.

Family dinner prior to wedding. A very large group (10). Got there at 6 pm and just barely finished our dinner in time for the other wedding event, also at M&S, which started at 7:30 pm. Could have been better if 2 waiters were assigned our table.

Great experience as usual. We were taking advantage of M&S's very generous tribute to Veterans, and the staff couldn't have been nicer. We chose to sit at a booth in the bar area and took advantage of the excellent Happy Hour values as well as my Veteran's meal. We have been to other M&S locations in the metro area, but like the Reston location because of the plentiful, easy access, and free parking, which we understand is about to come to an end after the first of the year. We hope M&S and M&S Grill Reston can do something to continue the advantageous parking situation. Thanks again for your Veteran's Day appreciation event from a very appreciative veteran.

I had dinner here with a group of 6 adults and 2 infants. The restaurant was very accommodating, the food was delicious and the service was great. It is probably a little higher priced that I would spend on a normal basis, but a place I would return to if I am at Reston Town Center again.

We love this retaurant and come here often. In January, RTC will force all customers to pay for parking. The alternative might be to have a parking stub validated by the merchant. Either way, the cost of parking will end up being paid by the customer. Starting in January, I will not return to M&S Grill or any other business that is located in Reston Town Center.

I got the fish tacos and could taste how old the oil was. Sent it back and order the warm spinach salad with bacon vinaigrette. The dressing was on the side, cold and broken. I couldn't believe they let it leave the kitchen. This was by far the worst food I've had in a long time.

It was a very special 92nd birthday party for my father, a WW2 fighter pilot, who is hard of hearing. Every birthday, Dad always wants a whole lobster. I set up a reservation on Open Table, and I called the M&S Grill a few days ahead of time to ask if they had full lobsters on the menu. Typically, they just serve lobster tails as part of their Surf N Turf special, but, upon hearing about our special occasion, the general manger/executive chef called me back and he ended up ordering us all 2.5 lb. whole lobsters! It couldn't have been better organized, cooked, or served. The lobster came with corn on the cob and broccoli, and we had Stella Artois beer, lobster bisque and/or crab tater-tots to start. The food, service and ambience were all great. They even turned down the music so that my Dad and I could hear better (both of us wear hearing aids). Besides my father, the rest of us all grew up in the '60's and '70's and they were playing music from that era, so we had a great time listening to the music, naming songs and bands, and reminiscing about concerts we had seen, etc. Dad and the rest of us all had a fantastic time. Parking is easy, as there is a free parking garage in the same block, which is a short half-block walk to the elevator up to the parking levels. We ate inside, but there were several groups who dined outside in the beautiful evening weather. It is on a quiet corner and a great place to have a business lunch, an office party, a special occasion dinner. In fact, our office held their Christmas party there in 2015. You can't go wrong with food and service like this. You get what you pay for...
